Wishing you all a great weekend~

The progress next door is going great
Stewart and Sandy are working their tail feathers off and taking soot off everything they touch as well.
They have been busy and return looking like
something I'm not sure to call them
except failed chimney sweeps that must return the next day.
We've had lovely but tired evenings together
with Stewart saying
last night this was not how he envisioned his
golden years
" a man sitting here at the table with three women talking about recipes! BUT the food is good enough to moan over so it's going real fine so far.
He of course had to say if we start talking about facials and manicures and such, he may have to go next door to start a fire just to get away from here for awhile"
We all thought that hysterical!
The investigation continues and that part is very difficult on both of them
but they are good people who are working hard to restore their home
and know that they have a home here to fall into at night
with no expectations
and
no need to talk.
Sometimes that silence is golden after such long days and the heat and the darkness of soot.
The laughter lifts the soot better than the many chemicals that we've tried, so we laugh a lot
and
the humor can get wicked at times.
We are ever so sensitive to people on the street
and it's funny how your sense of smell is increased after events like this.
But we are
warriors
and warriors are alert
but mostly
resilient
and
through this we have once again discovered
in the face of threat; real or perceived
one loses their ability for petty B.S. from places like
billing offices/code offices/clerks/and places like that.
Kindness becomes ever so important when dealing with or being dealt with in business
and
those with unkind actions or words need to duct
cos' of that B.S. meter that appears to be broken
or perhaps the wattage has been reset by the frontal lobe of the brain,.
Not so sure about this but it appears
that it takes little to set off the neurotransmitters
that give the command
before u can say "are u kidding me"
it is done.
So then
with that in mind,
I wish you enough
I pray you a great day
and even more spectacular weekend.

"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. i'll always be with you.”

Get in that happy place of yours
and block the door
so that no one can get to you or it
haha
Unless invited that is.
best of all things to all of you
Remember
if you don't like something ... change it.
If you cannot change it... change your attitude about it
and your
reaction.
That may be all that is needed to enhance your coping strategy.
then practice practice practice
THE BRAIN THRIVES ON COSISITENCY
so give it consistent messages
and
you will have consistent results
at your command
cos
you command the brain!
Wow that was deep for a Friday!!!

Good Friday, good coffee, good weather, good health, good everything.
Glad to hear the progress next door and sounds like your back pain has eased a bit.
I loved the line "get in that happy place and
BLOCK THE DOOR " I am gonna do just that.
Wishing everyone the most special day ahead and a wonderful weekend to follow. You might just have to slap the happy outta me ! Irene

Thank you for these uplifting words for a Friday. Very much needed. Been a long week. I am happy things continue to improve with Stewart and Sandy and their home. I know they are anxious to have it back in order and livable again. It is comforting to know they have such good friends that love and care about them and open their homes and hearts to their needs. I hope your back is feeling better - prayers still going up for all of you. Sending love and Blessings to you and all who visit here today. Have a Fantatastic Friday and a wonderful weekend.

Thank God, thank God for Bette Milder and her sweet wonderful voice. She was there when we needed her the most. Yes, Granny is in her special place with Pappy and their boys. They all have Angels wrapped around them. Be sure we all know Granny is beside us in our lives and we will get a swift kick in the butt when we do wrong. I can see her and Pappy as I walked into their house dancing to ONE DAY AT A TIME SWEET JESUS. Oh how we miss them. Our lives have changed so much and their presence is needed many times. I feel them and know they are ok. Losing a mother and a father is a very sad time and it is never forgotten. So glad Sandy and Stu are getting their house in order. My heart aches for them. I plan to go get my hair done and out to eat something good and hope my day is filled with love. Thanks for all your prayers. Remember our soldiers and their families. Say a prayer for our President and hope he is doing it right. Blessings
