Honeymoon Island with KellyTwowolves!

Well we had quite the day, Kelly TwoWolves worked on me with D.E.T. and it was a wonder (direct transference of Energy)... I am already feeling the difference of her healing presence, of her body work on me here. I wanted to share our town, our beach and beauty with her yesterday and figured no place like Honeymoon Island to begin! So off we went to have a walk on the beach and to dip her feet in Gulf and look at the beauty.
Little did I know ... it would turn into a "shopping spree of Twowolves and the shells and the rocks" heeehe
Oh we had the best of times; quiet times, times of sharing rocks, shells, wonder, and such laughter. It was discovered in quick order that I had forgotten the necessary "bags" for gathering as she began to find treasures from the waters and their gifts... And it was then I became her "bag"! Lucky for her she had NO pockets, while of course I had several on my shorts, so I became her human mule aka the "bag" on legs, as she made frequent deposits along our walk and discovery! Oh we did have the best of times there as we strolled past the rocks and into the waters of Honeymoon Island.
Honeymoon Island is a most beautiful beach here in Pinellas County and always ranks in the tops of beaches. It also offers a ferry to transport folks over to Caladesi Island as well. The park is 385 acres (1.6 km2) in land area with 2,400 acres (10 km2) submerged and 4 miles (6 km) of beach. We now have to pay $5.00 to enjoy her, yet it is well worth it, as it is always beautiful and maintained by the park folks there and oh what beauty.
The history is lovely as well.
Honeymoon and neighboring Caladesi Island were originally part of a large barrier island that split in half during a major hurricane in 1921. The waterway between the islands is known as Hurricane Pass.
According to the Florida Park Service, Honeymoon Island was introduced to the American public in the early 1940s through newsreels and magazines. The advertisements promised undiscovered pleasures for newlyweds. According to the Dunedin Museum, located in Dunedin on the mainland which lays claim to both Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island, Honeymoon Island was formerly known as Hog Island. In the early 1940s, honeymoon-type huts were built on the island for vacationing, and the name was changed. Many of the popular cast members of the Wizard of Oz (1939), including the "Lollipop Guild" midgets (dwarfs) vacationed in these facilities to help to publicize their availability. World War II began and the thatched huts fell into disuse. The structures were torn down as the island was turned into a state park. However, the name stuck. A causeway leading to the island was constructed in 1964.  The very north part of the beach is known to sport some nudists but I've yet to see any as I look for shells or maybe I just always have my head down! LOL
And oh boy did we have our heads down yesterday as my pockets became heavy and bulging and I realized that I was spending a lot of time trying to "hike them back up on my waist!"
Oh it was a grand day for shelling! As you can see we had our heads down, bent at the waist and sometimes on our knees in our discoveries of all Mother Ocean had brought for us! And did I mention "I was the bag of TwoWolves"? Oh we laughed and shame on me for failing on bringing plastic bags...
And the treasures, as we walked in the Gulf warm waters and I let out a holler, "Ohhh there is a sand dollar, quick come"  She arrived in time and there it lay, a live sand dollar for her to behold!
After admiring this beauty, after thanking the Sand Dollar for the gift of its presence TwoWolves walked and took it further out into the waters to safety... while thanking Creator for the opportunity to allow her to see the only one that had allowed her to view, to touch and to place out of harms way on our walk. Oh the joys of this day...
Yes, she had the joy of HoneyMoon Island and she is loving it... Now wanting to be sure we have bags and return to the wonders of the Gulf waters between seeing folks here in Florida and enjoying our times together. I'll be sure to take bags next time as I know know there are only so many rocks and shells pants and I can carry before pants on hips become "pants on the ground" as we approached the car and my sweet sissy was no help to me... instead she became so very hysterical that she could not move, could not breathe and laughed herself into paralysis as i had to lean against the car to keep my shorts from falling around my ankles at Honeymoon Island!
Getting full here!

So then, how are you today?

We also found this rock... Rocky Raccoon Face, and yes we had to get this one too!
Isn't that just beautiful?

Oh the gifts of the waters, and the gifts of laughter to fill you up on this most remarkable day.

May the blessings of all things be yours as you move through your day into grace and great things...

Hello Dr. Sherry and Kelly Two Wolves also. Wonderful and beautiful pictures and words. Loved hearing about Honeymoon Island the history and the beauty there. Would be a lovely place to spend some peaceful time in the sunshine and walking on the beach. The rocks and shells must be beautiful. Good thing you did wear shorts with big pockets Dr. Sherry LOL☺. I loved the Sand Dollar. Have only seen pictures of them in the past and read the "Legend of the Sand Dollar." Very pretty and interesting. Loved seeing the pictures of you two wisdom keepers, spiritual leaders and heart friends enjoying your time on the beautiful beech in the sunshine. I long for warmth and sunshine and time away. It will happen one day I hope before long.
Well, got to get busy here. You two have a delightful day and prayers that your time together will bring joy and memories that will last forever and healing for you Dr. Sherry. Take care /Sandy♥

What a wonderful day you are having. I can feel the tingle of the feet hitting the Ocean. Longing myself to walk on the beach someday soon. Looking for the shells brings back memories of hours spent bending over and looking at the beauty of each shell and rock. Sneaking sand back in the suitcase to bring back to Virginia. Still got some in a vase with a shell or two and a mermaid. I am so happy you both are making memories for years to come. Have fun, run in the sand and let the breeze blow thru your hair. Wear those baggy pants and soon you will be singing Pants on the ground. ha. Having a lovely day here in Va. with time spend walking thru the trillion of leaves at the LA Cabin on the river. Feels like a teenager skipping in the leaves and throwing them in the air. Remember when you used to cover up in them in the back yard and Granny would throw them on you. You would give her the rake and tell her to rake. Bet she racked for at least 10 seconds. Lol. Have a wonderful day and a great week. Enjoy, and sing Lee Ann Womack song while on the beach. Prayers going out to Yvonne and Billy Ray, to Evelyn and all those who are going thru times of healing. Blessings to all.
