Reunions are Awesome!

Hello Spirit Land
Up Up and Away I Flew
and
The Party Was About To Begin

Reunions are wonderful... the hugs, the kisses the squeals of delight... Yep, quite a wonderful feeling to be certain! So much to catch up on, so much to see and to do ~ The energy of a 9 year old, the energy of the Joan, The Rosie dog ~ *~

The flight brilliant, the people awesome, the clouds wonderful... Life is a glorious bouquet.

"Life loves to be taken by the lapel and told: I am with you kid, Let's go." {Maya Angelou} And it feels like she was talking to us, who am I kidding, it feels like something I said to Olivia, maybe I did but in different words just this morning in fact ~

"Nana's with YOU baby girl, let's STOMP, LET'S ROCK AND ROLL INTO THIS WONDERFUL DAY"

Life need not take Olivia by the lapel... she is all over it, she is a force to be reckoned with; embracing each moment with life, with wonder and wild abandonment... she and her Mom so in love with the thought of each others' next thoughts and feelings... each new day and all its glory. Such a sight to witness and to be a part of.  We're off to watch a 9 year old take over the soccer field; off to DC to see the Cherry Blossoms and the sights, sounds, smells and to people watch ~ What fun it will all be.

So OK, here's my thoughts for what they're worth...

I was thinking about those little and ever so sweet four-leggeds that I left behind; their sweet and loving eyes of wonder... we really could learn so much from them!

Perhaps we would do well to never ever pass on the opportunity to go on a JOY RIDE... doesn't really matter where, just go and enjoy the experience!

Perhaps we should roll and frolic for no earthly good reason, with wild abandon... or start our day with a human like bark, perhaps a howl at the start of the day and a run around the house or the pool coming ever so close to the edge and just squealing with delight ~ even before the sun rises to get our juices flowing for the day!

Maybe we should let instinct take over with those that we meet and either like them right away or keep a healthy distance ~

Perhaps we should EAT with true gusto and enthusiasm... rather than with criticism and chore like mannerism

NAPS are good, maybe we should take more naps and rise with more energy and happiness to greet the person we love ~

Just maybe when out we should fully experience the sights and wind on our faces with full out intensity...

I DO NOT recommend sniffing those fire hydrants though... some things are reserved solely for the four-leggeds!

Have you thought of the feelings associated with touch lately? Perhaps we should remember the benefit of hugs, of touch of kindred and safe touch by others and the connection.... sure seems to work with the four-leggeds!

It would serve us well to not bite when a simple but well meaning growl would do just as well.

When feeling happy.... DO A HAPPY DANCE, MOVE YOUR ENTIRE BODY, WIGGLE, WAGGLE, PUT YOUR WHOLE ENTIRE BODY IN IT~!~

When someone is hurting/having a bad day, learn from the four-leggeds: just be near at hand, sit close if you can, say nothing... just be close, close enough that they can reach YOU for comfort... sound familiar? those four-leggeds are sooo smart!

The four-leggeds' they don't hold grudge matches, they stand by when others bail out... unconditional love... Perhaps we have much to learn... if we but open ourselves to the lessons.

If what you want is buried ... keep digging until you find it!!! It's there, you know it is... DIG A LITTLE DEEPER....
once you dig it up; whatever it is, you may just decide you no longer want or need it! But that's all right too, at least you will then know that, it will no longer have your time or attention, you can move on, knowing you took the time, saw it through and finished it, whatever it was!

Oh, yes must not forget this on hot and sunny days DRINK LOTS OF WATER AND FIND A SHADY TREE TO REST UNDER...  and when it's in your best interest, might want to practice good manners and obedience... haha

Wonder what those little four-leggeds are up to today without me???? Can you say "SLEEP"

I feel rather certain that they are fine, just fine... and as for me... well I'm with my girls off for a wonderful adventure I am quite certain!

Signing off now in beautiful Maryland with Olivia who knows what we may end up doing today ~

The fire is burning here though, and yes, the embers are hot with thoughts on the wind to all ~ of HOPE, healing and well wishes... for those "you know who you are" you are never ever alone... you are in the arms of the angels...

Love to have a private joke running in my head. When I hit a bump in the road today jsut know that on my face will be an ear to ear smile. I'll be imagining myself interpreting the world through the eyes of a puppy!Grab a picture of the Cherry Blossoms for us Doc.
Best day to everyone. Stomp on!

YES, IT IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY HERE IN MARYLAND, CAUSE WE HAVE THE "NANA" ALL TO OURSELVES. GUESS SHE FORGOT TO MENTION THE JOY RIDE I TOOK HER ON COMING HOME FROM THE AIRPORT - ONLY I COULD TURN A HALF HOUR TRIP INTO ALMOST TWO HOURS. I WAS SO EXCITED THAT SHERRY WAS HERE I KEPT PASSING MY EXIT, OVER AND OVER AGAIN, BACK AND FORTH ON 95, NORTH , THEN SOUTH, THEN NORTH AGAIN. BUT DID WE GET UPSET, ANGRY, AGITATED; NOPE, WE ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. ROCK ON !

Happy Friday everyone--today is a good day--drains are gone and am just waiting for the final test to be done so that I can come home-they told me two weeks and I will know.....big STOMPING going on here..am going to a breast cancer dinner tonight with the Doc's--they want to present me to a bunch of people here that have money so the research can go on...the surgeon calls me his poster child for recovery--he wants me to speak to these other Doc's and others about how I did in the days after surgery. Do you think I should tell them about making the bed? or vacuuming the floors? Don't want to trivialize anything but I keep thinking about the Sherry and stomping, also about the lemonade. Well anyway, have a great weekend. I'll figure it all out by tonight.....

POOR LITTLE 4 LEGGED, SNIFFING AROUND, SCRATCHING ON DOORS, WHININY. OH NO, I THINK THEY ARE SLEEPING, TAKING A VACATION AND EATING EVERYTHING THEY CAN PAW. ENJOY THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS, RED BUD TREES, LILACS AND THE WONDERFUL SMELL OF SUMMER. MOST OF ALL HUGS AND KISSES TO OLIVIA AND JOAN. HAVE A GREAT TIME AND LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF YOUR VISIT.

Congratulations Chris, on speaking to the docs and on the lightening speed of your recovery. You are amazing. YES, tell them everything you did. It's not trivial, it's really about your "headset" going in. You were/are determined to do well, and you have. Plus you have an awesome band of angels that are very powerful. You go girl! Lots of Love and yipee on the approaching home comming.

WoW Chris!, you are incredible! Show them docs, and the world how to vaccum up illness, and stand up to it and STOMP it! You are the "face" of cancer, and you are in it's face! Keep up the good work girlie! Joan, GPS..., or not if times are good! Trust you are enjoying every moment, savoring every second. DC watch out! Get ready to buy the best book from the great Doctor~hope and healing, from the heart and life (lives)of real people! Be safe friend, enjoy, soak up all the good! Thank you for the ongoing kind thoughts for my Shawna...probable rain showers, but not monsoons like last year, winds up to 10 mph. Day 1 should be tailwinds, day 2 (toughest day) crosswinds... Shawna is tough as nails ready to go, let's make MS past tense! And the FUNdraising is going well...have more already this year than we have ever started a race with! Yee Haw!
