Just ONe Voice Can Make A Difference

I met this Handsome Devil

One Voice Can Make A Difference and this clown had a great voice~was quite funny too, and a super hugger! The coffee is great today, poured two cups just in case...
Time to dance on a desk, like Joe Graff told me he used to do On A Monday just to stir things up! Still think about that and laugh... Bet he is one of those great guys that has "one voice" that can change things... Last I heard ole' Joe is a Grandpa.. some little one is in for a treat!
I had a marvelous Sunday. Had a great conversation with a friend about voices; about conversations and listening and the power of words...
 and the power of "interpretation"

"I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees. I speak for the trees for the trees have no tongues." — Dr. Seuss

Your voice, my voice, one voice; can change the conversation. One voice can start the dialogue. One voice can ask the right question, or offer the right answer, at just the right moment. Everyone should have a voice in something bigger than themselves. Some cause. Let’s use our voices individually and collectively to raise the consciousness of those we interact with.
Is there an issue you feel passionate about?
Some lack of information out there that you could lend a voice to? Someone, or some group that has no voice? Can you be that voice in service of another? Can you be a voice and at the same time value the voice of others?

Just this week I found opportunities to lend a bit of expertise to others when their lack of knowledge, fact, info was causing a mole hill to loom as large as a mountain. I believe because I was able to shed a bit of light on the topic, a large issue was avoided.
Ever have this kind of experience?
Ever identified an injustice, and stepped up to the plate to advocate for someone that may not have known how to raise their own voice?
When we have knowledge, have passion about something important in our lives, it is easy to be the voice for others. When we have experienced something ourselves and know the pitfalls, sometimes we can clearly identify what another may need to know.
Ever notice that some people just don't listen or listen only part way?
Perhaps they just are too busy or hear only what they want...

Perhaps they are too sensitive to hear the "intention" which is really the same message that they are saying or that they feel, but they just don't or can't hear it that way... sometimes the voice or the issue is just not that important... or not that important to get worked up about any way!

We must always try to figure out that part... will it really matter in a year; in 5 days; 10 minutes even? Perhaps that is a good way to figure it out, a good way to decipher how worked up to get over it... What degree do you want to get yourself worked up, how much is it really going to matter in the grand scheme of things?

Sometimes we must take risks to open the dialogue. Or sometimes we must just let it go... realize that we are indeed lookin maybe to just "start somethin" and what is the point of that anyway... Life is short!
Sometimes I really think everyone should walk around with a small 19.95 tape recorder, you know one of those that is voice activated... and just record conversations... with others... then hit "playback"... I believe it would be amazing when people hear not the conversations that have been held, BUT the "tones of the voices" that are exchanged between loved ones on a daily basis...

But then there are the times that we must let our voices be heard individually and collectively:

To address an injustice, to advocate in behalf of someone else, or ourselves. It is worth it.
To sit quietly by and take no responsibility through our silence just might encourage the injustice, just might allow the inequity. We have seen that right here on this page haven't we? STOMP
We are not that kind of people to just sit and stand by.
We raise our voices where they must be heard.
We risk whatever the consequences are in behalf of the greater good.
Every great movement, every social advance started with someone brave enough to speak out, to move forward.
Remember Rosa Parks, Martin, John! "I have a dream"; "Ask Not What Your Country Can Do..."

"When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it" {Henry Ford}

It starts with one voice. Others may join the cause, may lend their voices: may fuel the fire, but someone, somewhere had to be the first voice ~ the voice for "good".

Well alrighty then... there you go... STAND UP!
STOMP... remember my friends...
YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST ~

Dr. SES: thanks for today's VOICE blog.
It is very true, all you said...........
My fortune cookie stated " something good will happen to you ". My voice helped an elderly resident in the community I live in. She has a language barrier & a slight stroke impairing her speech. No one took the time to "listen"
to her or HELP her. I helped resolve her
issue and she was grateful, thankful and sincere. She rewarded me in many ways and we are now friends & neighbors.
VOICE matters, HEART matters, TIME matters.
Put yourself in their place and the situation becomes different. Have a wonderful MONDAY
FLY home Chris, in between the rain drops.
TTFN: FIRM

Good Morning Dr. SES, I thought I would be the first comment this morning. That Irene must get up before dawn. It is raining here this morning as it did Fri., Sat., and Sunday. Supposed to have a chill in the air. The birds must still be sleeping or maybe they have that tape recorder and gonna listen to conversations and play back letting us know we were not listening when they were singing. Hoping for a great day to all and Cris on the Plane, The Plane. Bet she will be glad to hit her bed tonight. My Mom always said it is good to go away but it is also good to be back in my own bed. Have a great day to all and remember to smile when you pass a person this day. Blessings

Good Morning doc. Great Blog. Timely too. Have been considering taking a BIG risk with my voice. Just want to be SURE that this is the sword I am willing to fall on. Consequences....
Irene, what does TTFN mean? Driving me crazy trying to figure it out.Do tell. I personally don't look for fights, but sometines they just jump up at me. Not much sense in anyone fighting with me, the CAN NOT win. So there you have it. We are every bit as strong as we feel. Soggy mornin here. Will have to be a stand in for the sun! We can do it. Best to all today.

...CANCER SUCKS AND YOU KICKED IT'S ASS...WELCOME HOME CHRIS...MAY YOU SLEEP MOST SOUNDLY IN YOUR OWN BED TONITE.... talking of voice's....
meek and quiet like a mouse, a whisper in the
wind, there are messages to hear, if only we could listen...
without prejudice
or angst
ignorance and deaf ears
voices need not be loud
to be heard.... words are just words
without the tone of a VOICE...

prayers to all, wicked cool blog today !!!
