Good morning SUN, it's Friday, and the coffee is hot, the pot is full and today's blog is a long one, I feel it coming on...
Lily and the Black Bear and Little HOPE are just giving the two-leggeds a fit; krumpled kleeenex are around computers, on floors ~ red eyes, snuffy noses and support virtually is sweeping across the wireless ~
HOPE is climbing trees, hollering her celebrations of life, of spring and learning to
STOMP!

Chris in NY is headed to see the surgeon for what promises to be good results... what is hoped to be a grand NY "talking to" on her vacuuming antics and cleaning of ovens as well.
<><><>

Now I am thinkin... Jill may just be feeling awesome today... I sure do hope so!
You know there is strong connection to the healing, the protection and feelings of the energy of positive thoughts, love, hope in healing and the North American Bear... thought I would share some of that with you today!

Don't really get why humans would want to hunt them though... not in these days of supermarkets, clothing stores an such... those days of hunting for food, for furs, for necessity are long gone... as are the days when hunters ask the four-leggeds and winged ones, and swimming creatures for forgiveness, and for permission prior to such activities and made sure to use all, and to express gratitude...
Again, different times, different folks I guess.

The Cherokee have often seen the Black Bear of the "Smoking" Blue Ridge Mountains, as a symbol of a guide or as a spirit guide, an elder and an ally to the Cherokee people. Even seen a couple here in Florida! The fire is always burning … always …

Tales are told revealing their personal relationship with the bears in both the spirit world and in the physical world. The Cherokee not only revered the Black Bear as a spirit guide and personal totem, the black bear was also a resource for clothing, bedding, food, oil or grease, bone tools and jewelry-like adornments. A bear skull with hide could be used as a headdress while other items such as claws or robes of hide could be worn or used in their ceremonial practices, or worn as a sign of achievement by brave warriors or hunters ~ all was revered, permission was asked before kills, connection to the great bear was wept over, celebrated, all was used, all were grateful for the sacrifice made.

There's a Cherokee legend that tells of one Cherokee clan who called themselves the “Ani Tsa'gu hi”

. Their tale is of an unusual quest for their entire tribal clan. It is told that a young boy of the clan kept disappearing into the forest only to return to the village a little hairier each time. The elders of the tribe ask the boy what was going on with him, why did he keep disappearing from the village, from his family, from his clan. After much thought the youngster told them respectively, that he had been spending time with the bears of the forest sharing their foods and ways, He went on and told the elders that those bears had plenty of food and that the rest of the tribe could join him rather than go hungry but first they would have to fast in order to prepare for this wonderful transformation. The elders did not scold the boy, they did not judge him, the took what he told him under advisement, they took it to council, they took it to the greater circle.

Informing the other tribal clans, this “Ani Tsa'gu hi” clan chose to follow the boy and leave the human world of struggle and hunger behind and live forever with the Black Bears in their abundant forest.

Upon their departure from the known world of Cherokee towns and villages, the “Ani Tsa'gu hi”, went and said “so long” to all the other Cherokee clans of their departure, "We are going where there is much food. Do not fear to kill us, for we will be ever alive. "

It's not hard to imagine that there are some Cherokee living in the mountains and in the cities around the country today, who think/know descendants of the “Ani Tsa'gu hi” clan that might/are still  living in the mountain forest as Black Bears. There are also tales of how humans might be the descendents of Black Bears losing their fur and changing their ways ~ ah there is always HOPE!

So there you go…

A Friday filled with thoughts sparked by Lily the Black Bear and a little one named HOPE ~  Keep the faith all you fans of Lily and HOPE... they are not gone... they are within each of us, and all around that there den... you can believe they won't stray too far for too long with all the love they have received.
All are welcome to join me on my fan page as well! (hint hint)

Good Morning everyone--Drses is so silly she knows I haven't done any re-modeling -I didn't bring any of my tools with me. What I did bring was all of your love and support. I may make jokes about the surgery and any thing thrown my way, BUT make no mistake-this hurts like hell and I don't do anything I think will mess things up--"cleaning" the oven involved pushing a button on the stove! Vacuumming the floor -it was a small hardwood floor and I did it with the arm that had no nodes removed from.(the "GOOD" side). So I may sound like I have taken this all in stride, but I really haven't and I am so grateful for the love and support from all of you!! I may have some news today--I have to go see the Doc and I probably will be getting preliminary pathology on the nodes.I'll let you all know. HAVE A GREAT FRIDAY.
