See ya January

Nana's Girl
My Sweet Olivia
Monday Morning

Good Morning Monday
Coffee hot and soo good!

Last day of January, and after today
here we come February
are you ready friends?

Tomorrow I board the silver Eagle and the
"friendly skies" again, heading for Philadelphia
Baltimore, and Virginia
speaking
and then
to my beloved
Olivia and Joan!
Olivia is having surgery on Feb 04
where they will
"stop/deaden" the growth plates in both ankles
secondary to that terrible break of the ankle
and
damage to the growth plate
months ago while defending the goal playing
soccer.
The growth plate did not heal
so
on the 4th, while I am speaking
she will undergo surgery on both ankles
that will just stop both.
<>
Our little Warrior
Olivia
please hold her and mama Joan
UP
in your thoughts and prayers.

So much to do, so much to prepare for, so little time...
It's the end of January, the beginning of a new week, a new month a day away.
Good to start the day with mindfulness, with reflection, with a moment of prayer, with a song in your heart.
"Creator, thank you, "wado" Use me up... just take your time, ok?"
My daily and afternoon and nightly prayer!

So many lose focus,
but
I will remind you and me
"See it, Believe it, Recieve it"
Stay with focus
and
mindfulness

It is truly amazing... those feelings that just pop up and overwhelm us leaving us weak in the knees sometimes, even weak in spirit at times. People just wandering along and thinking about their lives, their struggles; maybe their challenges or pain of loss, sometimes feeling "out of control", just tending to matters at hand ~ and then it happens. Something so strong that leaves humankind feeling weak in the limbs and oh so alone and vulnerable! Discovering that once again you have no sense of control, feeling bewildered by tears, thoughts, feelings and out of balance within and without. Out of balance with the world around you. It is at moment that you have forgotten "The Warrior Within", and begin to feel alone and sequestered in your pain, that is not good friends.

I have good news to share with you! These are normal powerful emotions along your journey and "The Warrior Within" is still "Within"!!!

Rather than perceiving this as a "break-down" perhaps it is the time to "look-through-different-eyes" and see it as a "break-THROUGH" the pain. It may be one of the hardest lessons in life both to learn and to accept, but the reality of our world is there are times when we actually have little control of things that touch us and affect us in our world. Try as we might, there are things that will influence our equilibrium. It would be comforting to think that we could control all aspects of our lives, but not very realistic. Remember throwing a stone into the river.... remember the ripples and the influence of it hitting the water... it affects all. That's pretty much the same with humankind. Ah, but again demonstrating the importance of "paying it forward with random acts of kindness" as well!

You may determine you have most control in your surroundings; your home feels safe perhaps. You control who you let enter (or not), the mood you create, the sacredness you surround yourself with! Even though there may be times when you long for another to hear your pain, to hold your fears at bay, remember... you are the Warrior within and hopefully you are learning to call on that light to shine through! We are so very communal by nature, needing others more than we like to think! By extending your heart to others, you have become vulnerable to the pain of loss, the door of disappointment and the great wealth of love.

I hear there are many gifts to be received by others' by allowing them to offer and provide support to you during your times of happiness, pain, struggle, loss, grief and healing while giving you time to rest and restore and feed your Warrior Within.

With others you can honor the memories of loved ones, you can tell your stories of loss, of struggle, victory and triumph's. You can share your life, your dreams, your hopes, you can hold fast and remember... and experience the blessings of support.

There is no shame in asking for support, allowing others to "be there" for you, knowing you are different now than ever before; moving to a different and ever changing bright light, holding dear those things you cherish while finding the strength of your Warrior Within to release the rest. We are constantly in motion if we allow our emotions to move us. We are fluid by nature, dance, sway, move it up and onward in directions of what you want it to be...
Grab life and hold on, with all you have, but do not ever ever give in or give up. Play today, enjoy yourself, smile for no reason, or better yet >>> you be the reason for the smile that confuses and amuses those around you!

"It may be that some little root of the sacred tree still lives." (Black Elk)

Listen for the sound in your heart ~~~~ It will soothe you and bring you comfort.

THe fire is burning brightly this morning, the sage and cedar are filling the air with thoughts on the wind to all in the prayer bowl, for all who enter here, and those of you who know who you are... STOMP

NIce and Slow Sunday ... Nice and Slow

MS
BAKE SALE
Boy did we have that table loaded yesterday!
AND
We did
GREAT!
STOMP
Warriors be PROUD
We were high on the smells of sugar all day!
Laura, Andrea, Chris,
(Firm/IceScream/Scream) Irene
STOMPED
and
angels were around us
amazing connections were made
with two Moms
who met and shared intimate
connections
and folks
were just amazed at the sights, smells
and
tastes
of our tables and the offerings!
If you want to congratulate our Warrior
or find out how to help her with a donation
to wipe out MS
send her a shout !!!
WE DID GOOD
and
We Will NOT stop.
It was rather funny though as the introductions and
re-introductions were made once again,
IMagine:
"Irene u remember Andrea"
to which Irene smiled as big as the sun and says,
"Sign me A... I'm Firm"
hahaha
How great is that!
Then we all call Mom to sing Happy Birthday
and she knows all
from the comments here and speaks to All!
What a day I tell you!

Good Morning Sunday
Now Let's Take This Day Real
Nice and Slow
I have to tell you though
the stain glass of yesterday's picture
was not of the Bethel Church though!
It was in fact,
taken from my window here
and is beautiful indeed!
It was made for me by a life long friend
who makes stain glass,
Mary now lives on the Beach of North Carolina
a talented artisan
she is,
and if you ever want a piece designed for you,
just leave a comment and we'll get you her information!

That beautiful "Chocolate Bundt Cake" of yesterday
was purchased by
Landon Korbeck's Mom Susan yesterday
as
yesterday was Landon's birthday.
Some of his friends' were coming by to see Landon's parents
and to remember Landon.
The cake was going to be enjoyed by all.
Susan came to the bake sale wearing a t-shirt with
Landon's picture
and
"ONE LOVE"
written on top!
We were surrounded with angels,
and
of course
Andreas' beloved Jaren
let us know she was there as well,
our total throughout the day
would often have a "7" in it,
just like the car wash,
Jaren died
on
07-07-07.
Angels were all around us.
We are surrounded by powerful Angels
both here and in the next place
and
I thank you all.

The fire is burning brightly, its embers are hot... the air is filling with sage and cedar ~ ~ ~ Prayers are being offered.

Good morning
Great morning it is
As a matter of fact

It's Mom's birthday too!
so
Happy Happy Birthday Mom!
Wishing you a year of
wonderment, of joy, of happiness
and
wonderful Latin ZUMBA
laughter, love and all the
greatness you dare to dream!

We've shared many a
"Magical Time"
Mom and I
Here > at Disney with our
Boys and Angie!
Wow it's going to be quite the day it is!

It is also the birthday of
Landon Korbek

A young man
who died this past May 7, 2010,
unexpectedly and suddenly.
Gone too soon at 17 years old.
Today
Landon's Mom and Dad will celebrate
this day when their precious child came into this world
and remember his life
his love and all he gave those17 years of life shared.
Landon
friend of many
lover of music and avid guitar player
a Bob Marley fan of the finest.
His now famous legacy
of
"One Love"
special bracelets now worn by all who loved him
his Martin classic guitar restored in time for this
birthday
will be played by his Dad today
he plans to play some wicked cool blues for his
beloved wife Susan
to honor their beloved son
and
to soothe each others hearts along the way
and surround themselves with the loving support
of those who join
with
"One Love" for Landon.
Today
they plan to start their day with a walk on the Dunedin Causeway where Landon loved to walk, to be near the waters, to possibly see the dolphins jump,
then to come to the bake sale
to get that
marvelous
death by chocolate cake
made for this day
imagine?
Chocolate
Dark chocolate fudge, cooked pudding, 3/4 pound of
semi-sweet chocolate chips
all put together with love
<>
Susan and Greg Korbek are going to come to
Bethel today
and get that fantastic cake
STOMP
to honor
and
remember their precious son
Landon
and then celebrate that he lived
with friends of his who plan to stop over and visit
with those who have loved him.
They are learning to live differently now
while embracing a life lived fully
and
a child gone too soon.
Happy Birthday Landon,
you are missed by so many,
you live in the hearts of so many and will forever.
Later the Korbeks will attend a music concert to listen
to one of Landons favorite muscisians
(they may need ear plugs) for that
but
they will honor their precious child
they will do that together
and
they will continue the
journey
the long and often ardous journey
of
grief
and perhaps
they will get a message, a gift, a touch
along the day along the path
from
Landon!

Meanwhile in Southwest Virginia
there will be something going on there
maybe something delightful
to celebrate
Mom, *aka* the COB, *aka* The General
and
she will be "feeling the love" of the "fam"

It will be a blessed day for many
if
that is the chosen path.

The cars are being loaded up
the sugar and raspberry smells and lemon and did I mention
sugar
is in the air, making thoughts of energy and laughter possible already in the day.

It is a GREAT DAY...

Crafts, fellowship, perhaps a prayer or twenty.
People will gather together, friends will laugh
folks will catch up!
Oh what a day is starting already.
And
there will be a raffle!

Just thought of that this week...
Laura has fixed up a
"Laura style butterfly plant"
and
good ole baker extraordinaire Dorothy
has designed a most exquisite silk arrangement
that some lucky person will win in the raffle of the day.

OH my
it will be a grand day to be certain:

Now really
who could resist buying
Raffle tickets
for this arrangement of flowers
designed by
Dorothy
I ask you???
FANTASTIC IT IS
A one of a kind indeed
sure to draw some
big bucks for
MS
today!
Thank you Dorothy,
you are
A WARRIOR OF THE FINEST
I am honored that you are always here to
"stand by me"

Laura has MS
BUT
MS will never "have" Laura!

and
WE
will Never Give up!

MS
you might as well just throw yourself in
the Gulf of Mexico today, sink and be done.
We will not stop.

We have Warriors all over you,
from Spain, to England, To New Zealand, To Australia,
to VA, to MD, To PA, To CO, To TX, To CA, To MN, To GA, To SD in lodges,
and everywhere else
WE ARE ON TO YOU
AND WE
ARE NOT GOING TO BE STOPPED.

Before I end,
I will share
Laura;s comments from last night that I saw on this page,
she was baking and loading her car when I last heard from her before falling in bed to prepare for this day after a long week at hospice working.
She is amazed once again at the outpouring of support from readers and Warriors here, and emails
to drop her a line!
Laura posted here last night:
"The hand of MS, attached to the rest of MS me... is excited to put another bite in the fate of MS! Baked what I could wihout too much damage (ie burnt ones!) and now draggin' my weary buns to bed! But I can't go to bed without thanking my earthly angels, my fellow warriors! You have all been a solid rock for me, helping me stand tall when my legs feel weak, helping me see the bright side of a mean disease when things aren't quite right. As I go to bed, God Bless the fallen officers, and their families. Beyond sad, so many sad things going on I feel guilty somethines if I ever feel sorry for myself, MS is little in the big scheme of things, and I plan to use my energy to end MS! So others don't have to deal with this frustrating disease...and it is a disease. But so many things that can be worse. I am blessed more than most with the love and support I have always, and in all ways! Thank you all for the heartfelt words of support, the hard elbow grease, and the constant friendship I feel from each of you! Happy BIRTHDAY tomorrow COB! XO "

So there ya go,
from my dearest friend, my family of choice
oh boy, I sure did make a "grand choice"
and
my heartfelt thanks to
all who gather here
and
those warriors
ANDREA (sing me A)
Chris (Breast CA Survivor)
Irene (usually first to comment)
Mom (for her MS contribution from VA)
Dotti B (contribution from PA)
sissy 2 wolves (lodge blessings in SD)
and others
for your emails of support from all over the world
for our success today
STOMP

The fires are burning, embers are hot, the sage is fired up with thoughts on the wind.
Intentions are set, and the energy is high...
Thoughts and prayers to sustain and to remind you
We are together with you...

Bethel Church!
She too wants to see a cure for her beloved

MS
we have u in our sight
There is strength behind us
and we are serving  notice ....
STOMP

MS has long been regarded as a life sentence of debilitating NERVE DEGENERATION, more common in females, the disease affects an estimated 2.5 million people worldwide causing physical, mental, spiritual disabilities and challenges that can gradually DESTROY one's quality of life. Some are terrified... Laura has talked to some who are terrified but later felt better after talking to her, because she is
WARRIOR.

S T O M P my friend...Laura will assure you and others that MS is indeed life altering but NOT life ending.

Laura says, "In the near future, you and your dollars can help solve this debilitating mystery! I've HAD IT WITH THIS DISEASE, AND WANT TO HELP END IT FOR EVERYONE~ TOGETHER LET'S MAKE MS PAST TENSE!" lauraroorda@yahoo.com
to send her an email of support, care to tell her you saw her with gum on her finger and chocolate in her tooth! or to find out how to send a check to kick MS in the a**

Laura's daughter Shawna is participating again in the MS 150 ride from Houston to Austin again... She's busy training, preparing, she is a devoted woman with a tireless butt and legs of steel and a heart of gold... She rides and she rides and she rides.... to find a cure for MS and her Mom... to end this NOW.

Another fan from the Lily the Black Bear page *(http://www.bear.org/) has said she will be meeting Laura this year, she will stand at the finish line and see her right when Shauna crosses the finish line too! How about that for support !!!!

My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was sixty. She's ninety-seven now, and we don't know where the hell she is.”
Ellen DeGeneres

At least: we know where Shawna is! hahaha

and we know where the BAKE SALE IS GOIN TO BE... and I think we know where we can find Laura and Ellen and we know COB IS NOW THE ZUMBA QUEEN OF THE SOUTHWEST OF VIRGINIA WHERE THE SNOW IS FALLING, as she prepares to celebrate her 29th birthday as we work the bake sale for MS...

but I think we know at least she is in Southwest Virginia somewhere...

and

we know I am in training for "telling folks how good the baked goods are" after sampling this week, and smelling... and moving my senses into overdrive now, workin' my fingers and movin my toes to music as I fire neurons now!!!

OK.. so here's a thought for your brain... isn't it interesting that we are putting into motion our emotions regarding curing MS... we are doing a BAKE SALE... i repeat BAKE SALE THIS TIME... we have been and are moving this disease away with elbow action, motion, and movement... we are getting rid of those "iron" build-ups that the good doctor says may just be in the brain and those spaghetti noodles in the brain there (metaphorically) and we are doing it all through changing our focus as Tony Robbins talks about in his seminars, his books and his thoughts which is actually changing our "state" our thoughts... and actually going to clean our minds, systems and wipe away MS... had you already put that all together before you blinked??? LOL

What a group of dancing warriors gather here I just tell ya :)

Wonder what Ellen and Oprah would be thinkin??? Bet they would be doing a "happy dance over  chairs" or maybe the two step in 3/4 time... who would dare to guess what they might be doing... maybe even reading a copy of Healing Heartaches!!! heehe

Did you know this...

ANTS DO NOT SLEEP! amazing huh?

We Know MS SUCKS/BLOWS.... but mostly that it needs to just go away... far far away from people....

and that if affects the most remarkable of gift we have... THE BRAIN.

Each of those neurons is a tiny, I mean tiny little self contained computer capable of processing ... oh let's say ... uh... one MILLION BITS OF INFORMATION~!~!~

Now those neurons act independently, but they also communicate with other little neurons through this amazing network of oh... let us say 100,000 miles of nerve fibers!

Tell me you are feeling me now~~~~~~~

on the wind perhaps???

So you see ... we have to cure this MS now folks, cos' the power of the brain is just freaking staggering and amazing and wonderful and awesome and waiting at our command to be and do all that we want it to ~ without interruption or interference from MS or ourselves... and our self limiting beliefs....

SAY YES... to you and your day.... and your awesome-ness.... S T O M P

OK OK OK... But did you know this one???

when the moon is directly over your head... you weigh slightly less! So I'm thinkin... if we take the scales outside on a full and beautiful moon and position ourselves just right... moon directly over our head... > jump on scale, take picture>

WOW, just lost weight!!! Go inside and have

Brownie with white ice cream and hot fudge > run outside repeat > take picture! YIPEE!!!

<>

The brain makes a computer look s l o w...
cos even the fastest computer can only make connections one at a time you know!

A reaction in one neuron can spread to hundreds of thousands of others in a span of less than 20 milliseconds...

ARE you ready for this???

That is ten times less than it takes for your eye to blink ~

Feelin me now? BLINK~

So my friends... as you blink today, think of ways you can help with finding a cure for MS... this neurological nightmare that we need to erase...

for Laura, for all the others out there who are fighting who are looking for a way to balance literally... STAND UP...

STOMP...

Did you know that 9 out of 10 living things live in the Ocean? FACT.

Today, police officers from across the country will join with Florida as two St Petersburg Police officers are buried, both killed, both married, both serving their communities, doing what they loved, both veterans.
Officer Tom Baitinger
Officer Jeffrey Yaslowitz

May you both now dance across the galaxies, joining so many who are now members of the thin blue line.

That day ended the lives of two St. Petersburg police officers serving a warrant this Monday and capped a violent 24 hours in which 11 police officers were shot in five states.
All serving their communities, their states...
All with families, those who loved them, now in shock, trauma, wondering why and how....

Today, we remember the fallen, we grieve you, we honor you, and we hold your families close to our hearts. We thank you for your service.

We hold your pain in our hands, your hearts in our hearts ~ We Will remember, and we join with you today

The fire is burning brightly, the sage is in the air, with thoughts on the winds of a sad and grieving Tampa Bay as we remember them.
