Time to be watching for the Blue Moon

BLUUUU MOON
coming Aug 31, Friday!
Get your calendars circled
and ready to gaze at the moon
which may be a welcomed relief with all the news and hurricanes and RNC hot air, along with local news taking up our time and brains!
Nope it won't be actually blue unless you are wearing those blue tinted shades of yours,
but it will give us something to think about since it only happens once in a "blue moon" we're told!
It's our last chance to see it for maybe three years according to the experts; so we don't want to miss that now do we?
I do like the term
"blue moon"
for it is much better than being told
"well folks we get an extra moon this year, this month"...
That just doesn't sound quite as exotic in my mind somehow!
Sort of like getting an extra helping of peas somehow.
But,
a BLUUU MOON, now that is something to get with,
just think, if the right particles or dust happen to move at just the right time, indeed there is the chance for a blue hue to gather at just that moment depending on if you blink or not!
Today we call a blue moon the second full moon in a month, and for those folks who work and who are on the roads, and particularly for those in health care and human services
and the world of caregiving
it is a time to be mindful
as full moons seem to change things and people!
Not always in the best way I might just tell you, as moods and swings just are often like monkeys in the trees doing remarkable things and saying things that leave one wondering
"is the moon full again".
Well here we are, the week of so many happenings and on Friday
we will have
the BLUE MOON
to end out the month of August!
I'm thinking folks will be out with their camera's hoping to get the best shot of this blue moon, and have read where there are others interested in seeing them.
So dust off your lens and keep this in mind;
"If you snap any good photos of Friday's full moon and would like them to be considered for a future story or gallery, please send them to SPACE.com managing editor Tariq Malik" at tmalik@space.com.

That just may be quite fun to see, photos from all over the place sent to space.com
and the blue moon of Aug 31~
...
Ah but for drive-ins and blue moons
as we hear that drive-ins are making a come back.
Life in all its splendor as today the sun is shining and the pool is still where I drained it for the most part, we did not get the harsh rains and winds here.
Yet,
our concerns and prayers are there for those who are bracing for the impact by Issac in LA and we hope for safety to all.
...
As we get ready to say so long to August, may we prepare to welcome September with all that we have to get us ready for fall, and yet many of us have to shake our heads and wonder
"where did summer go so quickly"
...
Prayers are going up today to those in Baltimore where a 15 year old returned to the first day of school with a gun and shot a student but was then grabbed by a teacher and managed to be contained with help until first responders arrived.
The 17 year old is critical; other students are badly shaken, and a teacher showed tremendous courage
on the first day of school
where kids go to learn.
They sure got a fast and potentially deadly life lesson yesterday
one that will imprint on their minds
for life.
Thank you to the educator for finding the courage to stand up
and who was successful in stopping this kid...
how did he manage to get a firearm (*shotgun*) last word was into the school?
...
Be safe out there dear ones
the
BLU MOON IS ON ITS WAY

Hello Dr. Sherry and friends. How many times have we heard, and said the expression "once in a blue moon?" Yes, indeed, been at this job for now 31+ years and most of us in the medical field know when that full moon is showing strange things happen, people change, more tragic events happen, things out of the ordinary. We have all seen it time and time again and expect. I make the calendar for our department and I always note the full moon each month. I think I will try to see this "Blue Moon" Friday and sure glad I won't be at work.

I hope your ear is feeling better Dr. Sherry. I am glad that Isaac seems to have moved away but holding those in prayer that may be in Isaac's way now.

Take care friends. Have a Terrific Tuesday and a peaceful day counting your Blessings.
/Sandy*
