Compassionate Friends WORLDWIDE CandleLighting

Across the world people will gather; some will join in community centers, some in faith communities; some with pot lucks, music, a speaker, poems, some with a slide show of the children who have died. All ages, all causes, all "gone too soon" will flash across a screen as people sit watching for a glimpse of "theirs" and feel the strongest of the strong empathy for those sitting with around them. 

At 7pm the energy will be different, the candles will be lit as people walk forward to light their candle from the one lit before . In hope, in remembrance, in honor, in faith as they say the names of those children... their child "gone too soon". 

So that their light shines on shines brighter on this annual night of remembrance people will gather, they will join together on this second Sunday of December around the globe.  

With each gathering, I pray that those there holding that candle are able to feel the ongoing love, the living spirit of those children. As the light burns so that their light burns brighter, I pray that the holder, the connection will allow the person here to feel that flame within in order to be more than they were when they walked through the doors. More than they were before they lit that candle at home, more than they thought possible before this night happens.

Our children now dance in the heavens, they dance with Creator in a place where there is no pain, no harm that can come to them. They are always within the heart that beats here, only a whisper away from those who walk in the doors of Compassionate Friends chapters across the world tonight... Say their names and rejoice in the flame that will burn brightly. Take it within you so that your flame burns brighter than you ever imagined possible as you give yourselves permission to know joy differently than ever before in embracing life in all its splendor. Some will gather in their own homes this evening... they will stop regular activities, perhaps having their own support systems those that have been there through the worst times of their lives to join, at 7pm all will light their candles together, say the name, maybe even walk outside, remembering, holding each other UP as they feel the Universal Energy of all ALL the children, all the ones who have walked this path now learning to walk differently than ever before. It takes great courage, hard work, and it takes time while knowing there is a heart that still beats strong within along with a flame ... tonight those flames will be burning brightly with messages from our kids. LIsten well I hope all are open to receive...
