Oh The Thunder Beings and The Rain

Step
just step today into the rains
let the thunder be
the drum
and
DANCE
EVERYONE JUST DANCE

That's what I'm thinkin
Dance on
In the Rain
In The Snow out there in The West
and
Somewhere know
SPRING
and
the
Rainbows
are touching your shoulder
and
the flowers
are working
hard
to emerge
from the
earth
to greet you with color
and
with
HOPE

The thunder beings can be a great reminder
the announce the spring
and
"celebrate life, new beginnings"
or
they can also bring about fear
and destruction.

Today
let's celebrate life
dance through your fears
and
honor the power of the thunder beings
dance in the rains
while remembering
storms never last.

I thank you
The fire is burning brightly here,
the sage is filling the air
prayers and thoughts to all who enter here
and those who know who they are.

thank you for holding Mom up
as she sees the Cancer doc in NC today.
STOMP

Walk in Beauty,
DRSES
HealingHeartaches
one beat
just as Mother Earths drum at a time

More from a dreamer
and reader of this blog
who worked her dream
and fought adversity through the storm

Okay then I'll be first to comment. Just a tidbit of info to think about. Of the 500 tribes, each one having different stories or versions there of, the older Lakota tell of when the thunderbeings return in the spring - they are young. Like the young everywhere their behavior can be unpredictable because they haven't learned to be purposeful. The clouds they're in often have several small thunderheads. They strike haphazardly, often racing across the sky before coming down and sometimes just fizzling out. As the seasons go on, by summer they gain strength and purpose and you can see them coming because they grown and their clouds are huge and their sound shakes buildings. By then they have become mature.

Our thoughts are with your mom today Bearly Bear.

My thoughts and prayers are with COB tonight as I finally have a chance to read the last couple of days blogs. Just lit a candle and am saying prayers and sending them in the wind for your Mom. I loved your description of Kansas! It sounded like you had a real good time there.
