What is it...

This was seen on
Facebook yesterday
and
I laughed outloud!
Oh pick me,
let me be the driver
of
that bus!

What is it about people,
about truth?
How is it
that when you peel the onion
to get to the truth
that folks just
outright
do not like it?
What is it?
As we hear stories of
"who shot John" stories
and
"perceptions"
of others
it always is interesting
if not rather shocking
how folks and who folks believe
in a day.
What is it that makes folks believe
who they believe
and
react the way in which they react
and
to whom?
It is truly amazing at times
and
quite frankly
just boggles the mind.
What is it
that makes folks treat others badly
and
think it will not at some point come back and bite them in the A**?
Karma sweet Karma;
where is the bus?
Oh how that sign just tickled me to life!
But
really now,
what is it about people and things these days?
Even the woman who now has a bestseller coming out with her affair with JFK?
Do we really need to read about another affair that happened?
What's up with that and why now?
What it is it,
that motivates and moves folks to have such knee/jerk reactions of craziness.
It's just not in hollywood, not just in prisons, not just those who are served by health/mental health professionals
or
pathology in press and neighborhoods...
It is being seen more places than imagined.

We trust our children to educators
to teach
and
then we find out that teachers
now are not teaching children
to write
cursive anymore
cos' they use computers
and the art of handwriting is no longer seen to have value?
How will they know their distinctive signature I wonder...
We trust the same educators
that we later watch being accused of molesting children on the news
and
then we see an educator accused of
abuse on the news
after she had put a "frowny green face" on a child's work?
it was abuse?
We hear about people being fired
or
"terminated"
their services no longer needed
based on the words of a disgruntled
stranger/consumer,
who felt they were somehow not given their money's worth.
All without asking or inquiring of the person/provider they knew; the person they supposedly valued or cared about
who stood for them yet
so quickly
cast aside.
What is it?
We now see where Whitney Houston's music
is topping the charts
in death her income is rising faster
than stocks on Wall Street
and yet
prior to her death
folks talked about her like a dog
even those who now mourn her so deeply in front of cameras.
How can that be authentic?
The good news is,
I was reminded of some really good music I hadn't heard in years
and
have really enjoyed!
and yes, I have played it loud
and
it has evoked some grand memories.
But
I also haven't talked about her like a dog
in the choices she made,
I just accepted
she had it all
and
made some bad choices in her life
and
real is real,
her music is legendary.
and
Truly I am asking;
What is it about people?
Songs that have been available for folks to listen to; identify with, and relate to
now are being bought and listened to over and over again... folks are saying
"this is my theme song for my life".
And I have to wonder;
"why wasn't it your theme song last month"
before Whitney died?
We are seeing signs and such on Facebook that have Whitney on one side and soldiers on the other with captions reading:
"One person dies a million cries/One million dies no one cries" and asking others to click like for some reason trying to compare a star with dying children and tears for one compared to the other...
What is THAT?
and why?
To stir in things til' they stink I think!
Why?
Isn't there enough angst in the world
or in the individual lives of people already?
What is it?
...
The brain is brilliant
but what is it
about people?
The messages that they send
in their actions
along with the mixed messages sent to the brain are complex ...
when you give your brain mixed messages, you have to be prepared to get mixed results.
And when you send out mixed and scattered messages to people
one has to be prepared to be looked at and received differently!
But
I have to wonder;
really have to dig deep in understanding.
Just as when we see two people having such great love and affections
ending in bitter divorces
or ending great friendships
in disgust
in bitterness
you have to wonder
how is it
that two people who lived together,
laughed together,
dreamed together,
loved each other,
now have to destroy each other,
have to dislike or hate
as opposed to just walking away as friends
or
just walk away?
Questions for the ages I suppose.

Isn't it a
SHAME
when it is
less than honest,
less than integrity filled
and awe inspiring?
Isn't it a dirty rotten shame
when what it is
isn't what is should be and could be
so easily in life?
When life has its own share of ups and downs;
of heartbreaks and heartaches?
When life and breath are so very fragile on this earth
and
those we believe in and stand for
disappoint
or
harm
or
hurt
along the path?
What is it?
Isn't it a low down dirty shame
that
others
and often
ourselves
lose the way?
And
for what
for who
for
how long
until waking up and realizing
LIFE IS RIGHT HERE
RIGHT NOW
...
To be embraced
To be enjoyed
So tell me,

What is it
that
YOU stand for?
What is it
that
YOU
find meaning in?
What is it
that
YOU
will get riled up about?
What is it
that
YOU
are doing to make a difference
in your life and the lives of those around you?
“I can be changed by what happens to me. but I refuse to be reduced by it.” ~ Maya Angelou

Powerful message Dr. Sherry, I too want to drive that bus! What a wild ride that would be. People can be mean, selfish, and way too full of themselves. So many people sink to the lowest level, over and over and over. What amazes me is how they climb up out of the muck and mire to try and drag others down. You are so right on so many levels here. Why not reach out and lift up those whose lives we touch, and those who touch us? We need to bring back real relationships. I think all this electronic stuff adds to the mix. Just click away and dismiss. Blurt out anything in a tweet and you are off to the next thing. No eye to eye contact, no my handshake si my word. I miss a time now gone where what mattered most was honor and integrity and our lives were not so full of useless instant communications. People text thoughtlessly and train themselves to communicate the same way.
Why not soften this ugliness with genuine smiles, kind words and gentle touches? STOMP

Dr. Sherry, very strong and much needed words today. I would also like to see that Karma bus coming cuz I know it is coming one day - I'll let someone else drive, I just want to be along for the ride. You know, it seems to be such a crazy world we live in and seems some people just don't think much any more about the consequences of their actions any longer. With the electronics out there I never can figure out why so many people have to share exactly what is on their mind and not think who is going to read it and some really don't seem to care. Why do we have to know what they are doing at that very moment - even if it is they are going to the bathroom! My mind can't get it there - facebook, twitter and all those other stops - Why do we have to know everything one is doing? What they are eating ~ drinking ~ saying ~ what they are feeling ~ what they are thinking ~ who they are with ~ every single second? The media plays a big part also with EVERYTHING is in the news and on TV now and said over and over again on every channel until it racks your brain with too much information you think it would explode! It just doesn't seem necessary to me to keep on hearing all that stuff that clutters ones brain. Yes, please Dr. Sherry, if you get to drive that Karma bus one day please come and pick me up in Michigan and I will ride along with you - I have a few stops I would like you to make and a few people that need to meet that Karma bus full face on Hee Hee☺

Well, wishing you all, who stop by here, a Wonderful Wednesday and one filled with peace and enjoing the Blessings for your day. I am happy to be here with the great ones who stop by and grateful for this place. Happy it is Wednesday and only 2 more days and the weekend is here again. I am doing some Fluffee clowning things Saturday and looking forward to it! Take care everyone and be well and warm. Chilly here today in the low 30s and little bits of snow & rain but heading to the 40s Yeah! Hope it is warm and sunny where you are /Sandy♥

WAIT ! I want to drive the bus with Fluffie the clown seated in front, best hair & make-up on.
OR, I will be Dr. SES's co-pilot, cause she claimed driver first.
OR, I will fil the bus up continually with high-priced gas.
Or, I will provide excellent MUSIC on that bus so everyone will be happy and get along. No lies.
OR, perhaps you all think I have lost my Wednesday marbles, huh?
Gotta run

Wow, Anonyous fluff and FIRM thank you all for your early and powerful thoughts here... Ok, we'll take turns driving, but I want a window seat!!!
How I enjoy the "autenticity" and challenge you each to re read the message, to start at the top, end with watching our diva Patti Labelle filled with such raw and pwerful emotion sing that song, and then be fueled to share again all of your thoughts about "what is it?"
you know? together we are changing the world through energy that is felt, through the very consciousness of the God/dess within each of us that makes a difference in the Universal connections of the world we live in within our communites, in those we see and speak with, in services we purchase, in places we frequent, in what we do in our very lives, YOU are making an impact!
And yes
the world is round... that Karma bus is rolling ...
Be your driver, set your selves well and stand PROUD, you are the bus!

Greetings on the wind folks. OH my what an AWESOME post this morning from our doc. Words to live by doc-words to live by. Yes, the world seems to have lost truth and honesty and fairness and dealing with people in an honest and authentic way and you have just said it all about it. All progress is NOT good and people who are hooked on tweeting, facebook my space etc, those that no longer know how to really carry on face to face relationships are lost in this world. The same people probably are hooked to shows like Jerseylicious, bad girls gone bad and all those reality shows where people act like less than human and certainly not how I want to act. Greetings to all here and prayers for a bright day. Remember as our doc says STOMP and feel the earth under your feet and rise up and carry on truth and honesty in your world. Hugs on the wind. EE

Greetings to you EE, and thank you for being here, for your thoughts and your energy... WE ARE THE WORLD... and we stand in truth, and spread the message each and every breath, on step at a time, and often it is in the truth that we may catch "hell" but it is truth that will find a bright light and be received when folks set aside their own issues to recieve it in honesty and pureness which it is offered.
yes those shows do show us there is another way to move through a day, but oh what a day that must be when the day ends for those who promote misery and self indulgence I suppose... Guess they need a good therapist who keeps it real?
LOL
Blessings on the wind dear one...

Sherry, your words ring the truth and bring out the truth of this quote:

“The world is a dangerous place. Not because of the people who are evil; but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.”

it is those that do nothing about the things wrong..who ride along trying to “not rock the boat”..that make this world more evil.

And so like the other here, I STOMP with you for authenticity, honesty, integrity and I thank you for KEEPING IT REAL as only you can.

hugs dear friend.

doc, you made me laugh. Yes, guess they do need a good therapist and I know a GREAT one. LOL

As always you keep it real and tell it like it is. One of the honorable things about you among many things. :)

hugs on the wind friend.

Greetings to you Danelle and welcome to a page of powerful yet gentle warriors! I thank you for your quote and for you being here!!
We should all gather this week
of
FAT TUESDAY and have our own "STOMP DANCE"
as we keep it real!

Oh EE I think I just heard your laughter on the winds and it fills my soul.. With love to you on this cloudless day from here in Florida where the rains are trying so hard to fall... the cardinal has been singing to me today amid the leaves falling from the trees... I think I hear the Karma truck and I do know that the world is round!

helloooo.
there sure are some very truthful and impactful words shared here today, along with a bit of fun.
I realize that I am just a grain of sand in our huge world, yet I believe I am as important in doing my part to help fix the problems..
If I start my day with positive thoughts of doing the best I can,
being kind and helpful, taking the time to take that extra step to maybe bring a smile to a sad heart,or be patient and understanding even when my last nerve is shot... I know I can help make a difference. Although we have become a society full of technology and gadgets,if we all stay mindful of our humanity, maybe stick to the golden rule of 'treating other's the way we want to be treated', life as we once knew it would slowly return..
I loved the 'karma bus' theme..
I would surely volunteer to ride along to help spread the word of great karma,
love the visual of Fluff and Firm too. thanks again Doc for helping to keep it real..
Raining fast and furious here,
Mother Nature is awesome.
Best wishes to all... thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts,
keep up the STOMP dance !
hugging my angels, sign me,
A. ♥

My reading and retention skills have been compromised since a small child. A. D. D. has plagued me in school and into adulthood.
I re-read the message on Wed. blog and missed the point, BUT I had real fun making up the visual bus and it's occupants, colorful, musical and spreading love & Joy.
I will concentrate more on the subject when my comments appear.
Seriously, I am FIRM on that.
