MS 150 IN TEXAS THIS WEEKEND & Strength

SHAUNA ROORDA
completes
100 miles
MS 150 TEXAS

Congratulations once again!

Laura was there at the finish Line
to meet her!
Yep exhausted, but there!!!

MS the cure is on its way
thanks to all these riders, their dedication
they will NOT stop.

Laura is safely back at home
and
yes she is exhausted, but I am thinking the smile
is just etched on her face with pride
of those at the ride
and that Shauna had enough strength
to hoist that bike over her head
amazes all of us!

"When you are required to exhibit strength, it comes." Joseph Campbell

So then, as I sit with my coffee and gaze at the photos of Shauna and Laura,
both warriors and both having the strength
of a hard weekend now behind them
with the MS150
I can't help but know
that the above quote fits them
and all the warriors of this
page
quite well!
MS
sucks
but we are hot on its tail
and will not stop
until it joins the history books
and from the sounds of things and what was
happening out there in Texas
there are many who are working hard
to make sure monies are getting to those
at the cutting edge research
to see that it happens sooner rather than later.
So then,
I am just tickled to life
that Laura is home
and
hope to see her real soon
and
hear all about it
once she is "recovered from the excitement"
and
now that she has "landed"
 I feel certain
they celebrated greatly
and
Shauna and Dixie slept a well deserved sleep
with a great massage scheduled for
Monday!
><

May your day be one of great strength
great gratitude and brilliance in all things.

As for me here, I am preparing for the next few months
that will take me to:
Baltimore, Montana, Denver, Arizona, South Dakota
and who knows where else!
"Keep walkin Dr Showalter, just keep walking"
and so it is good!
><

Have you had to talk to folks about insurance
finding insurance, changing insurance lately?
Oh boy, talk about patience and confusion
and the neurotransmitters of the brain
sending messages at warp speed!
haha
I was just wondering if
maybe throwing the phone in the pool would be the best answer, until i found Jonathan Constansa
with Liberty Mutual
and I think I just might ask him if he will join my family someday..
BUT
more about him tomorrow!

I have been in search of insurance as
COBRA is ending this month
and
find it no easy task,
but believe that too has been resolved,
but
have also
found a wonderful man (Jonathan)
who is saving me a bundle in
auto insurance!
Stay tuned for tomorrows' thoughts
once again
on
customer service that has
worked out more than grand
with a young man who
not only knows his "stuff"
but
is professional, courteous, and
has tremendous skills at explaining things
without giving me a headache!
"The Act of God designation on all insurance policies... means roughly that you cannot be insured for the accidents that are most likely to happen to you. If your ox kicks a hole in your neighbor's Maserati, however, indemnity is instantaneous."
~Alan Coren, The Lady from Stalingrad Mansions, 1977

And you know I like keeping it "real here"
I amy not give you what you "want"
but
you can count on me
to
keep it real !!!

Kelly TwoWolves out there in South Dakota
was to be travelling to Northern Va
for a special weekend,
but those plans have been now delayed
secondary to plans beyond her control
and
I'm sure the spirits have a reason for all.
So then
I'll keep all posted of the new dates for that
wonderful experience for VA, DC, MD
folks up there.

Prayers going up for those affected by the tornadoes
in the southeast and southwest of Virginia who now are coping with such profound sorrow, grief, trauma and destruction... we are thinking about you and hold your pain in our hearts, sending great hope to all affected by this and your loved ones.

Today friends, may you have the strength to look around you and find beauty, find strength, find all that you need to step into a day that you appreciate.

"There is [a] spiritual strength derived from the subjecting of the physical appetite to the will of the individual. "He who reigns within himself and rules passions, desires, and fears is more than king." If there were no other virtues in fasting but gaining strength of character, that alone would be sufficient justification for its universal acceptance." David McKay

The fire is burning and the sage is filling the air, with blessings on the suns rays to all who enter here, and many who do not even know that here is here!

How ' bout that FULL " Pink " April MOON last night? I will enlighten you with the story:
This name came from the herb moss pink or wild ground phlox, which is one of the earliest widespread flowers of spring. Other names for this month's celestial body include the Full Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon and among coastal tribes, the Full Fish Moon, because this was the time that the shad swam upstream to spawn.
GREAT picture of Mom and daughter after the 100 miles and still smiling ! Good luck with the Cobra. Happy Tuesday to all, I am coughing myself into needing a trip to the chiro. My back is NOT firm........EyeScream
