Good morning world!

IT IS FRIDAY,

but somehow it just feels right to leave the lessons here for another day;

FALL IS IN THE AIR

and

what a glorious day

is kicking off this weekend;

up in VA

godson DVante is getting ready with his

BOBCATS

for a big night of

"Friday Night Lights"

and

BOBCAT FOOTBALL

Good Luck Bobcats!

Many around the world are

"glued to t.v.'s"

watching the Michael Jackson trial

and

I just pray that those children do

NOT

get drug through the proceedings

as

they try and hold

a physician accountable

for

prescribing a lethal dose of a medicine

to

the

King of POP...

For no matter your thoughts/feelings

or

"opinions"

Michael was a brilliant entertainer

and

to watch him?

oh my...

Again

another time of

Lessons/Opinions

but

I sure do hope

they leave the children out of it.

So for today;

I am choosing to leave the

"Lessons of HOPE"

I have read the updates

tried to get my head around the now thoughts of

a memorial to

HOPE

with the waterfalls being built out there

in

Ely MN at the bear center;

the "off the cuff" beginnings of the plague

that would say

words that left spaces for the

"largest donors"

before hitting "all the fans"

in thanks...

I guess it's the proverbial he who gives the most gets their names in the lights

who knows...

The anger and rage seems to be waning

and the grief continues to be papable

as

some continue to talk about the

death

and

others still want the hunter named.

On one site

it now says

the

"shooter has been named"

and

another wants a memorial t-shirt

saying

HOPE was murdered and then says

she has never known anyone murdered before.

I HOPE she doesn't express that to anyone who is the wife/father/sister/lover

of one who has been murdered

as she seeks solace or comfort

or comparison

in her pain of loss.

Lessons of

HOPE

Many are comparing the wild bears to their children;

have asked the moderators

Linda, Jill, Sue Mansfield to provide comfort

and

grief counsel.

They are not experts in this area;

they suggested the fans begin a discussion page; a thread of grief so to speak.

Other sights have said they are reporting all of these things to those who can examine whether or not we have a "cult" of sorts going on

and

I do believe the debt of the bear center is now erased.

LESSONS OF HOPE

and I thank you all for your comments

and

I send prayers for those who are in pain, those who are walkig

It's a lovely fall morning here this morning

and

I've just finished reading the many many comments from yesterdays' thoughts,

having coffee

and

absorbing the first of the day....

I HOPE that folks are beginning to settle with the news; the reality of the

beautiful Black Bear

HOPE

and to allow the many Lessons of her life

to now settle in to their own world

around the world

as they move into their day.

I spent a long and beautiful time with

sissy by phone last evening

is a woman who is of great spirit,

marvelous insight

and

a gifted artisan.

I recall talking with her last year

and

telling her about the auctions on the

Lily the Black Bear page

being held there.

I remember and we talked about when the

collared research bear Sara was shot and killed.

TwoWolves painted a most remarkable

feather for the folks

there

to use for their auctions

and

oh what an auction it was!

Folks were bidding and the comments at times were so funny.

Monies were raised to

"erase the debt" of the center

and

the goodwill of folks as they eased their pain of loss seemed to also be helped.

Of course all that has now changed

they have gone "over the top"

today

they are asking for folks

to set up a

HOPE FOUNDATION

they are now wanting folks to

"dig deeper" to give more;

it seems they are

"playing on grief now"...

IT IS OUT OF CONTROL NOW.

the veiled threats, the not so veiled threats,

the sympathy, the untruths

it is rather frighte

HOPE's birth on that live web cam

seemed to bring folks together all across the globe

it was truly magnificent

along with dispelling myths of

the

North American Black Bears.

Folks replaced fears with facts

about

bears.

But then again I think perhaps that the whole thing just got out of hand;

and

rather than hire professionals to handle it as it grew,

it just grew and it grew

and

it got so far ahead of those there

that

...

Well it doesn't really matter what one more opinion at this point thinks

but

I remember when my sissy

did the piece above

and

was going to sell it and donate a percentage to the center.

BUT

then Sue Mansfield got her self all wadded up and declared that she could not do that

because the orignial photograph

"belonged to the center"

but

that was not really true

since

photographs

once posted on a public page

unless having a copyright tagged to them are in fact "public domain"

(as I see my photos all over the internet these days"...

HOwever

once an artist uses a photograph and then

CREATES

a piece of art with their own spin

it is "theirs" by design

as

you can see

the design above is a

"one of a kind"

to be certain!

So sissy TwoWolves

decided that she would just

"donate"

HOPE

for the center for an auction

and

let them have a ball!

AND

what a grand time was had as they bid on it

and

it fetched a lovely price tag

for the winner to enjoy

and

HOPE

lives on now

somewhere

but for the life of me I can't remember

who or where!

Who would have ever thought it;

now a tribute to

HOPE

we have yet learned so many lessons

as

Sissy and I talked about last night.

We watched; actually watched a live bear be born without

HUMAN interferrence in the woods;

we heard and witnessed the cries

that sounded like a real life baby!

We have learned that

nature vs. nurture is alive

and thrivinig in the woods

and

that they rough and tumble

and sometimes during that they can harm, maim and kill their brothers in play

but

they don't mean to.

We've seen them separate and find their way back (mother and cub) and recognize each other, and rejoice as bears or I suppose others in the wild would; not so unlike humans in that way I guess.

AND

we once again are reminded

if you throw a stone into a still body of water

the ripple effects will just astound you

if you stand at the edge and watch.

WE ARE SEEING THOSE EFFECTS NOW

but

They may turn to a tsunami of human

emotional crisis before it's over.

wE have watched a wonderful gift

one that seems to have started out

with great intent

and then become swept up in

adorations, emotional upheaval,

and

fame

in a little town that is probably wondering

where did all these people and money come from.

Why are my children that are in the first grade crying and talking about death?

That pepple has sure made a ripple of effect

in hearing across the world

that people

are

not sleeping, not eating, wanting folks to choke, to have karma imposed in bad ways

to have to walk away for fear of what may come next...

We are open now to the many lessons

of

the 4 leggeds indeed.

Folks have found this safe place of warriors here; those of gentle spirit

and

they have talked in great detail the last few days.

Most have talked candidly and for fear of being known they can't say their names,

and

others have decided to say

things about ole "drses"

but

it's alright with me.

As you know

I roll with some powerful folks here,

and

they won't tolerate that!

LOL

And

I won't mind if they speak their mind to anyone

cos'

after all they are powerful warriors

who

STOMP.

HOPE is a wonderful thing

and

was a tenacious little bear from the beginning.

As TwoWolves and I spoke last evening,

we lit our tobacco and sage together

we had our council

and

arm in arm we agreed on many things

and

I would like to share with you those things today

From talking with TwoWolves last night; here's mostly what she had to say about the lessons ... 

To try to bring some understanding, NO ONE could have forseen the huge effect these black bears would have on the world.On the people watching the feeds and the basic "Cult" following that grew.

It is a modern day miracle. Who among us would have handeled it better?? I don't think I would have wanted the Job!

Has the page and even the WRI been mishandled? Probably,

Could they have hired a professional agent and counselor/Advisor/Therapists; to better handle things yes , but they didn't know ! None knew this was going to turn the way it did, that hundereds of thousands of people would ATTACH alllll their emotions to these Bears.(THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY!)

It was not their intention to start a CULT following.(by the way you all know this one... the road to hell is paved by good intentions) They started off just looking for support, Like all the rest of us here on FB and the Web. Have things turn ugly yes some, after the outcrys last year when Sara was shot , they should have had forsight given how attached people were to Hope and Lily. But they are not counselors, therpists/they are not equipped.

For the fallout;

In my eyes all of this is a Great Lesson for all of us in Human Nature.

WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY

And I am Happy not to have been in the positon to try to govern this.

Personally speaking I would probably screwed it up worse.

It is sad she is gone, But let us not forget that had nature had its way Hope would surley have died shortly after being born , had it not been for the intervention of Lynn. Her story was , is and will continue to be an inspiration for change, Hope and education.

Her short life has touched sooo many lives all across the world. This is the Blessing Of Hope! What an amazing life she lived, what an amazing teacher she will continue to be. Life is not always pretty but how we choose to interact and learn from it is what makes the difference. Thank you Hope for touching my life, Thank you for changing, and educating so many lives.

To many People are quick to get mad, get even, be outraged. What would have happened if another Bear Killed Hope? Or a Wolf ? would we be quick to want to kill all wolves then, What if it was Lightning, Drowning, or being hit by a car. Hope was on borrowed time from the start, Creators gift to us was she was allowed to be here just long enough to make a difference.

I have nothing against hunting and Hope that the one who took her will use her properly. I use animal parts in ceremony, art and yes even on my dinner table. Hopefully always with the greatest respect and gratitiude.

HATE is not the message here. Hope Named appropriatly. Was born to bring just that. Hope!

So then, we talked alot.. we remembered and we recalled when we both walked away from the page back when and then we came to this and share with you our HOPE:

Hope that we learn kindess,and understanding,

Hope that we see our 4 legged relatives for the incredible teachers and healers that they are.

Hope that future generations learn respect for All our relatives.

Hope that people will pay attention to the wonders of nature around them. She brought all of you these things,S

Oh What A Day

this was my

gift of the day!

Beauty just surrounds us

if

we only take the time to open our eyes

to it!

the sun is shining here for the moment,

I have had the joy of talking with my dear friend

several states away

and

having coffee via the internet

with my pal

who is

as authentic as this beautiful

Hibiscus!

What a joyous time and what a

beautiful Hibiscus

that waited patiently for me to notice it!

And

then I heard it...

The Red Bird

that comes to let me know

to remind me of the joys that are mine

sitting to my right

just outside the lanai here,

singing me its joyous refrain

of the day!

So magnificent in its brilliance

and

oh how I enjoyed the visit!

And

yes, I read again the update

on

the Facebook

Lily The Black Bear

page

of the

"mini update" that was posted late last night

written by "who knows"

and signed as the usual researchers,

but anyone who has followed this page

knows

it was NOT written by Lynn rogers or Sue M.

Yes it appears

that now they were unable to reach or contact or get confirmation from the DNR

on

the North American Black Bear

HOPE

and

witnessed as she grew

and

the world has loved.

OH boy have we been on one wild ride as we watched from a distance this little one and her ventures in the wild!

She has captivated the world indeed with her wildness and her beauty.

BUT

now all figure is indeed dead from a hunter

at a bait stand

who shot and killed her legally

during hunt season.

It was also reported in this update

that Lynn Rogers is the one who helped to set the standards/laws for "bait stands" saying they were one of the best ways for hunters to be sure and make a swift kill.

But surprisingly no one has jumped on that bone,

of the many and varied bones that are being jumped there. So much to process when minds/hearts/nervous systems are now in crisis I'm thinking...

the sadness is almost too much to speak on

the grief is just palpable

on that and many other pages;

it is now turning to anger and rage.

Against hunters, against each other with varying opinions and thoughts.

It is countered with candles and prayers

and

thanks to the "now moderators" of which I have to wonder is not a sort of "set up" as I am sure there are really not many moderators left; many moderators I believe left prior to all of this as the page seems to have changed before all of this. Just as the dates of HOPE goin missing continue to change as the tides change, as the climate of the page and the seasons are changing and as folks and their expressions are changing... faster than the speed of "enter" or "submit" and more moods than a ring that used to be popular back in the day.

given the amount of ugliness on the page!

I think it may of been yesterday or the day before a photograph was posted of a young and proud hunter in the back of his pick up with dead bear for the world to view...

And I have to wonder how that helped anyone

as they were in shock and wondering why they haven't been told the truth of this bear

and

her probable (cerain?) death

out there in the Northwoods of MN.

Other sites on Facebook have popped up;

hunters who have claimed to make

"Hope Jerky", newlines and newpapers have now started to write articles of the famous internet bear feared dead,

and

folks once banned from the Lily facebook are now back on there

and all hell is breaking loose

but

there are no posts there

by

Lynn Rogers or by Sue Mansfield

themselves.

and

you have to wonder...

BUT

meantime

some have said

they can no longer support the

NABC, the WRI, they can no longer visit a page

that bashes hunters, that walks with some bears but not others, that interferes with pure research but yet sets bears up to be shot

and

then again

there are pages that now attack each other and views and opinions

and

yet others are receiving death threats as a result of expressing their grief or their views and opinions...

Still others are walking away with their integrity and dignity intact

and

deciding they will invest in those who are less fortunate and that need help from others

that may be going without food or human companionship as the light is changing and as winter is approaching

rather than

following wild bears in the woods.

Beauty is all around us

along with tragedy and the human condition

along with that of the

4-leggeds, the winged ones and the swimmers and crawlers I suppose.

Folks are now re-thinking

and

re-assessing

what they have invested in

and what they have worked so hard

in

and many are so wrapped up in the pain of loss that they are unable to think clearly before hitting the magic

"enter or submit key".

It seems that there is one page

that has been labelled

"uncensored"

that did stir up some controversy

and

it did get authentic notice and comments from one of the researchers.

Perhaps that is good;

I guess.

For at least folks knew that the researcher actually made the comment;

which is more than can be said by updates on the authentic site now.

Many are being urged to stay away from other pages; as they are filled with "spewing" and ugliness and "opinions"

and

the reality is

someone that was a fan of the

Lily the Black Bear page

who is a Florida resident actually put up a page

on the internet

made a BOUNTY

yes

a BOUNTY of $5,000.00

to be paid if NO collared Research BlackBears were shot during the hunting season!

It went out in cyber space and was actually endorsed by researchers as well.

it looks like an old timey

bounty poster

and

OMG

It asks for the license number and name of hunters!

Well to date it appears that one collared bear was shot in MN

so I am guessing now they do not have to pay that money out,

but

it seems

that is

blood money

just the same and someone

has blood on their hands.

Yet,

beauty is all around us;

here in Florida

and around the world

and

from the comments of yesterday

it would appear that many are now wondering what in the world has happened to a place where you can sign your name without fear of threat, without fear of someone wanting to do harm to you...

Sometimes I am thinking it is probably good

to be a BEAR

where you are above such as what has been witnessed on a public page and can be seen across the world and in cyber space

and

then

where folks have to look over their shoulders

cos' they are afraid that someone will want to do harm to them.

I did read on a page yesterday

that happened to pop up on a search I was doing (totally unrelated I might add)

...

that a Lily the Black Bear Fan

was willing to pay $10,000. for the name of the person who shot HOPE the bear;

and then wanted to string this man or woman up in the woods!

along the same lines...

someone likened the fans of the Lily the Black Bear and Lynn Rogers/Sue Mansfield to

a CULT, suggesting perhaps someone send them

"kool-aid"

and

I have to wonder

have the

OPINIONS

the

MISSION

VISION

ETHICS

INTEGRITY

HONOR

of what was intended

gotten really out of hand,

or were they ever really there to begin with?

I dont know about you

but

I plan to kick back today

smell this beautiful

white mountain lily

get out in the sun

and

ENJOY each breath!

But,

before I go... here is one opinion that you might have to agree with although not like:

 ~HOPE was not collared nor had ear tags

 ~IF the hunter shot her, it is hunt season and that is what hunters do; they hunt and kill

 ~Lynn Rogers has indicated that the hunter and he are on good terms, but the hunter has not returned his call/email regarding HOPE

~ Lynn knows folks at the DNR, it should not take this long for confirmation

~ Lily Fans who have been around since the beginning are smart enough when not in shock and grief to know that they are not hearing all the facts

~ Death threats? Are you kidding me.. folks getting death threats from middle aged women who live in nice homes with grandkids are making death threats and wishing others would die of cancer? what is WRONG WITH PEOPLE?

~ We would have never have known such remarkable animals had it not been for a live den cam, so we have been blessed by the experience although it came with a high tag and cost of caring

~ Blessings to those who are struggling with all of this pain

~ Bear SPIRIT is strong and powerful

So

there you go...

And today

there is a blog from a dear friend of mine that is worth the read; worth the investment of subscribing and definately worth getting involved in somehow and some way!

It involves just caring

about others; perhaps shipping a box of winter clothes or sending up a prayer

and letting others know

that
