Last day of June? Really? Wow

LAURA AT THE CARWASH
MS150
Before the "OMG" hit
Just had to give ya a picture of the now famous
Car Wash... After all, you were so supportive!

Here we are... last day of June 2010, can ya believe it? Sitting here with my coffee, (poured 2 cups for me and my imaginary friend)... babies are running the NASCAR totally oblivious to the fact that in a mere 5 days they will have the family here to play with!  UH OHHH, we better get busy cleaning and making the joint sparkle like a holiday for them!

Where does time go... seems it was just yesterday that we were wanting spring to arrive in all its glory... Now the hibiscus are just blooming a bloom a day, Gypsy and Jeepers fighting to see who gets to shred those fallen flowers first; preferably in the freshly vacuumed floor I might just add!
Grass grows so fast the mower can hardly cool off; speaking of cooling off? Notice how that heat just drains ya? Florida heat... love it!
Yep, we've all recovered from the car wash, Laura just as tickled as tickled can be!
Shawna out there in Texas was singing
"Workin at the Car Wash"
all day from a distance she posted here ...

Ah yes, and my beloved Joan just had to go and comment on the shortest blog ever yesterday! So, I'm thinkin of shortening these thoughts... yep maybe if I don't get my "ramble on" it will leave more for folks to ponder and comment on, leaving me more to read!
Good idea...

Today I'm thinking of the family arriving soon; ah but what fun that will be. We will be heading off to Disney in JULY FLORIDA HEAT... for a couple of days to sweat.. I mean to play and experience the wonders of magic.  It will be awesome; Kamryn and Buddy Pal have their "excitement on" but their Mom and COB are maybe a bit more excited than the boyz I'm thinkin'.
?
As for me... I just stay excited!
So for today I'm hoping that you will find excitement around every corner, around each encounter with self and others.
It's summertime... watermelon, fresh tomato sandwiches with salt/pepper mayo and "white bread" yummy! The livin is easy... them fish jumpin in the gulf waters here in Tarpon Springs...

BEAUTY ABOUNDS... If we but open our hearts, our eyes and our "nuwati" our nervous systems! And don't forget the music ~

Have you heard from Ellen DeGeneres yet? I'm still waiting... maybe she and Portia are on vacation and that's why I haven't gotten that phone call.
Did you know that a Kangaroo cannot walk backwards... so sad for the Kangaroo don't ya think?

When is the last time you walked backwards? Try it for the view, but just be sure you survey what is there before hand... don't want you to get hurt!
Maybe rather than walking backwards we can just look back from time to time; holding on to that which brings us joy... sifting like sand and holding the treasures and letting the rest go!
"I always knew looking back on the tears would make me laugh, but I never knew looking back on the laughs would make me cry."

Here's to our wildest dreams and realities that make us stronger, more committed to being the best that we are...

stomp
STOMP
Have yourself the greatest of days...

July is coming, get ready to make some fireworks in your life, some picnics in your heart, some wonder in your world...
"As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back." {anonymous}
although this sounds quite familiar doesn't it... LOL
maybe not so anonymous I'm thinking.

The last day of June... Let's get the party started called
"LIFE" today. Invest in YOU, in others. Step into the light of now, we have now, this moment is yours; mine to make it count.
Step into the day with great gratitude knowing you have been blessed by the having of this day!
NOW... given that, whatchu going to do today?
Any phone calls; emails, letters that you might need to write?
Any random acts of kindness coming over you that you just might be wanting to do?
Buy someone some "skittles" and a coke!
They can have a rainbow in their mouths and fireworks in their brain at the same time. Wow! Now there's an idea who's time has come.
Start planning to go and see some fireworks on the 4th, but don't forget to record our Nations' Capital celebration it's awesome... sure would like to be there again someday and see that show.

The fire is burning brightly and its embers are hot... Thoughts on the gentle breezes to all today.
Hope in healing ways for our GULF and for all to know you are never alone (well maybe for a little while if you need a respite.
But we are with you when and if you need us along with some powerful angels here...

Say Thanks

Just Lay Back
and
Say Thanks
*Nana's Girl with those sweet little feet*

Tuesday morning... after a night of rolling thunder and a great rain... Morning coffee and the promise of a hot one today, sun come on and SHINE... For this day I give thanks... and so it is!

Say Thanks for thing in the morning and all during your day... So much and so many to be thankful for ~

Let us remember to be grateful for the simple everyday gifts we receive. The gift of a smile, a friend sitting with with us over a cup of coffee, the devotion of a four legged, good books, the beauty of music, the majesty of our gulf waters and the sea life, the winged ones, the North American Black Bears (Hope now has bling around her neck allowing the folks at http://www.bear.org/ to monitor her wanderings)! Life is indeed a grand adventure or nothing at all like Helen Keller said oh so long ago ~ STOMP in gratitude and great thanks... for and to all ~
The list is endless. The gifts bountiful. Some, in nature, like the sun, the rain, fog, moonlight, shadows and breezes.

Some, we give, and many more we receive.

It is easy to move through the day without stopping to really define these as gifts. Some seem so ordinary that we treat them as non events. But, our days are filled with these gifts. The everyday knowledge that we call the place we lay our head at night “home”. Most everyone will admit that they look forward to “going home”, or coming home” at the end of a long day at work, but do we really allow ourselves to know what a gift this is?
Do we take it for granted?

Do we appreciate it consciously?

I am, in the moment, aware that not everyone enjoys a roof over their head. A place to return to that one feels safe and familiar.
Do we go to work feeling that it is a burden, or, know, really know that we are fortunate to have a job that sustains us. That allows us some degree of financial comfort.

We have abundant water, indoor plumbing, a clean bed to sleep in, food on the table, the ability to get back and forth to work. Most of which we take for granted. And yet, so many have none of these comforts.
See a man or woman in a uniform today? Be sure and thank them for serving...
So let’s be about appreciating what we have right here, right now. We need not waste our time coveting that which we have not yet acquired, but rather be thankful for all that we do have.

The ordinary and extraordinary people, comforts, small joys and accomplishments that are ours in this moment.

Let us be filled up with gratitude every day. Some days we struggle. Some days are difficult. We wrestle with so many self made crisis in our lives that we often forget to wrap our heads around the enormity of all that we can appreciate that is good in our lives. It is a matter of perspective.

I cannot ponder the half full glass when mine brims over. I encourage each of us to first be grateful. To keep our focus on the many good and great moments each day holds.

Acknowledge the gifts, say thank you often.

Angst, depression and anger can find little traction in a deeply grateful heart and mind.

Today I wish you awareness of all that you have to be thankful for. I am thankful for each of you that visit here. I appreciate your thoughts, your words, your time.

I am grateful for the opportunity to write, and for your loyalty in reading. Wado.

I am blessed... pass it on with thanks and gratitude...

MAGINE THAT... MONDAY AND MOVING after the CARWASH!~

Me and Laura
Dressed Up and Out On Top
Of Tampa
Armani's
(we did NOT look like this on CarWash Sunday)

Here we go again... Monday morning! Best of all mornings to all ~ My way of thinking... out of bed, coffee poured, sitting upright...
IT'S A GREAT DAY!!!  I felt the thoughts of all who sent them for a great day yesterday and to all of you "wado"!

Wishing all who enter here a most remarkable day.

Yesterday was the car wash at Tiffany's in Palm Harbor... and oh what a day it was!
Let's see: we had Laura and Mitch in their matching MS t-shirts that you could see for at least a couple of miles on a cloudy day. It was a good 90+ degrees with sun blaring and barely a breeze...  BUT... ELLEN DEGENERES DID NOT SHOW UP :(  wonder what happened to her? Maybe she couldn't rent a plane, or buy a plane, or get a hold of John Travolta to come and get her... But, bet she would have come to support Laura if she could have right? Cos' after all I did challenge her to a "dance off" with Laura! Now wouldn't that be something... a dance off with Laura for MS on the Ellen show! I like it... great fun-raiser I'm thinking and heaven knows it wouldn't be as back breaking as a car wash...
HINT: put your money on Laura!!!

OK, so ... I think that folks who go out to eat after church don't like to give money too much... After all, they just did the tithe thing, they just paid to eat and stuff... It was a bit hard to get them to "pony up the dough" if you know what I mean!!! But for others, it was just no problem at all, they seemed to "get it"...

Imagine this: one man in a nice big car, just finished his big meal with his wife: brought his car out back for the car wash: 5 sprung into action and gave it the best car wash ever! AFTER he gave us a $10 dollar bill... and HE WANTED CHANGE???? My Laura sweating like a bull... and he wanted change! Mitch announced, hey anyone got some change for this man... Laura looked around, and then finally someone found him a five dollar bill....

We were situated in the back of Tiffany's rather hard to see from the road... hmmm, better re- think that for future as we did not have the cheerleaders from the Tampa Bay Bucs there to sway traffic, and the cutie babes were not out from "Wings" the ever popular restaurant next door... Therefore limiting our "curb appeal" if you get my drift! Something about us just didn't fit that particular bill I'm thinkin'... cute as we are, we just don't have that "special daisy duke short cute" ~ Maybe we could get the Bucs cheerleaders next time? Or the USF bulls? hmmm, I be thinking about that, I did tweet USF about the event!
We did have Keegan... Laura's ever so handsome, ever so tall son though! He did manage to catch the eye of Pinellas County Sheriff for standing and dancing in the middle of median on US 19 in his "cop shades" and was told to "get off the median strip"! Silly boy... he had a great opportunity to ask the nice policeman to drive him safely to the car wash and GET HIS CRUISER WASHED.. but ohhhh no, he just got off the median before he got arrested! I did ask him if he showed the officer his official shades... perhaps he could have caught a break... He smiled and replied and said, "Nah, I'd go to jail for my Mamma, but I was dancing and I did show some cleavage before I almost got arrested"!

We also had one of our early morning regular readers and wounded warrior Irene there in her splendor with her badly needing replaced knee! She sat with an "umbrella hat" two umbrellas for shade... a sign and her "mouth"... telling all to come around back and get their car washed, DONATE YOU DOUGH FOR FINDING A CURE FOR MS... She did quite well with getting folks to cough up some greenbacks and hats off to her for her support and her hard work.... Irene didn't have her car washed, but she had collected money from neighbors and added it to her own to hand over to Laura! And Laura loved the umbrella hat Irene was wearing too!

It's all about a "community of caring" and we do have a caring community!

Then we had another of our regular readers there... We had Breast Cancer SURVIVOR CHRIS V. THERE... minus her boobs! She didn't need em anyway... After all, like Chris says, "the girls were born in NY and I left them in NY, I'm home and I'm Cancer FREE." Chris is back at work, learning to live life with a "Cancer Survivor attitude", now, admitting that life is much different once you've been faced with your own mortality, once you've been charged with taking control of your own destiny and once you've STOMPED...
SHE IS A WARRIOR... A SURVIVOR... and will be the first to tell you: CANCER/MS SUCKS.
It was great to see her, to be with her, to see her rally around Laura...
AND, she pitched right in and busted suds like a crazy woman she did!
Thank you Chris, for all you are and the inspiration you are to so many here and everywhere... and Laura thanks you for everything including the dough, the love, getting the word out to your colleagues and the care... STOMP!

HOW ARE YOU TODAY? I wish you all that you dare to dream...

Dorothy enlisted a couple of young women who work for her, Erika and Stephanie. Stephanie, aka Tweak brought her significant other (someday  spouse) named Chris. He is a wonderful young man... the more I see him, the more he feels like someone I want to call family and know for a long time.
Stephanie has been our baby sitter when out of town with Magic, Jeepers, Gypsy and Patches! Gotta love her for that, she had a healthy respect for our Magic, knowing he was "James Dean". She is a lovely young woman with a heart of gold and a dedicated and hard worker....
These three brought the things essential to our day being successful:
Great humor, passion, dedication, excitement, fun, and boy could they bust some suds! All three also stood on the side of US 19 holding and waving signs for the car wash; dancing like mad.
Chris said he was looking crazy... We thought he was dancing but come to find out he found himself standing in a "red ant" colony and they were biting him to pieces and they sure do sting!  So his crazy dance moves and antics were actually a man being eaten by red ants!!!
Poor guy, but it was great for the attention to our carwash.

Mitch... awww Mitch, what a man! Mitch had the place fixed up awesome, buckets lined up with space between for the cars to pull in. Two hoses, sponges, ladders for the roof of the cars. Towels draped across his pickup, fans plugged in to try and give Laura some respite from the heat!
Did I mention that we love us some Mitch! A great man, an honest man, a wonderful man... Mitch had worked 13 hours on Saturday, almost 19 on Thursday... But on Saturday after he got home, Laura had tasks for him to do in preparation for the carwash prior to his shower and then off to dinner out with her uncle as he was leaving for IL.... no rest and then up at 0-dark thirty this AM...
Mitch is currently looking for full time work in Palm Harbor/Tarpon/Clearwater area and is great at everything he touches... He's done it all from concrete work/lawn services to I don't know what all... He is now working for company in Tampa and has been sent to MS, GA, TN and places for two weeks at a time... Crazy I tell ya, just crazy ~ Anybody out there know of a stable company needing a good and honest man, let me know and I'll get ya in touch with him.
He was dead on his feet today, and still working and sweating like a mad man; all the while being sure everyone was all right ~
That's our Mitch though; Always calm as a cucumber; he lives pretty much in the no pressure zone as far as anyone can see, but is a deep man, and a man so in love with his Laura.

Of course Dorothy and I brought coolers and coolers filled with gator aid, water, soda pop... LOL, when is the last time you heard that? POP!~
Last night we made a run for ice and filled the coolers with 60 pounds of ice! We had our own ice box~
Then this morning drained the water and hit the ice store again to top it off... Dorothy ran circles around some of the kids (she always does) cleaning cars, drying cars, organizing, tending to the needs of those around, standing on the side of US 19, flagging in customers... oh boy was she a happy camper when she hit the pool last night... even thought she might just sleep in the pool her body was so tired and hurtful ~ The thoughts of a nocturnal visitor aka snake of recent days changed her thinking and her focus about that though! LOL
DRATZ... we are not as young as we used to be!

Granny one time said, "If I knew I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of my body"... I am of her blood and that sentiment is beginning to sound most familiar...

And then... here comes Laura's family... with little kids too. Now Chris is great with kids, let the water works begin: hosing each other, throwing sponges at each other, oh my what fun that was... and the first car? Laura's Mom Judy, Step-Dad, friends . . . suds suds suds///

Yep... the first car was washed by Mitch and Keegan.. and a crisp $100.00 bill was handed to Laura...
The third car... a hug and a check for $100.00 handed to Laura...
More cars; checks, cash... sweat, heat, hoses, water..... stomping in the puddles....
LAUGHER, music
STOMP

Did I mention the heat? Now the sun is hot hot hot, burning/reflecting on the asphalt; no air, just heat. Florida heat!
Boy oh boy.. at one point I reached in that ice chest and got me the coldest coke I can ever remember... it was GREAT~ Best ever I tell ya..

The music loud, the kids running, Chris he just had a ball with those kids too, entertaining, Laura sweating, pacing, busting suds and we put a bag of ice under her ball cap and we hosed her down too ~ encouraging her to sit down for awhile... BUT OH NOOOOO, she wouldn't have any part of that (knowing that once she sat it would be all over!)

Did you know..
In a lifetime the heart pumps about one million barrels of blood...
Just thought you might want to know that little bit of information for the next cocktail party or car wash you go to...

OK, almost forgot... at the carwash, in drives Grandma (Laura's) 91 years old! Laura's son, brother (who works at Home Depot where they are matching all monies raised yesterday through this month) and the kids washed Grandma's car!  We all kissed and made over Grandma who at first wasn't going to come cos' she "didn't want to be in the way".  I laughed and said, "Be in the way??? Are you kidding? Give her a sponge or a hose, she won't ever be in the way!  She was tickled to have the attention and the car was washed by her family, what a great thing... the generations all together... all trying to CURE MS for their own... OUR OWN... Laura's 91 year old Grandma Edith is a love, a special lady who not only still drives, but lives on her own alone, and is a volunteer at the same hospice works for (now Laura there 16 years)! Remember friends, attitude is 3/4 of most everything...

We are all in this together... As I have been writing about MS all week, sharing with folks on email, Facebook, in the streets... it is remarkable even on Lily the North American Black Bears' Facebook fan page, (now over 100,000 fans) how many folks have family members, friends, know someone who knows someone with this disease... Given that fact, we must all recognize, that collectively we CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE, WE CAN BE A PART OF THE RESEARCH FUNDING TO FIND A CURE, AND A CURE IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER FOR LAURA AND THOSE YOU KNOW AND LOVE...
lauraroorda@yahoo.com
if ya wanna send her a shout!
MS150 Laura's daughter Shawna rides it in TX!

Laura would text bike riding Shawna each time we hit a new total... it began with 1st car washed $100.00 STOMP...

People don't know what they don't know... And we have to help with that. Will you help?
Will you let people know that they can do something to help with awareness of MS, of Breast Cancer of whatever it is that YOU feel passionate about?
For some it is the research being done at http://www.bear.org/ they have fallen head over heels in love with the North American Black bears, with Lily and with HOPE... they donate, they do things to raise funds, awareness... they are captured, captivated... Me too, I was captured by Lily before she gave us HOPE, still am!
But, I have to STOMP for others too.
With others they are living with diseases that leave you weak in the knees, too tired to cut a steak for dinner (*we were so tired that I could barely stand up straight and too tired to think about eating) and it was in that moment that I realized once again,
"OH MY GOD, this is what Laura is living with and it comes over her out of the blue, just in a blink of the eye... just like that". At least I knew why I was feeling the way I was feeling; a combination of extreme heat, being on my feet, acting like a teenager for too many hours washing and drying cars... I knew that with a fall in the pool and plenty of water and rest I would be okie dokie... And I knew by looking at my friend that she was exhausted beyond words or comprehension to many... And I knew that we have to tell people to cough up some dough, any dough, we must find and cure this wretched disease...

People don't know what they don't know:

After all:
only 55% of all Americans know that the sun is a star, and that is a fact!

So if you want a glimpse of MS... go to FL. Disney in July; start at about 0900, wear a backpack with stuff in it. Stay out in the heat all day; run around like a crazy person, ride to ride to ride to exhibit all day, eat and drink very very little, and don't stop til the fireworks at 10pm. Find a seat and watch the fireworks, then try to get up, find your way to your car and drive to your hotel...  REMEMBER... NO BREAKS IN THE HEAT now, just keep on trucking, and when that extremis of exhaustion and confusion of what have I seen, where have I been and what am I doing come over you... that is your brain getting all jumbled up with the neurons and nerves hitting and sparking on each other when they shouldn't ... That is MS flaring... but for you, it is temporary cos' of your crazed day!

Feeling me here???

SO NOW... back to the car wash ~
Paul Hittos, new proud papa of son #3 drove in and had his car washed and ran in to run his restaurant, telling all to make sure they finished their meals by "go around back and get your car washed"!  Good news about that car was, I got to drive his car and threatened to keep the keys!

Aristotle said once, "In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous"

Yesterday was hard work, but it was marvelous; nature was good, the sky was beautiful, tropical storm Alex left us alone, the thunder beings did not come out to play until the afternoon... late afternoon at that...

WE MADE .... (drum roll)  over $600.00!!!

MORE THAN $600.00 SIX HUNDRED BUCKS!!!

I am ever so grateful to all who came, all who sent their energies, their love and their thoughts for this event to be a success!

I am ever so grateful to have Laura and Mitch in my life... and will be ever so grateful for the cure of MS...

AND... this morning I am just so blessed to have and to know such awesome folks here and to feel sure that when someone in our community needs them, they will STAND UP, STOMP and ANSWER THE CALL... What an amazing thought that is... Warriors ... who believe in the power of each other, in the great ability to stand together united as one in our desire to affect change... and watch as it happens for each other, for ourselves and for the greater good...

As for me?  Today I am so very blessed to know that the best chiropractor in all of Florida is MINE and his name is
Dr Kevin Gallagher in Palm Harbor...

and that He is going to put all my places right back together just like humpty dumpty who fell off the wall but Dr Gallagher will do a far superior job! And I will be walking in the clouds when he is done ~

Laura will be working today and I sure am hoping she is walking on clouds as a result of our successful carwash, send her an email, congratulate her for a successful Sunday and a CURE FOR MS...
Mitch will be out in the hot sun working today... and the world will be a better place because a community STOMPED for one of their own yesterday!

What about you today?
                     What are you doing?
Do it well, do it with all that you are...
Do it with a grateful heart and a generous spirit...
Do it because you choose to be the best that you are...

The fire is burning and I am sending thoughts of healing ways and hope on gentle breezes to all who enter here and all whose names you often see here... We are with you in all that you are and all that you are going through always.

SUNDAY SUNDAY working at the car wash SUNDAY SUNDAY

Nana's Girl
The Wonder of Bubbles

Sunday Morning... Coffee hot; Coffee good...
Time to GET THIS PARTY STARTED!
Time to get the bubbles going, the motor running
and get to
Tiffany's Restaurant
US 19
Palm Harbor
FL
For FUN FUN FUN
Breakfast, Coffee
and
CAR WASH TO MAKE SOME DOUGH
TO FIND A
CURE FOR MS

for Laura and 2.5 million others out there!

Attitude... GREAT
Bathing Suit/Shorts... check
Tanning Lotion... check
Ball Cap... check
Tennis Shoes...check
Tunes to wash cars by... check
Cooler packed with H20... check

Energy... so far excellent
OUTSTANDING SO FAR
"If I felt any better this morning I'd have to slap Laura when I see her first thing at Tiffany's"
BRAIN... check

Neurons shooting on all cylinders
(I think therefore they are super charged)
Fingers just plunking on these keys, toes tappin to the sounds of the early birds out here singin, four-leggeds seem to know something is up...

All righty then, I have tweeted, I have posted on Facebook, I have emailed... everyone within hollering distance of Tampa and then some. Told all of this most remarkable car wash happening today. Asking for support, hugs, dollars, and mostly asking for all to come out and bring their "clean" cars (thinking it will be so much easier to pretend to wash, take their money and get their hugs)... Good idea right?

I even tweeted USF asking them to come, promising them that if they show out I will tell the world about those USF Bulls in all their glory... I am a woman of my word you know!

Of course I also joined with the masses in front of my TV yesterday watching and hoping and not breathing as I watched USA in the World Cup... At one point I thought poor little Jeepers and Gypsy would be bald I was rubbing and holding them so tightly as USA was working so hard... Ghana worked hard, they deserved the win, and congratulations to them.
USA stand tall and stand proud... you fought till the whistle blew, and you made us proud.
I do not understand something though... why is it that the clock does NOT stop when a player falls down or the ball goes out of play??? Is it me or did Ghana take the longest of times to Get up once down... or the longest of times to get "off the field, get the ball back in play, or back on the field" as the clock just kept going???

Nana's girl just might end up in the Olympics someday for her soccer skills... a fierce little competitor she is and a remarkable soccer player indeed! I can see her there, I have tremendous expectancy that she will rise to the challenge and she already has the passion... What a wonderful combination for life.

Remember Dr Seuss and His now famous quote about "brains in your head and feet in your shoes..."
So here on this Sunday which way will you choose?
To follow your passion I hope, as I ready myself to wash MS out for my dearest Laura and so many others.
Ah... usually we find ourselves on Lake Tarpon on the boat on these hot, sultry Sundays or on our beloved Gulf; soaking up the sun, the music, looking for stories to amuse, honor or bring about a tear or three but always the guarantee of profound laughter for all and whales tales to put in the brains memory chest.
Today, we'll store a different memory at the end of the day, but doubt we'll end it with a steak... Probably won't be able to lift our arms high enough to get a knife to work if we have the kind of day we have planned with the number of cars we have visualized washing!

WE MUST RAISE MONEY TO CURE MS NOW!
A CURE IS WITHIN SIGHT.

Speaking of sight... did you know that you can strengthen the muscles in your eyes? I didn't either until a recent visit to the eye doctor. He says if you make the letter "H" with your eyes you can actually exercise ALL of your eye muscles and "it's good for you".
You just look waayyyy UP and then waaayyyy down, then half way up... then alll the wayyy to the right and back alll the wayyy to the left. and Voila! You have made a "H" with your eyes and actually
"STRETCHED ALL OF THE MUSCLES IN YOUR EYES"

How bout that?

A Sunday morning little tidbit... now beware... it looks really weird and it is hard, and it may make you a little woozy... or a brief pain in your head...
Interesting to note
that is a MS symptom as well just thought you might want to know that, then not only do you have a face
(Laura) to put this disease to
but
now you have just given yourself a slight symptom
now magnify it times oh let's say 12,000
and you know what she goes through a little bit...

WE MUST RID PEOPLE OF THIS DISEASE CALLED MS

How bout that picture of Nana's girl with those bubbles?
She is sure growing up too quickly. I think we should duct tape them when they are little so they don't grow so quick... I mean after all, they now have duct tape in beautiful colors, so it wouldn't be unpleasant to look at!

Did you know...
"Shrimps are the loudest thing in the ocean"
Speaking of water, the Gulf Waters come to my mind.
BP = PHONY BALONEY

SAVE OUR GULF
Hundreds of people including Florida Gov. Charlie Crist joined hands on an oil-stained strip of Pensacola Beach as part of an international demonstration against offshore drilling. Organizers of "Hands Across the Sand" said similar protests were held at beaches around the nation and in several foreign countries. The demonstration also was intended to show support for clean alternatives to fossil fuels.

Everyone is keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Alex that could stop all work and further this devastation ...
Visualize Alex going elsewhere...
Move Alex with our collective energies and minds!
STOMP

While oil companies have spent billions of dollars to drill deeper and farther out to sea, relatively little money and research have gone into finding new, improved ways to respond to oil spills in deep sea conditions like those in the Gulf of Mexico. Experts say the massive Gulf spill has exposed a failure by the industry and the federal government to commit adequate resources to oil cleanup and response technology.

VIPS
Some big names are coming to the Gulf next week to tour areas affected by the spill. Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, President Barack Obama's point man for the clean up and recovery, arrives Monday for a five-day visit. Coast Guard Adm. Thad Allen says he, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and White House energy adviser Carol Browner will also be in the region Monday. Vice President Joe Biden is due to arrive Tuesday.

Do you think they are reading our page? Women are coming!!! Do you think they are reading our pages... They said it is "gushing" rather than a "spill"... in an earlier report? A spill is cleaned up by "Bounty paper towels in my way of thinking... perhaps if BP execs spilled coffee?  THIS IS NOT COFFEE SPILLED on your white shirt or on the teak deck of yacht named "BOB"...

This is a disaster.. that is threatening lives, killing sea life, the winged ones, our Mother Earth and a man has completed suicide who saw no other way...

YO BP ARE YOU LISTENING???

Thank God/dess, Creator we are not asking them to fund/find a Cure for MS... they would send us a robot or a oil filter or a bundle of Bounty paper towels or NOTHING.

SAVE OUR GULF... STAND UP... STOMP...

BP STOCK HITS ALL TIME LOW... good time for us all to buy reckon??? and just fool them...

Oh me don't get me going, gotta have more coffee, double check and hit the road with my relatively clean vehicle... Got to get to Tiffany's so I can have my breakfast, chat with Paul, and find excuse after excuse... I am the author of Healing Heartaches you know... someone may need me there ~ ~ ~ FAT CHANCE OF THAT RIGHT??? I know... wash those cars... I got it!

A Lot can HAPPEN IN A YEAR YOU KNOW

SHAWNA ROORDA

NEARING THE FINISH LINE

Good morning morning... Wowzer slept in this morning!
Felt great... bone crushing, drool on the pillow, sleep too.
Coffee poured, dogs barking me awake now, UP
GET UP AND STOMP they say!
Ok, OK, I'm UP
Ready to STOMP
~ ~ ~

Sleep well?
I can't believe a year has passed... Michael Jackson died a year ago yesterday... and the press is still feeding, the greed mongers still chasing him.
Aren't his children beautiful?
Dance in the lights Michael, Dance on the stars with your musical brilliance baby boy... play in the galaxies and trust your Mom will care for your most precious children here, keeping them safe from the press best she can.
We continue to be blessed by the music, the passion, the beat... Sure wish I could bust a move like Michael!
Maybe that will be my exercise today ~
DRatz... just remembered... Ellen De didn't call yesterday... maybe she just bought her own plane and is on her way now? Reckon?
It's HURRICANE SEASON... Again they are predicting a rough one... they do predict that each year you know.
I hear that our first named storm ALEX may now threaten our CAR WASH... and the oil spill? OIL spill... speaking of that, think it's time we change that name don't you?
I can't help but think of a kid spilling his milk and someone using a "bounty towel" to clean it up when I think of a "spill"....
Think it's time to change that name.
Yep... time to get real with that name is what I'm thinking. WHOEVER THOUGHT OF "OIL SPILL" anyways? Probably BP.. remember spill =Bounty to the rescue... this is NOT a spill...
A man who made his living shrimping I believe left a lengthy suicide note and followed through completing suicide last night in Alabama. Did you know that BP?
Are you going to the memorial service?
HOW are you going to compensate the family on that one? Just wondering...

So... we've got our first named storm of the year goin on,
Alex
and it's threatening to "rain on our parade"!
STOMP

sunday SUNDAY sunday
CAR WASH
TRIFFANYS
PALM HARBOR FL
US 19
0900
WASHING OUT MS
Yep we will be doin that all right
So what if it rains... makes it easier for us to bust those suds... right? Cars will already be wet and we just have to add elbow grease and a little soap!

Ever meet those kind of people or circumstances or moments who try to rain on your parades?
 DO NOT LET THEM...

Speaking of today... today my friend Ali Legrand is in South Carolina Pouring for the Shore with a fun-Raiser for our Gulf. I wish her all the best in raising dough and supplies for all the volunteers there. Please be careful my friends, wear this year's beach fashions with flair:
RUBBER GLOVES, YELLOW AND WHITE HAZMAT SUITS, GOGGLES, RESPERATORS, MASKS, HEAVY DUTY GARBAGE BAGS (TO PICK UP GLOBS OF OIL (compliments of Tony Hayward, send thanky cards), shovels, rakes, drink plenty of H20).. You probably won't need sun tan lotion since most of you will be covered up though...
WISHING YOU A SUCCESSFUL FUN RAISER FOR OUR GULF AND APPRECIATE ALL YOU ALL ARE DOING THERE.

So my friends, today's thoughts will be short and to the point.
Concentrate your energies to keep Alex out of our waters... so that the storms will not gather and send the 'OIL GUSH' to our shores and stop PHoney Baloney from their work at stopping the GUSH.
Speaking of BP... where are our Navy Seals in this operation? After all our Navy Seals are pretty remarkable folks... Brave, honorable, genius in their skills and undertakings... Haven't heard that they are there.
Bring on the Navy Seals, The Marines, The WOMEN too.

IT'S OUR PARADE... YOUR PARADE... YOUR DAY TODAY...
Enjoy each breath, each experience, each moment.
DO NOT LET ANYONE RAIN ON YOUR PARADE EVER.

Got this email yesterday, going to share it with you.
\
A woman was at her hairdresser's getting her hair styled for a trip to Rome with her husband.. She mentioned the trip to the hairdresser, who responded:

" Rome ? Why would anyone want to go there? It's crowded and dirty. You're crazy to go to Rome . So, how are you getting there?"

"We're taking Continental," was the reply. "We got a great rate!"

"Continental?" exclaimed the hairdresser. " That's a terrible airline. Their planes are old, their flight attendants are ugly, and they're always late. So, where are you staying in Rome ?"

"We'll be at this exclusive little place over on Rome 's Tiber River Called Teste."

"Don't go any further. I know that place. Everybody thinks its gonna be something special and exclusive, but it's really a dump."

"We're going to go to see the Vatican and maybe get to see the Pope."

"That's rich," laughed the hairdresser. You and a million other people trying to see him. He'll look the size of an ant.

Boy, good luck on this lousy trip of yours. You're going to need it."

A month later, the woman again came in for a hairdo. The hairdresser asked her about her trip to Rome .
"It was wonderful," explained the woman, "not only were we on time in one of Continental's brand new planes, but it was overbooked, and they bumped us up to first class. The food and wine were wonderful, and I had a handsome 28-year-old steward who waited on me hand and foot..

Oh  the hotel was great! They'd just finished a $5 million remodeling job, and now it's a jewel, the finest hotel in the city. They, too, were overbooked, so they apologized and gave us their owner's suite at no extra charge!"

"Well," muttered the hairdresser, "that's all well and good, but I know you didn't get to see the Pope."

"Actually, we were quite lucky, because as we toured the Vatican, a Swiss Guard tapped me on the shoulder, and explained that the Pope likes to meet some of the visitors, and if I'd be so kind as to step into his private room and wait, the Pope would personally greet me.

Sure enough, five minutes later, the Pope walked through the door and shook my hand! I knelt down and he spoke a few words to me."
"Oh, really! What'd he say ?"

He said: "Who f**ked up your hair?"
