From My Home to Yours This Morning

Dec 12, 2010
World-Wide Candle Lighting
7pm
Around the Globe
"Remembering The Children"
All ages, all causes,
ALL GONE TOO SOON
We will join together and together
we will
Remember those precious children
in what is known as the largest mass
candle lighting around our globe.
I will join with those in New Port Richey
here locally that evening,
and it will once again be an honor
to speak to those present
there on that sacred night of
Remembering.
for directions

So,
I ask all of you,
wherever you are,
whatever you are doing
on
December 12
in your local time zone
join with us as we light the candles
at
7:00pm
to
REMEMBER THE CHILDREN
and in doing so
we light the way
for all who have loved and lost them
All
gone to soon from this life.

Precious children,
we hold you in our hearts,
we remember
Precious children,
we are your legacies
we remember
Precious children,
We will find hope and light
where your death left us in despair and darkness
we are healing
Precious children
Let us know that you are still lighting our way
We Remember
Precious Children
WE ARE YOUR LIGHT of THE NIGHT and
our LOVE will sustain always
WE Remember
And for this,
We Give Thanks, and have hope in healing
and
So
It is!

Yesterday, in a cold and snowy Radford VA
The Radford High School BOBCATS
took the field in the
State Semi-finals
against Gate City
The final score:
Gate City 27 Bobcats 17
~ ~ ~
The Bobcats
The were in it to win it,
They are WINNERS

They gave it their all
with pride, with honor,
with heads held high.
They fought a good season
and
of course there were tears
there is heart ache
as they left the field
after shaking the hands
of their opponents.
BUT,
my beloved Godson D'Vante
#51 and team Bobcats
YOU ARE COLLECTIVELY
WINNERS, led by a coach who is
proud as is your community.
So
let that be your truth,
STAND UP
with the pride, integrity, honor
of
the BOBCAT!
As for ME?
I have never been more proud of my Godson.
He played with all he had, he had texted me at
11:20 am
he had told me he was
"playin this one for me and that he loved me"
and he played as the fearless athelete
that he is, with focus, determination, honor.
Yes, he was bent at the end,
but
NEVER will he be broken.
Sad were he and his team yes,
BUT
he is a Warrior
of
strength, honor, faith, PRIDE of the BOBCAT
my boy played his heart out on that field
along with the others.
I have never been more proud.
Now they need to rest, restore, renew.
Seniors, celebrate your year, prepare for graduation
and
New Beginings!
I thank you for an exciting Bobcat year!
Great JOB coach, take care of your boys
and
those who are not graduating this year,

Its' Saturday, and Its' A Day of FOCUS for Some!

Godson
#51 The Beast
Radford BOBCATS
take the field today
in the "Play-Offs"
"See that focus"

Good chilly Saturday Morning this morning!
The 4-leggeds feel the crisp in the air,
NASCAR is happening around the pool
with barks resounding as they take it a bit too close
to the edge!
Gypsy is the winner this morning
as she dances with her stuffed animal in her mouth
doing a
circle of victory!

FOCUS
Positive Energy
That is the thought of this day
to those who are out there with a plan,
working their plan!
Notice the energy out there this week?
It has been quite amazing, on the wireless connections,
on the streets, in the stores, in conversations...
The dark months
and the end of year is affecting folks.
As are the choices being made.

It is the holidays, they are right here on us.
Shoppers with glassy eyes, retailers with high hopes, sissy 2wolves out there in SD making one of a kind jewelry and leather goods for folks like a maniac filling those special orders (be sure and visit her site and get your orders in for the holidays) http://www.2wolves.com/
folks getting ready to see, fall in love and buy the home of their wants and dreams, while others get ready to believe and do magical things!
Christmas decorations beginning to light the night,
North American Black Bears denning with snow covered dens out in MN, http://www.bear.org/
and snow is in the air and on the grounds
in so many places already!
It's the MOST magical time of the year!
Today in Radford VA when Godson D'Vante takes to the field with the Bobcats to prowl once again,
the weather will be in the low 30's and it is suppose to snow! The family will be layered up, as will the community filling the bleachers, huddled together as they watch and yell and holler for those boys.
Most will freeze their butts and loose their voices,
but
D'Vante is embracing the notion a football game of this magnitude in the snow!
Only as Bobcats could get it done
with FOCUS, PASSION
and
DESIRE. I already have my Bobcat shirt on, I am ready!

What's on the plan for you out there today?
Denning in or going out to play with passion,
focus, kindness, compassion today?
Perhaps with the intention of
paying it forward
and
smiling just to get folks wondering
what you are up to?

SEE IT BELIEVE IT RECEIVE IT
with focus.
Ask for what you want, what you need.
Ask it with passion, desire and urgency, clean hands and straight eyes...

I just love this quote,
"Asking is the beginning of receiving. Make sure you don't go to the ocean with a teaspoon. At least take a bucket so the kids won't laugh at you." Jim Rohn

Wherever you are, whatever you are doing,
Choose to do it with all you have today!

Send a powerful and winning thought to
D'Vante #51 today for those BoBcats
as they take the field in the snowing home field of Radford VA and prowl on today!
GOOOO BOBCATS, Godmother is rooting for you and wearing your colors!

Just Maybe the cold weather and the change to the dark months are gettin to people

Sometimes
I think
the cold weather
and
the
Dark Months
make
folks just plain
crazy

Good and crisp Friday morning here in The
Sunshine State it is.
Coffee about the only thing hot so far,
but with the way folks are acting these days
I'm sure it will heat up soon.

ahhh,
here comes that sun, low and beautiful through the trees
and Spanish Moss right at me,
welcome old friend
SHINE ON

Great news, today is Friday
and folks do
so
love Friday!

Godson D'Vante is hitting the field for practice
with team Bobcats for that big play-off in Radford
tomorrow ~ The Stakes are high, the passion
and focus are intense.
~
Out in Ely MN the North American Bears are sleeping while Dr Rogers Sue and helpers are installing not one
but
two live den cams
that will allow fans from across the world to watch
24/7
each breath, each movement while hoping for
cubs in January
"heaven help us as those hopes and passions and enthusiasms mix with human emotions on the Lily fan page"

to see the live cam and for updates, education and information on the North American Black Bears.

Here,
I will be speaking at
Tiffanys in Palm Harbor
Monday Dec 6 at 6:30 on
"Weathering the Holidays in the Winter of Grief"
and
doing a book signing
Many will dine at Tiffanys before where the service is great, the food is awesome and the community shows out day in and out to visit Paul HIttos and his staff.

Meanwhile,
the dark months and cold weather are playing with the emotions and chronic pain of many,
our soldiers are staying up 24/7 living in deplorable conditions, fighting for our freedoms.
While here at home,
some are griping and fighting with others, and
showing their behinds over ridiculous things just because they can.
And I can't help but wonder, why invest time on such
pettiness when there are real issues out there
to take a stand for.

There are people with no family, yet families fight within their own.
There are people who love and believe in the same cause, the same outcome, yet gripe to hear their and see their own words in print.
There are people who try to get drivers license's renewed; who take volumes of paperwork to demonstrate who they are, who know who they are, who stand in lines and are polite,
but are told
it is not good enough
and
I have to wonder
is there state a part of the United States?
Or is the fact that they are Indian
a reason for this?
Has Custer risen in some of these issues above to make
yet one last stand once again
with ugliness here?
Have folks forgotten
Creator does not like Ugly?

it is Friday,
many will awaken
rush to it and out the door,
many will not take the time to remember
yesterday and the impact that they may have left
on others last night or yesterday.
BUT
you can believe that those on the receiving end
of unkind words or actions will remember.
Creator will remember.

Is there a full moon that I have not noticed yet?
Or
Is it the dark months, the new month, the cold?
OR
is it that people have forgotten
to treat others with the same respect and dignity that they would like to be treated?

I wish YOU the best day of your life today.
I wish you enough.
SMILE
Laugh out loud today,
Pay it forward just because you can.
We are blessed, truly blessed to see the sun rise today
to breathe the cold air today.

The fire is burning here, with embers that are hot. The sage is fired up, and on the wind.
Thoughts to all as you walk in to your weekend,
Walk In Beauty
with compassion and kindness

Believe

Ya Gotta Start Somewhere

Good morning!
The news last night said:
THE COLD CHILL HAS HIT
FLORDIA

This morning the coffee is hot
and
FLORIDA IS COLD!
Guess they got it right as I sit here bundled up
and think,
not so bad I guess
since those Black Bears in Ely MN have their dens
covered in snow,
there's about 2 feet of snow out there in SD where
Kelly 2Wolves is busy creating all those
one of a kind great things for folks ordering
at
and
out in Colorado I hear that they have a
winter-wonderland and 24 degrees~

Think I'll just stay right where I am
and stay bundled up
with my attitude of gratitude
yep
I'll just say right here
and
BELIEVE
that this sun will come out and warm it up!

Kamryn too to the court last night for basketball
and
oh how he took to the court.
Scoring
14 points he did!
"That's what I'm talking about baby"
YOU have to BELIEVE.

You have to
Believe
YOU have to have a winning attitude,
Laugh out loud
Focus,
Want it,
See IT BELIEVE IT RECEIVE IT
and
Have fun with it.

The family got so pumped up watching that game,
Mom knocked her arm into the bleachers.. bet she will have one fine bruise today!
Talk about
"gettin in to it", they did!
Notice those long and powerful hands on that kid?
He's been with a basketball in his hand since he could hold a bottle... loves it he does, and how many times we've watched Michael Jordon, I cannot count.
The Next Michael Jordon in the making,
the passion, the love, the desire of the game.
To believe,
that their will be success; their will be losses, disappointments, he and we all are still learning.
The lesson:
There will be falls; they are but reminders of the next great high, the next success, the next mountain top.
On Kamryn's birthday the following was put on this page by #23:  I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.Michael Jordon

I believe we could all benefit from that statement in life, I know that
I believe it to be true.

I
BELIEVE
"If you accept the expectations of others, especially negative ones, then you never will change the outcome." Michael Jordan

The fire is burning brightly, the prayers have been offered on the embers to the winds.
To all who gather here and all in the prayer bowl, you are in my thoughts, my prayers to day and all days.

December 01, 2010 ~ World AIDS Day

The
AIDS Quilt
Washington DC
"Back In The Day'

Good morning
it is
December 01, 2010
World AIDS Day

As I sit here and greet the morning while it is still dark, I am reflecting on all the many many years... and many it has been
since the days when those words were first uttered.
HIV/AIDS.
We've come a long way,
a really really long way since then
with so many lives lost.
The rain is coming down, the crisp is in the air this morning.
I had a tremendous high yesterday, above the sun I believe, only to end the day with a fall of rapid speed to hit the ground so hard that my brain is still recovering.
There are times that integrity comes at a high price.
Integrity and honor still win in my book though.
Happy first day of December.
Storms never last, thunder and lightning beings
play in the sky under the watchful eyes of
the Creator.

Rainbows after the storms of life
heartaches of rejections, of fears, of loneliness
and times of despair
along with
HOPE/FAITH/REFLECTION/TENDERNESS
healing and friendships that sustained
when families turned their backs.
The quilt
that magnificent quilt, the squares each unique
as the individual they were made for.
Each with a story as rich as the fabric
handled as though a precious diamond,
laid with care by volunteers who worked round the clock
there between the Capital and
The Washington monument.
When President Clinton showed up
we all cried, we watched, we saw his tears
his acknowledgement.
I worked security for that entire weekend
with so many I have forgotten their names.
Each day about 1200 volunteers worked hand in hand
unfolding with precision, with honor, with pride,
walking the ground, being support, security, manning all, doing as much as possible for as many as possible, taking press up in cherry pickers for photos.
Getting the word out that this Memorial Quilt was
the human faces of AIDS.
Taking "back the night" as folks took to the street in a rally with candles lit.
We stood together,we wept together,
we laughed, we prayed.
We stood like warriors
protecting those quilts
and offering kindness and arms and Kleenex
to those that came, and they came, and came,
and stayed.

and we remembered.
That was the year I learned how to operate a
Cherry Picker (did I mention I do not like heights)
Rainbows in the middle of a sea of tears,
parents wishing they had not turned their backs
on
their children
gazed upon the squares and talked about
their stories
their memories
Lovers united with friends as they recalled
the drug trials, the good times,
the sad and final times.
The military, the bikers, the women, friends, families, those of color, different faiths, tradtitons, cultures,
Native Americans in regalia,
the children mourning and remembering
their parents, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters.
Each panel a work of art, a tribute a work of love.
A person who had died of
HIV/AIDS
They read the names
Celebrities came
Elizabeth Taylor was there.
I got to meet her!
I even got a kiss right on the lips from her as she held that little white dog... if I remember it right, she had that dog give me a smooch on the cheek too!
I stood to the right of President Clinton, holding back the crowds who wanted to shake his hand, and secret service were everywhere... Mrs Clinton was there right beside him, she was moved as was he.

25 million +  have died world wide of AIDS.

Africa has more than14 million + AIDS babies who are AIDS orphans.

At the end of 2008 women made up for 50%  + of all AIDS cases.

WE have much work yet to do...

WE have come a long long way since the early days of this devastating disease, that once was hidden from sight, one that folks didn't say out loud for fear of rejection.

WE must continue to "educate", to love one another without judgment and opinion...

To continue to stand up as the grande dame Elizabeth Taylor always has... For it is in the standing that others will rise.

May you walk today and remember them, those who have their legacies... those whose names were read on AIDS day and those in the hearts of so many so often.

We Remember them.

Walk In Beauty,
