Beautful Day Home from NC

Well
hello to all
...
I'm home
from a wonderful tour
of
North Carolina
where they serve you
ICED TEA
in a
Mason Jar
and
have the greatest of steaks
lined up on the menu

right beside of choices
like
"pimento cheese sandwhich"
and
I just cannot imagine
ordering
a
"pimento cheese sandwhich"!!!
...
oh did I meet some fantastic
folks along the journey
through
the City that is growing like a wild fire
in
Charlotte
to
the wonderful folks in
Winston Salem
and
ending with some folks
who tickled me good
in
Raleigh!
North Carolina has some fine
Professional Caregivers there
and
all are working hard to provide care
in hard times of our economy
in times
when folks need the best doing so much for so many.
It was a great honor to spend time with them.
I believe it was in Charlotte
that I was able to meet a young woman
named
Shanna
who worked in the restaurant
Shanna
was a delightful young woman
friendly, and she had a great story to share!
Shanna is the
granddaughter of
Mr Bernard Wylie
of
Charlotte NC
and
Mr Bernard
"invented Pecan PIE"
><
Now how bout that?
I was sitting right there talking to the granddaughter of the man who invented a slice of heaven!
and
what is truly funny?
Shanna does NOT like pecan pie!!!
Oh the wonder of
spiders' web
each thread one touches affects the other
and the web affects the whole of
Creation!
thank you
Mr Wylie
for your magnificnet invention!
In the hotels were
trees
Christmas trees
Christmas music
oh the season to be jolly
the moods
to be
Merry
the season is all around us
(well except for the hustle and bustle of the airports)
and
the highways
and
byways!

I heard while on the tour via a blog of our warrior
EE
that she was so very ill
my heart sank
and
I was very worried.
It seemed that she contracted
Staph
from the heart procedure and then ate some
food that gave her weakened system food poisoning
or
and
the flu on top of it.
She is now recovering,
but with a fragile system it has taken its toll
and now she struggles to find her way to strength again
in order to get the needed strength of soon a trip of 3 hours to
Denver
for a surgery to remove this life threatening tumor on her kidneys (2)
and
we all will surround her with thoughts/prayers
and
if that link is up
and
you have something to send
it would be used for gas/for hotels for her son
to have a nearby place to rest his head while she is in the hosptial.

Yes
even in the magical and most sacred times of the year
really rotten things happen
to really lovely people in our world
on this page
and
in our communities.
We talked about that this week
how caring so deeply for so many over time
can erode your resiliency
can make you question your faith at times
and make you weak in the knees
when you care so deeply
and
see such things so closely.
It is during times of great stress and heart rendering situations and times
that we must dig deeply to faith
to
hope
to cherish all that we are
to help us stand tall
and
to hold to each other
and
to that which is greater than any one of us
or that which is within us
and
know
that together we are much more
than we will ever be alone.
We are never stronger than when we reach out and ask for help
and
it does not matter how many come forward
or who
but that someone somewhere is caring
and
if possible someone hears.
THAT IS ALL WE NEED
is the knowledge
we are never alone.
STOMP

With each new day
comes new strength new HOPE new possibilites
and
NEW hands to reach to another

Just think,
i met the granddaughter of the man
who invented
Pecan Pie...
talk about hands reaching and meeting and
WOW

Warm in the south Doc? Sounds like a little intro to Christmas up there in N.C.with the Christmas trees, and lights, and music all around. Lovely time of year to enjoy it all. Best to all who gather here and best to EE and son in Colorado. Healing days are ahead.

Ahh Dr. Sherry, you got home and had a grand time. I know those you spoke to and spent time with are grateful you were there. Wow, the granddaughter of the man who invented pecan pie - that is something and Mmmm a piece of pecan pie now that would be good with a cup of hot tea. I loved the picture.
Prayers continue for EE and her son. HOpe you will be feeling better and on your way for surgery and then well all the way. Take care friends and all those who stop by her and enjoy the weekend. Fluff/Sandy♥

FULL C O L D MOON tonite, this Saturday in December ! No explanation or detailed information needed for this one. Gearing up for the parade this afternoon. Hope everyone is doing exactly what they want or feel up to doing this day. Tomorrow is lighting the candles for Compassionate Friends, as I am sure Dr. Sherry will remind us later on.
Peace on Earth, friends...... Irene FIRM Ice

BRRRRR !!! What's up with the winter weather ?
Sure glad you've made it home safely Doc but you might have left the cold north air behind...
Sounds as if you had a great time, full of folks who surely were blessed by meeting you.
I am up a bit too early for my liking, thinking this might be the perfect day to stay warm and snug, coffee in hand... lots of stuff today on yhe agenda but most important, greetings and well wishes to all who visit here, prayers to EE and her son are in the wind...
I will be lighting candles here today in honor of all the children, gone too soon... peace and comfort for the familes who will be remembering with love and cherished memories..
Also a poolside party, parade this evening, hoping that stamina will find me and give this weary one a push.. burger joint having been way too busy lately, kicking my butt straight out !
LOL... not quite as energetic as I used to be.
So, best of life today for all. May we all
have some piece of peace and serenity in our hearts.. Welcome home Sherry !!
hugging my angels, ♥ ♥ sign me, A.
