Look out for The Easter Bunny!

Oh my goodness... be careful out there it's time for the Easter Bunny! And for those still in the cold and snow I just don't know what that Bunny will do, so thankfully the fur will blend in well with the white stuff I guess and those eggs will stand out with all the colors and the grasses as the hunt is ON! Now we should just take a survey on those chocolate Bunnies that will fill the baskets and be on sale tomorrow in the stores that ole' Easter Bunny leaves behind. Solid chocolate or hollow? Should the ears be eaten first or the butt? So many decisions and so little time...

What of all the eggs and the creative coloring that is happening across the lands this week and today? I cannot even imagine the glee and excitement at counter tops and in kitchens!
Am i stirring any memories up as the dyes are being blended or those little mushy chirps are being eyed or eaten?

Ah yes the weekend of Easter, its origins, its significance, its wonder and its glory.

May you have a peaceful weekend, a blessed week-end, a warm I said A WARM weekend, filled with love, filled with your rituals and celebrations and with your memories.

Jump to it, it is the day before Easter, time to get your Keaster in gear and your swag on.
Have the best day ever!

Let's go... JUMP into this day with an attitude of great gratitude and thanks for everything that has ever been, all that is and all that is yet to be.

When Panic takes over the body

Stress is affecting people in big ways along with anxiety in our world. We see it manifest in business, at home, on the streets and in everyday communications face to face along with social media. We hear about it on Facebook as we watch comments and posts of how folks are doing, how they are or are not coping in day to day activities. We hear it and watch it in others played out from their exposure to the news, the media, the causes they support or passionately oppose.
Those who suffer from anxiety, those who suffer from panic attacks feel it in their body and it takes a tremendous toll. Some of the strongest and most wonderful people you will ever meet may suffer from one thing that sweeps them into panic attacks. There are those who have phobias of one type or another; we have heard of those who have phobias of spiders, of closed spaces, of social situations, of "white coats", where blood pressures sky rocket, those who fear dentists and just cannot get through the door.  Yet those same people would face anything else, could do anything else that would leave the rest of us standing amazed at their courage, their strength, their zest for life. It is hard to imagine that the same person who could stare down a 9MM and face a would be robber with nerves of steel could fall apart at the thought of a doctor or a dentist, yet it happens everyday. It is fear, it is panic. It stems from the brain and affects the body, and it drains the system during and afterward as the neurotransmitters are firing and the body is being taxed, the heart pumping, the blood pressure rising, the muscles tensing and the system being taxed with fear and the need to run present.

Rational thought is out the window during those times for the most part, as a person is in the grips of fear and panic. They try desperately to tell others that they "just can't do this", often try to tell whoever is the source of the panic, that "they just cannot hear more, do more", and need to flee what feels threatening to them.
These times of fear that trigger panic attack are indeed sudden episodes of intense fear that triggers severe physical reactions when there is no real danger or apparent cause. Many who know of someone's fear will often try in vane to "talk them out of it, to diminish it" and to ask rather stupid questions as the person who is standing in such fear is in such pain. I do believe the most stupid question I have ever heard asked as a person was in the middle of crisis has been"did something awful happen to you as a child?" With the second most stupid statement being, "just get over it and take a breath" only followed by #3 of "you are the worst one to have this phobia I have ever seen"... wow that is really helpful isn't it?
Panic attacks can be very frightening to the person experiencing them along with those who witness them. As the person who is gasping to breathe, thinking that at any moment their heart is going to explode in their chest and that will be a relief to the pain they are currently experiencing as they are being asked a myriad of stupid questions followed up by statements by often the helping professions that at this point are not making any sense as their neurotransmitters are not capable of recieving more than panic and fear.
When panic attacks occur, you might think you're losing control, having a heart attack or even dying. Many are capable of recognizing panic attacks as they are occurring as just that PANIC/FEAR yet cannot change their state at that moment, and their body is already feeling the effects of what is happening, their mind already sending the command FEAR FEAR RUN RUN, the heart is already pumping much faster than it should be and the blood pressure is as though they had climbed MT Everest.
Many people have just one or two panic attacks in their lifetimes, and the problem goes away, perhaps when a stressful situation ends. Yet those with known phobias, of doctors, dentists often know that they will go into fear mode, some cannot even go to those dental or office buildings as the smell, triggers the attack. Many have to be sedated prior to visits, some never visit dentists secondary to the fears. Others know that is the trigger and try to seek help for it, yet still are a bundle of nerves when having to confront those things or places that are triggers.  It is horrible to witness, but much worse for the person who has to live through it, as after the perceived threat is over, a person is exhausted. They report that they feel as though a bus has run havoc through their body, physically, emotionally, and find that it is similar to an adrenalin surge that leaves them weak. Phobias are horrible for people who have identified them, for those who have tried and tried to de-sensitize themselves to them and not been completely successful. Phobias and panic attacks can at times join each other in seconds; yet phobias can best be explained:

  • A feeling of uncontrollable anxiety when you're exposed to the source of your fear — sitting on an airplane, for instance, or walking into a large party
  • The feeling that you must do everything possible to avoid what you fear
  • The inability to function normally because of your anxiety
  • Often, the knowledge that your fears are unreasonable or exaggerated, but feeling powerless to control them
  • Physical as well as psychological reactions, including sweating, rapid heartbeat, difficulty breathing, a feeling of panic and intense anxiety
  • In some cases, anxiety just thinking about what you fear

It is the anxiety of "just thinking about what you fear" that astonishes some people as they cannot understand it if they have never experienced it. The person with a phobia realizes that it is often unreasonable and just doesn't make sense yet feels powerless to change it.
Sometimes working with a good therapist can help someone with phobias to overcome them no matter what they are.  Yet for many, they go it alone, or are sure to take a trusted friend with them when having to deal with a situation where triggers are found and have a voice on their behalf. Those triggers can come up in a hot second and the effects on the body, mind, heart are hard leaving a person weak afterwards just as a panic attack.
Others have what is known as recurrent, unexpected panic attacks and spent long periods in constant fear of another attack, that is a condition  called panic disorder.
Panic attacks were once dismissed as nerves or stress, but they're now recognized as a real medical condition. Although panic attacks can significantly affect your quality of life, treatment can be very effective for some.
We are living in high stress times, time where fear creates panic, and a panic cycle is hard to break.
Learning breathing exercises can help; learning to take control of you, your thoughts, your images, perceived threat and re-setting your thoughts is key to controlling you.  Finding a quiet space, finding calming thoughts, and remembering that YOU are the master/mistress of YOU.  Pay attention to your body, it will often let you know when a trigger is being activated, concentrate on your breathing and enlist support when you need it.
Repeat after me: I AM A WARRIOR... breathe) i am a warrior (BREATHE) I AM A WARRIOR
May you walk in beauty

Equality for ALL

It's really not complicated. Equality for all people. Now before the Supreme Court, now being talked about, argued about, fought about and in the streets there are protests; those for and against the right to love who you want, marry who you want, be with who you love. Same sex marriage, with the benefits and ability to place a ring on the finger of the one you love and to live in peace, harmony with the one you want. It is really not complicated. It is about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and that applies to ALL.
Justices are hearing arguments within the great walls as arguments are in the streets on social media sites, and in the news. At times one has to wonder if people have truly lost their minds in a world that has advanced so over the years... as the arguments go from one man and one woman = children who are normal and law abiding citizens and the purpose of marriage is to have children? Well if we look at that as a valid argument then we have to wonder how it is that so many children grow to make such horrible choices and many land behind bars! We also need to realize that it is those married heterosexual couples who are giving birth to gay sons and daughters who are now seeking the same benefit of marrying their partners and then can adopt the many unwanted children that we have in the world!
Seems to make perfect sense to me...

If in fact we only want heterosexual marriage to then produce offspring, why haven't we banned marriages of those who are 55+ who marry as they do not produce the little ones?
This makes no sense.

We seem to have it all messed up here. When it is about love, and marriage is not something I have ever voted on in my life, nor been asked permission by a couple for or been involved in nor have I wanted to be.
It seems that some people think that their rights and responsibilities extend into the lives and behind the doors of their neighbors... could it be that is why their own lives are in constant disarray?
People choose their clothing they choose their friends, and they choose their partners that they want to spend their lives with. They do NOT choose their sexual orientation. Who in the world would choose to be gay when one has to fight so desperately to be happy and open in a world of bigots and hatred, with others bashing and judging every move?
Really? But, if it were a choice... so what!

So as the arguments get heard, from the sane to the absurd, and even the ridiculous in the Supreme Court and the fake prophets speak and are followed like blind sheep out there... Anyone with a least bit of common sense which seems to not be so common anymore will realize that EQUALITY is for ALL, not just a select few. There have been folks that are gay since the beginning of time; and at a time were revered to be of two spirits in some cultures and were looked to for guidance, for spiritual enlightenment, and were cherished as everyone else.  We are all the Creators' children, and if lucky we grow to find someone to be loved by and to love.  That is not something anyone has the right to vote on or to weigh in on, it is personal, it is for each to decide and it is within our Creator given blessings to live our lives in hope, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Yet, until it is sanctioned, that ALL ARE EQUAL, those who want their marriages and to enjoy the full sanctity that is upheld by this decision are being shut out of what most that are married enjoy.

Imagine; your partner is in a wreck, taken to a hospital and you get the phone call and rush to the hospital. YOU are denied because your union is not recognized. You are not allowed bedside or to make those life and death decisions. Imagine; you do not get to file joint returns on your taxes Imagine you cannot get a mortgage together as your marriage is not recognized. IMAGINE you cannot sign important papers on behalf of the one who loves you or that you love when it is most important...

Freedom to love the one you love and who loves you and has your back is pretty basic when you break it down, and has nothing to do with your neighbor or their behaviors or their beliefs or their meaning system.

We are all the Creators children, all are pure and all are worthy of EQUALITY on this soil.
This is not complicated, this is quite simple, love wins.  As for the jackasses who believe in their core that only heterosexual couples can raise children; what are they saying about all the single women out there, what are they saying about all the sisters, the extended families the Grandmothers who are now finding themselves raising grandchildren as a result of the heterosexual couples who couldn't cut it?
As Ellen Degeneres stated so well, she and Portia have been married for 4 + years now and they are as happy as happy can be and they really do not think it has affected anyone, not even their neighbors as she has asked them all, and not one has been negatively affected by their marriage!

Rather than argue and take their time with their own personal bigotry and hatred, perhaps folks should tend to their own gardens, paint their own canvas, and work to restore or rebuild tenderness and kindness and common sense in our world. The Supreme Court has many more real issues to do battle with.

In this world of smart phones, smart tablets, smart devices, it sure would be nice to think we still have some smart people... who know that we are equal in a loving Creators eyes and arms that are open to hold us ALL EQUALLY.

And wouldn't ya just know, Willie Nelson has even weighed in on this.. yep the modern day prophet our Willie Nelson. Willie said this, "I'd never marry a guy I didn't like" and you can see what he has to say here:

We have budgets to balance, wounded warriors to take care of and children to teach, Elders to learn from, and others to extend kindness to.

STAND UP, I stand for equality for ALL. not some, not the privileged, but ALL.

      Walk in beauty,

please join me in prayers for our little Peyton now 1 year old who is having horrid seizures and was rushed to the hospital yesterday. His family and Fluff here are worried sick as the little one is struggling ... May he soon be well, Creator please guide physicians in finding the source of this terrible time and heal our little Peyton as you restore his health while holding this family close to you as they wait.
