Thank YOU

thank-you

To ALL who have served
are
serving
THANK YOU

><

As we embrace this long weekend
and visit with those friends
and
family
please take a moment to remember,
and
by all means
while hitting those stores to get the
"ribs to throw on the grill"
the burgers and dogs
sodas and beer for the cooler...
say thanks to a Vet, a soldier, a family member,
ohhh geez
let's just say hello and thanks to everyone we see
on this Labor DAY WEEKEND
and
engage them
in UNITING
as
those who STAND TOGETHER
IN THIS COUNTRY OF OURS UNITED!

Get yourself that
AMERICAN FLAG
if yours isn't flying
and
be sure to get it in the wind
once you are home.

when the apartment complex or HOA
comes around and tells you to take it down,
let the first call you make
be to the local news station and paper
as
you remind them
of those who are fighting for our freedoms
followed
by the question

DO YOU REMEMBER

9/11
WE WILL NEVER FORGET

Thank you to those
who are serving; to those who gave ALL,
to those who ran to enlist
after our world stood still on that day
and to the families who stand beside them in hope that they will return and be able to resume their lives.

In a little town in
Radford VA
someone managing the Apartment complex known
as
Ridgewood Place
has decided
those who pay their rents, support their countries and communities
MUST REMOVE
the FLAG OF THE USA
along with the Little bitty flag of the local high school.

This is
America, our country here,
and
folks have the right to fly the Flag of our country
at their apartments, homes, and on their cars.

USA
(the management did not say to remove the plants that were paid for and planted by the tenant though)

"Remove the Flag or Move"
was the message!

STOMP!
In the New River Valley of Virginia
a little home of
"Friday Night Lights"
supporting our soils, our country
and
community!
Where is the local news and fellow neighbors to take a
STAND on this issue?

The reality is this:
we together in this country; in our communities,
our
little bands of villages
MUST
return to taking a stand for each other,
in
UNITY
as those who care
in order to teach our children
in order to demonstrate to the world
and
each other
that together
we are so much more
than words can speak
and
it is because
WE
are the land of the free
because of the brave.
On
9/11
the day the world stood still;
we
STOOD UNITED
the first responders
were NOT invited to show up then,
but
WE DID.
To NY ground zero to the Pentagon
we arrived, we faced the smells, the sights, the fears, and we walked through hell
as
ONE, Unity...
We attended to the devastation of families, friends, each other
with compassion, determination, and passion
of purpose.
Our lives were forever changed
are still changed.
Our tolerance yes, it changed too that day.

So then,
something that seems trivial like an apartment complex in a small little town in southwest Virginia, a manager doing a walk about with a resident and demanding that a small flag and a poster for a local high school be removed...
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I cannot help but wonder... where were they on
the day the world stood still of 9/11?

So this weekend?
Have the best of weekends... while taking a moment to remember, a moment to think of those who have returned home in flag draped caskets or harmed in physical and psychological ways unimagined
because
they took a stand.
Enjoy each breath,
and
tell me
IS IT SO HARD TO TAKE A STAND
TO STAND UNITED
TO GET OUT THERE AND
"OUTSHINE THE SUN"
just because you can

Fly those flags friends,
DO NOT LET ANYONE TAKE YOUR RIGHTS
others are fighting everyday to preserve them.

Thank you
Joey Graff for serving
at
Desert Storm

Stand United
Warriors

The fire is burning, the sage is filling the air with hope, with prayers on the winds to all.

Many blessings as we welcome this weekend.

Good Morning Cuz & fellow Warriors,
It is a sad day knowning and remembering 9/11 and even know all the soliders who continue to fight for our country and my lil flag is an "eye soar" to the management....What is the world coming too??? I may have to take it out the mulch but you can best believe I will figure out some way to continue to fly my flag and keep my sign up in support of my son and his fellow teammates!!
God Bless all the first responders, all those that were effected around the country and everyone who is still over seas fighting for the USA~~
Have a great day Cuzzie!!

Thank you for the inspiring words today. Saying thank you and Bless you who have served and stood up for this grand country of ours. God Bless their families and keep those still serving safe and bring them all home soon. God Bless the first responders at 9/11. Without each of you this story would have surely had a more horrible ending. So many lives saved and touched by those first responders. Prayers for all those here today. Be safe and Well and enjoy some family time. God Bless our Grand Country and wave that flag proudly.

Having a great time, wish you were here......
No, dear ones, I am not away, or with Chris.
I read yesterday's about the 4 leggeds and oh, how I love the stories & pics of those cuties.
I have 2 flags flying at my place, one in the back of my car, my flag pin on shirt. I am the proud daughter of an Ex=POW from W W I I
No one better ask me to take my flags down, I will " take THEM down " Best of everything to everyone on this Saturday of the Labor Day Weekend. Thanks for all who serve / served.
Watching the storms forming & coming fast & furious during hurricane season. Be safe, but most of all, stay FIRM (ly) planted on US soil

Irene! You snuck off to Hawaii and didn't take us along in your suitcase????
Angie... Get a bigger flag, one that covers the entire porch! What about having your car "wrapped" as a flag!
Must be the angry birds that lead me to think such mischievous thoughts.
Love a LOOOOOOOONG weekend, especially this one. No labor for me, I'm on strike. Oh a sit in, or a walk out, or or or... let me give this some more thought. I'm up to something.
Will share my more serious thoughts about 9/11 and our service men and women in the days to come. I promise to be more poised by then.
Enjoy today.
