Just Imagine this!

A lake in
Germany
and
"The Mermaid"
that is there to watch over you!

Thought I would laugh myself silly wondering what this fellow in the kayak was thinking as he paddled by her!
Now that Lake does have some style don't you think?
Lake Aster, Germany
I cannot imagine visiting there on a lovely evening;
taking a stroll and gazing out over the lake...
And then...
Seeing the
MERMAID
just "kicked back and enjoying the view she is"
because it would probably be at that very moment
people would hear the
"kerplunk" of
Dr Showalter as I fell in!
Isn't that a remarkable sculpture?
As if whispering>>> "who loves ya baby, and watch the foot below will ya"!!!

Ah,
I'm thinking I should ask
Tarpon Springs to find a sculptur
to create something so wonderful
at Lake Tarpon!
It would soothe;
amuse
and just tickle folks
as they got out there on the water
unsuspecting
and
then were greeted by
such a sight to behold!
She is indeed lovely I'm thinking.

It is a lovely morning here,
as I got word that one of the friends we have held up in the prayer bowl is goin under the knife to have his tonsils removed today; after being told those tonsils were holding the possiblity of Cancer.
The fear that filled the hearts of the family
and the ability to hold ones' breath through this time
is rather remarkable while the thoughts of what might be
course through the veins.
They will remove the tonsils
and
he will not rest until he hears whether or not
this is the source of whatever is going on
and
reflected Cancer cells on a PET scan.
He will then utilize all the magic arts he can muster through resources to get another opinion and
to find his way
to a leading cancer center;
I now have learned by traveling on a plane with a brilliant woman
that
Detroit Medical Center
is the place to go if you live in Michigan!
Isn't it amazing how the Creator puts one where they need to be to access information and support for others in need of that information?
Meanwhile,
I will ask all to hold Rod up today,
and
his family as he goes through surgery
and
together we will send energy for a good resolve
and
hope in healing ways for him and strength for his family who waits.
Perhaps Rod will discover
that had he had those tonsils out as a kid
he would have had all the popcicles he could stand while freezing his tongue and brain back then,
but
now
perhaps his wife will cover him with love
ICE CREAM and popcicles
and
he will just have a party of colors like rainbows in his nervous system
while we pray for a wonderful outcome
he will re-visit the world of
popcicles and ice cream as he soothes his throat
and
his spirits.
Let's all show him some love
and
have
BANANA SPLITS FOR DINNER TONIGHT!!!
Pick me
I love
an ole fashioned banana split
and will eat one for
Rod
while he sucks on popcicle!

Blessings and all the best Warrior Rod,
we're here for you dear one.

Perhaps the visual of the mermaid
will bring a smile to their faces
and
will give hope in healing
while changing the focus
and giving respite
to the minds
of everyone who is fighting battles or issues
of stress or hurtful words or actions
today.
Just sit back, and imagine...
Being a stranger at Lake Aster,
enjoying the sights, sounds, smells
and allow yourself to enjoy it all for the moment.
And then you see her!
THE MERMAID
is just layin back in the middle of the lake,
beckoning you to join and to swim, to boat,
to relax!
AND TO BREATHE...
How often we take for granted that wonderful thing that gives us life; our breath and ability to breathe in deeply
and exhale our fears and worries,
while regaining control of our moments
through
"self regulation and choice"
of our next thoughts and steps we make!

So friends,
for this moment,
take a look at the lady in the lake,
WHAT THE HECK...
stretch your imagine
Be The Mermaid!
Just lay back and take a couple of breaths today;
imagine the water, and know that you are all that you need to be
to razzle others with your dazzle
and
to star in your own show
"it is your moment"
It is your day!
Choose wisely,
breathe deeply
and remember the sage words
of
Winnie the POOOOOH:

"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. i'll always be with you.”

EE in Colorado is traveling for a long overdue appt. to see a cardiologist today, (thanks to the incompetence of the social worker out there who has just about killed her with taking away her benefits, taking away her abilities to get out and about by not repairing her jazzy 1750 scooter with the broken arm on it so that she can be mobile. She now has her benefits reinstated only because she was a warrior and insisted on a hearing and only then a
JUDGE HAD TO ORDER THIS WOMAN TO RE-INSTATE her benefits)

You must advocate for yourself people,
cos' some of those professionals out there can do harm;
not all are the fabulous folks I have met along the journey...

Prayers goin UP for our
warrior EE today, may she now get the care she needs to restore her health...

The fire is burning and the sage is lit, with hope in healing ways to all who enter here.

Here we Go: Customer Service Week!

Monday Morning
BEAUTY

Time to dance into your Monday
like our warrior
Joey Graff!
 I just don't think I'll ever see a Monday
that I don't imagine visualizing
the excitement of Joey Graff
telling me of his excitement of looking forward
to Monday's, and how he used to
"jump on desks at work"
and his thrill of starting off a brand new week
of possibilities!

So are you ready?

LEFT

Left, Right Left!
That's it,
dancing into Monday
with
that attitude of gratitude
for all that is to come!
Kick your heels friends,
it's yours to determine how you jump into it
so
just like my pal Joey,
Dance on!

Might as well "kick it off with a dance"
as we start with that lovely
Michigan Hibiscus that was a big as a dinner plate just tucked away among plants that I discovered on a walk.
I had to stop and admire it,
beautiful and HUGE
that it was.
Here we are in the middle of August
so let's go now.

Left< Left< Left RIGHT LEFT
dancin into our week!

I'm kickin the week off with a few words of
CUSTOMER SERVICE
as most know
I am big on
"kindness and believing what folks tout as their promise or their words"
and
in these days and times
we have choices
and
we are after all consumers.
The word of one, can and will affect the business that folks are doing out there,
and
so, I think we need to stand UP
be counted
and
STOMP.

FIRST AND FOREMOST
I am just tickled to life that our warrior here
FIRM/EYESCREAM aka Irene
found our warrior Chris!
Chris has been a long time warrior of this page;
and she is well and she is here, just quietly here after her computer was "hacked" it appears she is fearful of commenting here for the idea of being hacked again!
Chris welcome back, and just so you know,
I cannot imagine that commenting or visiting here will get your computer infected or hacked in...
BUT
we are delighted to know you are with us,
and
want you to know
many have asked about you,
and all think of you always.
Chris is a BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR
one who looked Cancer in the eye
and told Breast Cancer,
"you suck and I am going to fight you head on".
she has always had the loving support and kindness of others here and after a double mastectomy has beaten Cancer down.
Dear Chris, We continue to hold you up!
><

I hope many saw yesterday's Sunday
Prayer Bowl Blog thoughts.
The list of names continues to grow as we are growing here, and those who want to be included certainly are. The energy of others is there, always and this is your page.
Much more than a "blog"
but a page of
gentle warriors who are coming together with a remarkable energy of thoughts, prayers and the desire to step out of self and into each other at times of need and times of care.
><

Today I will share a story of
customer service
or lack thereof.
This last trip I used
AVIS CAR RENTAL
in Michigan.
I picked up a sweet red Mercury SUV that was assigned to me
in Traverse City
and was informed I needed to have it returned to Lansing by 0600 on Friday at the airport.
I filled the car with gas, and was there at 545 just to be on the safe side; parked the car,
found my pen and recorded the mileage, the number of the place I parked it, and
then got my luggage together and made my way into the airport and to the counter.
I stood for 15 or so minutes at an empty counter before realizing that there was a box with instructions for these early returns...
And through my bleary eyes read that
if the counter was empty to just
leave the keys and documents
in the "slot".
Of course it did NOT say where to leave the
GPS unit.
So as I searched for the mysterious slot, I soon realized that the slot was "TAPED SHUT".
Now it was well after 6am
and a bit of a stressful feeling was setting in,
and I noticed that it also said
if "we are closed please visit the BUDGET counter, which I did (three closed counters down), and the sign said,
"If we are closed please visit AVIS".
Once back at Avis,
I then called the 800 number and after two transfers and the time clicking away,
I spoke with a man who then had to transfer my call, before reaching a representative who informed me to put the keys and document in the box slot on the counter!!
I told him my tale of woe, that indeed the slot was taped SHUT...
and if it was open there was no place for the
GPS system.
I also reminded him I had yet to check through security and after all had a flight that I was there to get ON?
><
He then told me this:
"Oh I understand so just leave the keys and document on the counter. (are you kidding me).
I asked : "shall I also leave the GPS on the counter as well sir?"
He said, "Not unless you would like to be responsible for it!!!"
><
I then reminded him that I was told to have this car back by six o'clock in the morning and it was now six twenty and we were on the phone and no agent was available.
He said, "I would suggest that you take the GPS back to the car you rented, lock it in the car, return to the airport counter, AND THEN leave the keys and documents on the counter. Is there anything else I can help you with?"
ARE YOU KIDDING ME AVIS?
Really?
No where in your contract or rental pick up did you tell me of any of this... Had you told me of this, I would have left your GPS in the car in the beginning, had dropped your keys, documents (how will I get my receipt) and been through security and at my gate already I might just happily add.
><
But ohhh no, now you are telling me of this inconvienience as if you are telling me the weather in Lansing?

AVIS you are not making this easy for your folks who chose you of the many car rental choices that are out there in rental land...

I have yet to receive my e-receipt, I did however make it through security, and to my gate, after returning to the lot; locking up the GPS, returning to the airport, the closed and taped up box that instructs you to drop off the keys and the documents at the closed counter of the AVIS car rental counter.
I was not however the most of the satisfied nor happy at that hour on that particular day.
And had anyone wanted to give me a years worth of Avis rentals free, I would have happily declined I'm thinkin!
I have now managed to let readers across the globe know that
AVIS is not what one would call
"tops in customer service"
so

I ask you here...
Would it not be better to let folks know truthfully the expectations in the front part of the deal, in order not to frustrate them
as they leave a car off in their attempts to start their day and then to make a flight?
><

Just sayin, being a "preferred customer" of AVIS
may just not be all that it is cracked up to be
I'm thinkin.
Next trip,
Enterprise is lookin real good to me right now.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
RADISSON HOTEL, Lansing MI
My favorite parts/people:
Valet Jason, >>> think he should go for manager of the desk, he was personable, all about the customers, pleasant, courteous, professional.
Never saw the General Manager, or if I did they did NOT introduce themselves!
Bartender MIKE >> Kind, personable, friendly, full of promise and future Michigan State student; and all about customer satisfaction. Wanted to know if the food was cooked properly, if you liked it or wanted something else. Was appalled when he learned that the room service tray from two days before continued to sit outside my door on the floor! (as was I)
Waiter: a delighful young man (I forgot his name though) with a smile and a desire to keep his customers happy and be sure that all was well.

This Radisson sat two blocks from the Capital building, charged 14.00 a day for valet parking, was well appointed in their lobby,
yet there was very little in the way of hotel staff interactions or "friendliness".

What's up with that?

Customer Service
Brighthouse Networks
I have had Brighthouse for my phone, internet, and cable television since moving to Florida.
Last night my cable was not working, and after a lengthy phone call realized on the phone I am paying outrageous bills.
While on the phone, they could NOT fix my t.v. by phone and had to schedule a "real live person to arrive today between 10 and noon". Should be interesting. So while on the phone, I canceled the movie channel I had to conserve money and then realized that my bill was still what I consider a lot of money. I informed the young woman that Verizon is trying to get my business and had recently offered me a substantial savings that would include a premium movie channel and 5 DVR boxes for 109.00
and then asked if Brighthouse could compete with that to keep a loyal customer!
She of course said no,
BUT
was able to lower my bill with the basic service I now have, by 30.00 at the end of the conversation, only because they are running a
"promotion"?
So in other words, had I not spent 40 minutes on the phone since the TV was out, and brought up the competition, I would not have saved this 30.00 in my bill?
I cannot understand that... still can't understand that.
Will probably soon become a Verizon FIOS customer I'm thinking.

so the moral of the story, is this:
call your cable company and see if they have a promotion going that will in fact lower your montly bill and then ask if you can take advantage of it!
YOU may save yourself some money in the process if you can stand to have the conversation and become rather confused by it all!!!\

COB is doing great after her surgery, she is off those pain pills now, and feeling much better. She thanks all for the prayers and thoughts, and ready now to return to her life full throttle and with much more vim and vigor!
><
Sandy and Stuart returned from NC and a respite with their grandkids and now last night was the first night they both have stayed in their home last night. It was empty nest syndrome here... as we adjust to the fact that it seems they have now moved back to their own digs...
Sandy wants all to know of their appreciation and thanks for the ongoing support and care... they continue to work to restore their home and their spirits in all ways.

The fire is burning and the sage is lit, with thoughts on the wind to all today and always.

Sunday, Just take your time today...

Wishin
YOU
a delicious day... just turn that spout gently,
look at those lovely lemons/limes of life;
know that YOU are the sweetest addition you will have to make to this gift
and
ENJOY, slowly
this is a day that is YOURS.

The sun is shining here,
I had the most wonderful and refreshing sleep
and
the greatest of dreams
and
now am relaxed and refreshed.

I enjoyed all the comments of yesterday,
as
I always enjoy all the comments of each day!

The Cardinal has greeted me
and
said its hello in the tree beside me here
reminding me of the beauty that
surrounds us.

LIFE IS GOOD TODAY.

And on this day,
it is important to know
we are entering all in the prayer bowl here,
the ceremony will begin shortly of
hope in healing, in sending strength to all who have asked,
in reminding you that you have all that you need
to be more for yourself and for those you love.

Remember to breathe, know that you are never alone, hold tight to the fact that we are never stronger than when we are asking for help from others.

today we have many who are walking a difficult road,
new warriors are here, asking that we join in prayer, in strength and that we hold them up in times of fear and uncertaintity...
In times of new diagnosis of Cancer, in times of trying to figure out what to do next, which path to take
and
feeling overwhelmed.

Please know this; and try to remember as you bring this thought to the frontal lobe of your magnificent brain:

the Universal Onesness of the Creator that lives within you is there, always there, to love you and guide you unfailing and  strong,
and will always be with you,
YOU only need to be still to feel the presence of that which is greater than all of us
to
know that we are never alone,
that together we will hold you up
we will lift you on the back of an Eagles' wings
giving you courage to step into territory unknown
and into your own strength and healing ways.

At times it is sometimes dark and scary
and
sometimes it is time
to reach out your hand to others,
many here are "those others"
who have walked the walk and can talk the talk,
often knowing of resources and ways
that astound others
along the way.
this is a sacred page of
warriors here,
many are cancer survivors, many are professionals who
know how to access information
or places to go for the best
and
will tell you do not settle
for anything less
or
for only one opinion.

I will say this:
"you are your most precious resource, take
best care of you, and
BREATHE"

HOld on to this day, enjoy each breath, each moment, each experience.
Savor it, as we only have this day.

the sage is lit, the prayers are going up and filling the air,
for all who enter here

Know that there are some powerful warriors on this page and in the next place along with some Powerful angels ~ and together we have banded together with the energy, love and support to facilitate healing and hope for so many along their journey...
I met three women facing Breast Cancer
on this trip... we spoke, they shared tears and thoughts.
they reminded me of
many I have had as friends and clients and I shared with them some of the gifts I have received by warriors here
in the stories...
then I reminded them of a quote by
Maya Angelou that many of you if not all of you
might just want to write down and put on your mirror
to remind yourself of
while breathing today whether you are woman or man:

"I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. You've got to go out and kick ass."
Maya Angelou

and for that I hope you feel great connection in times of sorrow, confusion, isolation, and happiness; knowing we are all connected in the great circle of life~
Whatever it is,
get out there and find what you need to fight it,
to stare life in the face
and to
know
YOu are a warrior.
breathe friends,
YOU MUST REMEMBER TO BREATHE
The fire is burning brightly, the embers are hot and the sage is drifting into the air, with prayers being sent to all in the prayer bowl and many who are not. You know who you are and you are being thought of ...
That is the HOPE in Healing Heartaches ~
