C'MON INTO THE LIGHT ON THURSDAY

Coming Into the LIGHT

APRILS FOOL DAY 2010
No joke

Let the light in, always. Always look to the light, to the rays of HOPE, of the promise . . .

Good morning Thursday, good morning indeed ~ ~ ~

The little seed huddled in the dark is protected from the cold. It germinates silently in the dark, moist soil. I've watched, I've planted them myself... tamped the ground and forgotten or just trusted that when the time is right... the warmth of spring and once the light and warmth found just the proper timing... Those little seeds would find their way coming into the light ~

Just when ready, the warmth of the newly strengthened sun brings it forth to the surface, to form a bud, grow a wee bit stronger, soak up the light and eventually burst forth and bloom. Often surprising me... with its growth, with its beauty and its announcing itself! "

I AM HERE, I HAVE FOUND MY WAY INTO THE LIGHT, NOW WATCH ME, ADMIRE ME, ENJOY ME AS I GROW!"

Speaking of growing... Lily the Black bear and cubbie HOPE left the den yesterday and were gone, and gone, and gone... More than 800 viewers watched the den cam more than 16 hours and it was "empty" no girls! They were seen 25 feet away cuddled up sleeping... They are getting out and about! HOPE is learning to climb trees, is exploring, is coming into the light... Leaving us at computer screens, going through "Bear Withdrawal" and tears were splashing across cyperspace yesterday... She is growing, moving and exploring and "we just are not ready"... sound familiar??? http://www.bear.org/
to read and see the den, Lily and HOPE I hope!

There are times when you must plant a seed and wait.

Sit quietly and let nature nurture the seed. For by doing nothing, the seed will germinate and bring forth it’s bloom.

We do indeed reap what we sow.  Seeds sown with turmoil, misdeeds, trouble,  are thwarted in their growth if not tended and nurtured.

When life's' circumstances of pain, illness, grief or loss and trauma are sown in seeds, they germinate at their own pace, requiring many hands to support their care and tend to their nurturing.

For each journey back to the light is unique. There is a season for everything. And so it is with grief. We cannot rush the seasons, nor dictate their length. We must allow the seasons to come, and to change. Just as grief can be a long dark night, eventually the sun will rise again. The hope for today and for a better tomorrow will return.

Slowly perhaps, but the hope flickers dimly at first, then grows stronger over time. Then the time comes where one realizes the need to choose their path into healing and healthy ways of being and then doing . . . and so it is.

The message being.

Lend a light. Be the light, for someone in the cold dark space of loss, grief or depression. That space moistened many tears, that table covered by krumpled kleenex.

They too will benefit from the pull the light has on all of us. Provide them with warmth and light. \

A waiting bright space where they can feel the warmth. This is in my opinion best done with a warm smile, a cup of coffee, a gift of your time, a gift of your caring friendship. A copy of Healing Heartaches with a note saying to read it when the time feels right to them, a message saying that you have read it, what it meant to you or to others along the way... But not just Healing Heartaches; there are many great reads that speak to the heart... What are some of your favorites; books or sayings that touch your heart and fill your soul ? Share them with a friend who will benefit. Just speak from your heart, or refer them to someplace or something that will.

We do not know the moment when the light will reach them. So stay strong, be patient, and just offer caring and support.

For many, the grief seed is planted deep.

The flower cannot be jerked form the soil on demand, nor can the heavy hearted be dragged from their grief, but must be coaxed by warmth, and light and time. Gently nurtured…. try to not give the answers ... just listen compassionately to the stories and the questions... Heart already knows the answers . . . It needs no interpretations, just to hear self ...

And so my friends, provide the light. Gift the warmth of your caring and nurturing to someone in pain. Be not demanding, nor dismissive of the very real sorrow and the desire to linger longer in the comfort of grief. For when the griever is ready, you may have provided the light needed nudge them into the warmth of healing.

Happy April Fools day all - who ever invented such a day anyway? This is the best time of year, every day new flowers perking up all around us -LOVE IT- Remember to "stop and smell the flowers" sometimes I think we are all in such a rush we don't even notice the beauty around us - Parents are more in tune because they are constantly showing their kids this and that wonderment - the lesson is to keep that going all your life , enjoy every thing, every moment! have a fabulous Day !

Amazing day, amazing thoughts in today's blog. Late to read but thank you for writing. Heard there is some good news in the offing. Come on, share it, please. You know I'm not gonna tell it for you. I don't know everyone mentioned today in the blog but I join with Dr. SES in sending warm thoughts and caring. To each on a new journey, may you walk softly with all of us beside you in spirit. This group "outsdhines the sun" Now that's alot of light. Good to have some natural light out there today to assist those who must light the sky when nature holds out on us.
It's a GREAT day!

OMG, that picture is beautiful. Have never see that kind of flower. What is it? I miss Lily and Mom on the den cam. Guess they are being called into the sunshine after the cold weeks up north. Wish there was a few more cameras outside the den so we could continue to share this amazing experience. Takes my mind off all the serious stuff that holds my attention during the day. Healing to all those mentioned today. Healing for your body, and your spirit.
I am sending prayers on the breeze.

You know, first I want to thank you Dr. Ses and Dorothy for being a huge part of that circle "family of choice", then tell Andrea to have a safe trip, peaceful,easy-going family time, making some good memories I hope. Chris for Pete's sake take care of yourself you wild woman! You can sit a bit, the Indian woman will tell you that! The oven will wait I'm sure...HEEL, heal girlfriend! To the others fighting their vicious wars, stand tall and strong, look to the heavens when your chin drags the ground, look to the light of day for strength...of course read the uplifting blogs here daily, and know you are loved and prayers are out there, everywhere for you all! Then of course sympathy to those affected by the senseless murder at Publix. Goes to show everyday is the gift...you the one we often take for granted! It's a crazy world out there...Obviously, You know the "one", good, bad... happy, sad... lonely, counseling, crazed person who keeps coming back for more. Hey person...Are you really trying to make a point or something??? Get real please...I am sending the most positive and warm thoughts that you just go away from this blog! Just like yesterday, be gone! To everyone else who does know what love is, enjoy this beautiful day, this beautiful life, and hug someone if you get a chance. Pay it forward, and just love life enough to care for those who can't or don't! Be the example you look up to, it keeps you looking up! Also asking you keep Carol's mom, Dorothy P. on your prayers in northwest Indiana. She has some diabetic leg/foot wounds that are being stubborn, maybe lots of prayers will make them go away for good! Thanks ya'll, specially you my Indian friend! Loved my b-day photo's!! :-} Laura

Laura, your message was so wonderful we got it twice. Did anyone see a squirrel? I hear you are MOST photogenic! How about asking Dr. SES to post photo of you sometime? Heard about the B'day at the Chateux (sp?) du Waffle. Only the best for you. You are a trend setter. Happy day after.

Time does march on and here we are day to day. Our hearts are aching for the loved one who left us so sudden. Why did he have to go and not tell me goodbye? Why did he have to go and I have to fight each day to LIVE? While fighting I have to help my friend who is going thru the same thing, but hers was a long time coming with her loved one so sick and frail for several years. We talk, we cry, we wonder why we have to go thru this, we wonder if it is worth going on?? Of course, then we think of our family, our wonderful children and the other family members and wonder what they would do without our wonderful advice, our thoughts and all of the things life has to offer. Yes, go our there and hug someone each day and let them know you care. Life is for the living. Everyday is a gift.
