Got my Eye on Ya!

Morning to ya, sitting here with coffee and birds
making their morning sounds
just enjoying the morning
before
flying into the day.

Wonder how birds like this get the total view with eyes that are spaced so far apart?
Views are wonderful, seems everyone has one
and
they remain to all be different on most subjects
but
the most wonderful thing is that
the lens in which each individual looks through is
as different as each unique individual
and their thumbprint.
We all see through eyes that are perhaps similar in views on some things
but
at times completely different on others
and
at times it reminds me of words!
Words that are used can be used
so differently, sometimes the same words used
soundly differently as well
depending on a person's tone of voice
or the intonation
or the circumstance.
I listen to many people as they talk about subjects of loss, grief, fear, and such things
and often notice
the views and lens of which they view the world and those in it.
Along with the words and the tones in which they are said.
One thing through the years that comes through
is that people seldom are able to really hear
themselves when they are speaking
in times of upset
or
disaster
or "perceived threat" and upset.
Views are skewed then, and stress is high
sometimes reminding me of the bird in the picture with wide eyes
and it makes you wonder
if it is possible to see clearly with eyes so far apart experiences so far apart separated by years or time
or circumstances, like the winged one,
thereby
walking in a straight line
or seeing things
lined up and put to order?
Guess the great news about birds like the one above is that they can fly above their situations and views
and
that seems to give them a
better view
of what is happening
once they have some distance from things
and gives their wide space eyes
a
better chance at viewing all from a
better distance!
Maybe that's it!
Perhaps that is the secret
we could learn from the winged ones
and
about views
on life and others...

We just need some distance and a better view
to understand and to realize
what we maybe are seeing up close that is confusing to us or not understood in the ways and words of others?

"Kids' views are often just as valid as the teachers'. The best teachers are the ones that know that." Morley Safer

So then
for today,
wherever you are
whether your view is that
of
limited sight
or
underwater
or
your office surroundings
or
the great mountains with snow caps
or
the most beautiful ocean or gulf
or
the casinos of Vegas
May you have the vision
to
speak words
that are from the kindest place of your heart
to walk the path
that has been worn by those before you
with
clean hands
and
feet planted in
compassion
years before you.

The fire is burning brightly, the sage is filling the air
with thoughts and prayers of healing and hope
to all who enter here.

I find that many people lack mental filters. They say whatever pops into their heads and let it fly out of their mouths. Words can inspire, lift others up, hurt or crush. What makes us think that every thought has to be spoken before we process the event or our reactin to it. Walk a mile in the othe guys shoes mentally. It may take a few moments but at least the response will be thoughtful.
Birds live a precarious life, danger everywhere. They may have to take flight at a moments notice. I think their eyes are set so far apart so that they can see what's around them and take action quickly. We on the otherhand don't need to forage for food, peck in the dirt for worms, breed in twig nests, and catapult ourselves into the wild blue yonder just to survive. To come full circle, we have to much time tothink ugly thoughts and dip in other peoples business on a moments notice. Oh yea, one more thing.... most birds start each day with beautiful music. Maybe we should take alesson from our feathered friends. Hust sayin.

Today we're starting to create a new view of the kitchen. Soft yellow with a hint of peach on the walls, soft ivory white paint on the cabinets and 6 inch wide wood plank laminate on the floor. About every 15 to 20 years it's a good idea to change the view in your kitchen. (in this case the floor, age 27, will see it's first change) So there you go.

Good evening everyone-watched that video of the cat and the dolphin-that is probably the cutest thing I have seen in a long time with the exception of my grandkids-of course. Ah kids, when they are little, they don't filter anything they say or do-they learn from their parents..but I have found that some parents have given up their responsibilities and don't filter the children-therefore the kids grow up totally stupid and insensitive. what a world!-enough of a rant tonight--have to go..talk to ya soon L&H
