RAINY DAY TO FLY HOME TO FL

A QUICK THOUGHT
BEFORE LEAVING  FOR THE AIRPORT
It rained all night last night...
the thunder rolled, the lightning cracked here in Maryland on my last night with my girls. Fitting somehow.
OLIVIA was awesome  once again on the soccer field  I will tell you, Nana's girl is a force to be reckoned with to be sure.  Often looking over to the side lines and giving Nana the ole' fist over the heart and then fast and fierce arm extended and finger pointed to the Nana power move with a smile!
It just does not get better than that kinda love and observance of passion on a field...

Then we were off to more fun, more dancing in the rain singing, humming the tune to "Rocky" ~
Finally home to "re-pack" the Nana... not an easy feat!

We were treated to quite a light show with the lightning and sounds of deep thunder, as we commented on the night passing far too quickly for our likes.
It is now time to rise and shine, and make our way to BWI, where parting is always difficult.
This is the part I dread, the crocodile tears of my sweet girl always rip my heart a bit...

Last night After the game we were confronted by the reminder of ugliness for a bit, confronted by the reality that we must protect our children always... We were reminded that there are bad and disrespectful people in the world, and once again we must always
"do the right thing"... didn't I just think about that? Interesting how spirit prepares us sometimes,..

"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment" {Ralph Waldo Emerson}

The Fire Is Burning Brightly, the embers are hot for many, with thoughts on the wind of HOPE, healing and strength...
Have a great Monday
STOMP
Warpaint is on, join me in thoughts for those who need you those who need to be held up

The angels are surrounding you and holding you in their wings of comfort always

hotchau

Time to fly,
time to soar with the Eagles and play in the clouds
but
don't forget your way home

Gotta run hug my girls

In a similar quote:
“To be nobody but yourself – in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you like everybody else – means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight – and never stop fighting.”

E.E. Cummings
1894-1962, Poet

I love ee cummings....this was actually the quote I used next to my Senior portrait in High School...oh so many many years ago!

Life is so much harder when you try to be what you think someone else wants you to be...when you deny yourself and put yourself into a mold that someone else has chosen. It's like trying to put a square peg in a round hole....doesn't work right.

Have a safe trip home Sherry.....Loved seeing you while you were in town.

Blessings to all
Lizzy

Glad you had a wonderful trip to the D C area,
mixing business with pleasure & family.
Hope safe and sound, you have arrived home
to loved ones in Fl. Four leggeds probably
leaping to the ceiling!
Rough weather gives way to beautiful week to come. Keepin' on keepin' on: STOMP FIRM

Love that spirit Lizzy. Would be nice if this kind of wisdom could be a part of every teens life in high school. Some people never grow past their peer pressure stage. I like it that this morning everything seems so still, after that storm yesterday. It's clean, and quite and the smells of the wet earth are perfect. I guess the birds liked it too, their is a chior fo birds singing this morning.
Start this week out STRONG, BE HAPPY, BE WELL.

Nobody in my Happy-Place today except the brightest smiles, the lightest hearts, and the most upbeat souls walking! It's a good day to be alive. It's a great day to have best friends. This is a perfect spring day. This day deserves a Hallmark name, like a National Holiday. Wound up tight as a drum and STOMPING into this week slap happy silly. Full of life and love and hope and HAPPINESS.

Again, safe home friend! If only pressures from family and friends didn't try to mold us. I was reading last night that at the age of 59 Tom Petty is going back on the road again..Interesting article, his father NEVER wanted him in music...sounds like he wanted him to stay at home, fish, hunt, etc, good ol' boy from Gainesville, just like Dad. But Tom fought against it, even when his father busted his records, physically and mentally abused him at a young age. Tom STOMPED to the beat of his own bass guitar, and because of Tom Petty, our world is a better place. His Dad did eventually listen to some of his music, and said he sounded okay, just okay. Bet if you ask the vast majority, they would resoundingly say-Yeah!, so glad he Stomped!! Everything outside looks so crisp and beautiful after our own heavy rains last night, enjoy the sun, the fresh air, the FEELING of your heartbeating....then STOMP!

In a similiar quote by, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe: " Just trust yourself, then you will know how to live."

We are really quite extraordinary when we do not look to others for their opinions to feed their narcissistic tendencies. Trust in your own self esteem, for you my child are your own best resourse!

Another great quote by : ---E. E. Cummings
" The eyes of my eyes are opened."

Cummings taught me to only stomp if need be, have not had the occasion to yet. Perhaps, some day. Goethe teaches to be true to oneself, that I will always be!

Interesting: "...when we do not look to others for their opinions..." Isn't that what we're doing here on the blog? Looking for support/opinions? Opinions are what dialogs are made of..it is how we communicate our different perspectives to each other, and by doing so, maximize our own views of things. Everyone, I believe, is narcissistic to a point. And I think we all need to be at a certain level.

We are all simply the sum of our experiences, and those experiences include exposure to the opinions of others and our reactions to them. For instance, one person's opinion could sway your own...but it could also solidify your own stance on a subject.

Absolutely, trust yourself....but don't close yourself off. No man is an island...we are all connected....

hello... missed the read this morning.... catching up a day late...LOL... seems how my life has been flowing lately....
I totally agree with all of the opinions... what is interesting to me is the differences molded together make us all one in the same spirit...LIVE STRONG AND TRUE TO YOURSELF...
STOMP on those who do not accept diversity of opinion and beliefs.... I extend my sympathies to those who are closeminded...... Have a wicked cool week...

I smell Holiday Cake.
Thought we were past all that. Hummm

The root of the word "Holiday," is Holy Day.
Food or cake for thought.
Continuing the poetry theme:
"Before I built a wall I'd ask to know
What I was walling in or walling out" ------
Robert Frost
