HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Happy
Thanksgiving
to you and yours

from my home to yours

To my beloved family up there
in
Southwest Virginia
I send my love, my memories of
Thanksgiving blessing ways past.
As they prepare, as they laugh and
share stories
and send me pictures of my
full plate
of
Turkey, mashed taters (mouth watering now), GREEN SALAD
(that Angie will gorge herself on now that she does not have to share with me),
baked sweet potatoes, Mom's green beans, Lins' home-mad macNcheese, dressing to die for
(mine baked in round and great cakes like Granny and me used to like the best). pecan pies, and oMg
I can't just can't continue...
Sending blessings to family, to friends, to every living thing,
to ALL OUR RELATIONS,
we are all connected!

Today we give thanks and giving; to our Ancestors, to each other...
In compassion an in Kindness we walk, we gather with mindful purpose, to offer thanks.
We have gathered and we see that the cycles of life continue.
We have been given the privilege to live in balance and harmony with each other and all living things.
So now, we bring the Universal Oneness of our Creator together, with our minds together as one as we give greetings and thanks to each other as People.
Now our energy, or hearts, our community are joined with the Creator and
our minds are one
on this
Thanksgiving Day!
Wado/Amen
And for each of you
I give thanks,
and
So
It is!
And it is good...

The fire is burning brightly, her embers are hot, the sage and cedar are filling the air ~ ~ ~ with thoughts on the wind to all as always.

And
after your Thanksgiving parade... after your bellies are full...
ARE you ready for some
FOOTBALL???
haha

How bout' those Tampa Bay Bucs?
Ronde Barber #20
40 Interceptions/25 Sacks
NFL History was made!
Congrats Ronde my friend
I hear the
Hall of Fame has called for
your Jersey!
A man of honor, integrity, and humility
couldn't happen to a greater man!
Now, rest up this evening, go to bed early.
Starting at about 3am, it will be time to
"run with the bulls"
uh, I mean those who shop!
it will be
BLACK FRIDAY
the time and age old tradition
where it is perfectly ok
to lose all sense of reason
and storm the stores to save
$5.00
and get all that "stuff" that has been available all year long!
Happy Happy Trails and paths and joy!

Walk In Beauty,
DRSES
That is the HOPE in
Healing Heartaches

I recognize that these holidays are difficult for some, painful-loveliness as we remember those who are not with us physically...
Remember, you are never alone, there is
No Distance...
'I'll stand by you'
as Ms Patti Labelle sings so profoundly!
For those who are serving, for those who are experiencing a difficult journey,
for those who are grieving...
May the Creator shine upon you with protection and gentleness and the rainbow always touch your shoulder.

Got that Turkey Thawed yet?

Wow
I sure would love a
good ole
STEAK N CHEESE
from the
Broiler
up in
Arlington, Virginia
<>

Here we are,
one day til
THANKSGIVING

And here I am,
craving
a Steak N Cheese from
my
old stomping grounds in
Arlington VA
the day before
Thanksgiving!

OK, ok, I know, I should be salivating over the thoughts
of
Turkey, dressings, cranberries, mashed taters, baked sweet tator casserole with marshmallows on top,
and all those goodies,
but ohhh no,
I'm sittin here with my coffee
thinking about last time I was in
Arlington with Joan and Olivia
and
we were sitting at
The Broiler
and I was taking this picture
right before
singing my happy song
and
digging into my
Steak n Cheese!

So, did you know that on Thanksgiving
40 million Green Bean Casseroles are prepared and served on tables?
I find that to be an amazing fact!
Somehow, when I think of
green bean casseroles,
I always think of funerals!

On this eve of Thanksgiving,
I wish for safe journeys to all that are traveling to families and friends.
Blessings to all those who will gather round the kitchen, those who will sit together
and laugh, cry, and remember through stories
memories that are treasured.
May your "Hallmark" moments be more than you could hope for, your health be wonderful, your blessings be bountiful.
May your bellies be full as you find your way to the Day of Thanks and giving so much to another.

So for today...
I wish you all that the day will bring you
as you prepare for your day
of
Thanks
n
giving all.

Did you know?
"Turkeys have heart attacks. When the Air Force was conducting test runs and breaking the sound barrier, fields of turkeys would drop dead."

I guess you folks who watched "DWTS" are relieved...
as am I to be certain...
Thankfully America at least got the winner right!
Congratulations Jennifer, you were magnificent
you were beautiful with style, grace
and
you have sure got the moves on the floor
Patrick would be ever so proud.
As for the third place runner up?
What a joke that whole thing was... just as is the
New Bestseller that folks are standing in line for
ARE YOU KIDDING ME>
Just keepin it real folks

My hero this week goes to
BARBARA BUSH
as quoted in the news
on Sara Palin,
"She seems to like and do well in Alaska,
I HOPE she stays in Alaska"
God Bless Former First Lady Barbara Bush!
My hero of the week!

haha
ONe more for you on the eve of
Thanks-giving

The first Thanksgiving was not a feast, but rather a time when Native Americans helped Pilgrims by bringing them food and helping them build off the land and all living things that were eaten!
[tell me you knew that] while giving thanks to all that was used from the Creator....

The Fire is burning brightly, with hope for your Thanksgiving to be all that will sustain you as the holidays fill your senses, your heart and your bellies.

Just sayin...

This oughta tangle
your
Thoughts
"Granny in the good ole days"

I got this email this week,
and
I just have to share it with you!

There are some really great Nursing Homes out
there in the country, so if you are one of them,
please do not take offense here,
there are some great, really really
GREAT
Assisted Living Facilities as well.

I met a woman recently who has chosen to live
on
A CRUISE SHIP
rather than an Assisted Living Facility!
NOW
that is an idea that I think is really worthy
of pursuing...

Humor, it's all about attitude and humor
especially in the dark months,
particularly as we approach the stress, the
wonderment
the
joy
of Thanks-Giving
and the day after
when
the ga-zillions will be out in force
with coffee in their systems
and
a wild and crazed look in their eyes
and hit the malls
for those
90% off sales
and that one of a kind most remarkable gift
in their minds

Now where was I???
Oh yes, the email that I am just bound to share with all who gather here...

Here's the way it should be:

Let's put the seniors in jail and the criminals in nursing homes.
This would correct two things in one motion:

Seniors would have access to showers, hobbies and walks.
They would receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical treatment, wheel chairs, etc.
They would receive money instead of having to pay it out.
They would have constant video montering, so they would be helped instantly... if they fell or needed assistance.

Bedding would be washed twice a week and all clothing would be ironed and returned to them.
A guard would check on them every 20 minutes.
All meals and snacks would be brought to them.
They would have family visits in a suite built for that purpose.
They would have access to a library, weight/fitness room, spiritual counseling, a pool and education...and free admission to in-house concerts by nationally recognized entertainment artists.

Simple clothing - IE. shoes, slippers, pj's - and legal aid would be free, upon request.
There would be private, secure rooms provided for all with an outdoor exercise yard complete with gardens.
Each senior would have a P.C., T.V., phone and radio in their room at no cost.
They would receive daily phone calls.
There would be a board of directors to hear any complaints and the ACLU would fight for their rights and protection.
The guards would have a code of conduct to be strictly adhered to, with attorneys available, at no charge to protect the seniors and their families from abuse or neglect.

'BIF'

As for the criminals:
They would receive cold food.
They would be left alone and unsupervised.
They would receive showers once a week.
They would live in tiny rooms, for which they would have to pay $5,000 per month.
They would have no hope of ever getting out.
"Sounds like justice to me!"

Ride on
Granny
across the galaxies

Are ya laughing with me this morning?

Blue Moon Out My Window

Bluuuu Moooon
"Granny came to visit again last night"

Good morning
MONDAY

Sittin here with my coffee, still lookin at that
BLUUUUU MOOOON
you left me standing alone
haha

ssh, don't want to wake the neighbors or the
4 leggeds this mornin.

Those Tampa Bay Bucs
sure did go out there
show their stuff yesterday
Can you say,
 "SHUT OUT"
and
Ronde Barber #20
his
40th interception in his fabulous career
Can you say,
"Hall of Fame"
~ ~ ~

I'm thinking Godson's game
and
The Bucs
were the positives of
this
rare and special
Bluuuuu Moon
this week.

Full moons do appear to bring out strange energies,
and not always in a particularly great way
for many.

Blue Moon out my window...
Wonder how Lily The NOrth American Black Bear and HOPE are doin in their dens this mornin in snow covered Ely MN... and Shadows Clan
and Dr Rogers and Sue???
Wonder if everyone took the pledge of caring for each other over there on discussions at Facebook on Lily's page?
Wonder why there is such mean spiritness by some?
BLUE MOON maybe?
or just choices...
Sending love to Dr Rogers, Sue, The Bears and folks of good spirit and ADmins there this Monday,
HOPE all are dancing~
We see it in stores, in moods, in energy too.
I think the dark months play on the energy of some
while
"choices"
play on the moods, energy, words
of most most of the time.
WE
live in a world of
do it now
expect much
offer little
demands
pressure
and
now that the holidays are in full tilt
during this week of
Thanks-Giving
it seems that we will see the very best and very worst
of folks.
Plans are in the works for travel to family, to friends,
over the river through the woods.
Congested highways, by-ways, down the street,
expectations of
"Hallmark moments"

On this Monday morning
of this Full Moon that is headed to rest in the creek
while sister sun
rises
I give you this thought.

BREATHE into your day gently.
Be KIND to yourself,
start it out slow, with a stretch and a
moment of gratitude.
Think of something amusing
me/you/something you saw on TV
muster up a laugh.
Choose
to be light in each step this week
and
lower those expectations
of
YOU
and others.
Remember,
we
are human BEINGS, not "doings"
we are all a work in progress...
Set aside your judgments of others, they are the same as
YOU, doing their best...

"Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you - not because they are nice, but because you are." ~Author Unknown

The fire is burning, the embers are hot, with thoughts on the wind to all mentioned yesterday and some who are not, you know who you are.
Best of Mondays to all ~

It's The 325th Day of The Year!

DECEMBER 12, 2010
The Compassionate Friends
World-Wide Candle Lighting
Around The Globe
Candles will be lit
at
7pm
Remembering The Children
All Gone Too Soon

Please contact your local chapter of
The Compassionate Friends to see where they are holding their special evening in your area
if you have a child who has died
and join them
for this evening of healing
of gathering with others who have
walked this arduous journey.
Those of you who have not walked this path,
I invite you to join with us
on
December 12
at
7pm in your time zone
and light your candles
Remembering the children
all
Gone Too Soon
as we remember them
while honoring the families.
Here, we will be gathering together
for details, directions and information.

[My Great-Aunt Effie
died yesterday November 20, 2010
at 4:00AM
She is now with our Relations, with the Ancestors;
Dancing across the Galaxies.
I'm sure she was met with tears of gladness
her long life rewarded
Her work here is done,
a life lived well
Loved by many there in North Carolina.
May The Creator bless you family
and the memories sustain you
as we Celebrate her home with the Ancestors.]
Bennie, Gayle, Jonathan, the little ones, Dot, Linda, Betty, JoAnn, J.T., Angie, Kamryn, D'Vante...
we were blessed, we are loved, the stories are many,
the love lives strong within us.
WE CELEBRATE OUR ELDERS,
WE CELEBRATE HER HOME.

It is
Thanks-GIVING week
a time of grace, gratitude, kindness, compassion.
A time of giving of self
of remembrance
of
laughter and light
A time
that the stores will be busy, shoppers
 and preparations.
Folks will be on the roads in full force, plans in the making, trips and excitement fills the air.
Memories of times gone by all too quickly.

As the holidays are upon us,
I wish you enough to sustain and nurture you.
I HOPE you enough to give of self to others
to remember those who would benefit from your
extension of kindness
your care
of
compassion
and
I want for you
to take
BEST CARE OF YOU
Be gentle with yourself during these days...
Laugh often, even if at yourself.
It is in the "giving of thanks"
that we receive the bounty of love.
The love begins
"within" deeply within
which is only possible with self-care
in order to care for and love others fully.
I wish for you
to always walk with straight eyes
and clean hands
with honor, integrity, and truth.
For that
I give thanks,
AND
SO IT IS!

The fire is burning brightly, its embers are hot... the air is filling with sage and cedar ~ ~ ~
