God Bless America and her people

Flags are at half mast all over the Nation; in communities around the land, honoring the fallen of the tragedies once again that have devastated, shocked and traumatized our people. We have watched helplessly as so many were wheeled away, or placed on stretchers for aide after the unthinkable happened on a sunny day in Boston; were kept up to the date as a city on the East Coast was literally locked down for its safety of the people while those behind the badge did not stop and did not fail to find the ones responsible for terror. We have seen the graphic photographs of carnage. As individuals and as a country we have wept and lost sleep and worried and once again felt fear for our brothers and sister and probably self while wondering what in the hell is happening to our country and those we call human beings.
In the same days we were rocked by an explosion that happened in the West in Texas as a town and its people were horrified by the loss of lives secondary to a fertilizer plant explosion and the deaths that resulted. The numbers have now changed to 35 or so according to CNN with 10 of  of those deaths being first responders answering the call. It may be that more than 1 or the first Responders were off duty when they ran to help. More than 160 were injured and now they tell us the death numbers could be higher and the assessments are still underway.
Texas and its horror did not get the same non-stop coverage as Boston and many are irate about that. It may be that since one was an act of terror with an active manhunt and a city on lockdown was given priority over what appeared as an explosion in a plant in the West.
I cannot imagine that is was that the lives were less important, rather than the city and the manhunt and words "terrorism" is what made that happen.
We did get some updates through the days, but the one update that would have done the world some good, the people some good and offered the people a respite from the images that are now seared in the brain and pain that is etched on hearts is this:

On the same day of the tragedies in Boston and in Texas; there were heroes that ran to the horror; people that did not run away, but to those in need and in screaming pain to HELP. Some had just finished that run and then heard the bombs, turned around and ran toward danger and extended themselves, placed themselves in harms way to help their brothers and sisters by rendering whatever aide or support they could. Others ran straight to the hospitals and offered their blood, offered to give support, to stay with those that were in shock until a family member or friend could arrive for them. Some called those behind the badges to report what they had seen, gave up their phones and videos in hopes that something would be seen by the trained eye. The city came together to do all that was needed in a time of chaos, fear, and great need. The celebrations spilled into the streets and applause was heard for each car with blue lights as they left once the last suspect was taken. He is currently in the hospital under heavy guard. We now are flooded with hearing and seeing their faces; of hearing from the parents in Russia; have heard of the Fathers' threat to America if he dies and what an "angel his boys are". We have no tolerance at this point for that. We are hearing far too much about them and far to little of the people who are struggling for their precious lives along with those heroes that died, those who fought for our safety, those everyday people who ran to crisis to help.

Quite frankly I for one do not want the USA to bring the parents here, I do not trust them as safe; I do not want to hear about how others thought them wonderful or good boys. Ted Bundy was thought at one time to be a helluva personable guy. Their angel ran over his brother in a car and left him dead; and they together killed innocent people and walked calmly away. It could have gotten even worst as he returned to a campus and used a key card to access areas where large numbers of people gather. Bin Laden was loved by his minions if I remember correctly.  There seems to be no love lost between these brothers and their uncle in MD who from the first interview referred to them as 'losers' if I recall and seems to be estranged by the father ... who then threatens this country?
We are seeing and hearing too much of them, and not nearly enough of the survivors, the ones who stood for Boston and the resilience of those who now today will be out on the streets trying to get their equilibrium and breath normal. It will take time, a long time.
We need to know how folks in Texas are, we need to hear something that is uplifting and good deeds done by someone and how we as a country are going to come together as we were at one time rather than the conspiracy theories and continual blames and hate that seems to have heightened in groups and those who are using this as a means for their agendas.

Out in Texas, right after that explosion a man ran TO IT, to help; Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings identified the off-duty fire fighter as Kenny Harris, a captain in his city's fire department. Harris "rushed to the scene as a helper,". He died trying to help, running TO rather than away or just standing and watching in fear and horror.
The area around the site of the massive explosion at a fertilizer plant that flattened much of the small Texas town remains "very volatile" due to the presence of ammonium nitrate, McLennan County Chief Deputy Sheriff Matt Cawthon said Thursday.
Authorities searched through mounds of rubble in hopes of finding survivors of the blast that left shattered homes and wreckage in a wide swath of the town, which has only 2,800 people. So many lives forever changed, so much destroyed, and so many harmed the counts are still being figured out, many still hospitalized. About half the town was evacuated, including the nursing home with 133 residents, and the search is ongoing. The grief and shock is overwhelming.
Yet on the day of Texas's the explosion that devastated a town and caused residents to be evacuated, none other than Willie Nelson stood up and let all know that he has a concert planned in Texas on April 30 to celebrate his 80th birthday. That concert will go on as planned and ALL PROCEEDS will now go to the West, for the people who lost so much. One great man, quickly stood up for the West and said, "I'm here for you, we've got this" and let them know.  I have yet to see news coverage about that (unless they read it on his page of social media or my blog). Willie Nelson, a modern day prophet immediately felt the pain, knew loss and took action for the people. Just that simple, just that quick.

Today, may we stand as one, offering our deepest condolences to those lives lost in these tragedies on our soils, those precious lives and families who now grieve their friends, family, co-workers and the communities. May we stand for that which is right way relations as we move about our days mindfully knowing that we are united in our desire for peace, compassion, kindness in families, communities, states, and country.  This is our country, our sisters and brothers are in uniform fighting for our very freedoms which we seem to take for granted so often, it is past time we throw those lines that separate us away and stand on solid ground united as one, together to make this the land for all equally to improve our country for the better.
