How am I you might just ask?
WELL,
I AM JUST SPIFFY~
I AM
FLAWLESS ON THIS FINE FLAWLESS FRIDAY
and I thank you for asking.

Lily the North American Black bear has topped 100,000 fans on facebook... yep, you read it right...
ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND FANS sit at their computer on Facebook and chat, watch, scroll with maddening speed to track, talk, argue, debate, coo, cuddle and wonder, worry and giggle over Lily and HOPE and the three amigos (black bears at the pond via live cam) and the research at the http://www.bear.org/
And little HOPE is a sly little one, who hides and watches Sue as she comes with food, and waits... and waits... and waits... some more for her to appear.

Gotcha good at the end of yesterday's thoughts didn't I?
heeehe... fired your neurons up like a holiday wishing you a wickedly wonderful Wednesday huh???
Isn't the brain marvelous?
heehe
Just couldn't help myself, how did you like that picture of our dancing and ever so elegant Laura with her birthday cake? Whew... ever so glad we chose "Chateau Waffle Haus" for that birthday... LOL

She's been selling muffins at hospice this week... making dough to cure MS she has... gearing up for this
CAR WASH ...
Me?
I've been working out all right.
Why just yesterday I was working out in the pool.
Having taken a break, deciding to work out on my tan, laying on my float in the pool, doing some "heavy reading" holding the book took more arm exercise... Fully engrossed in what I was reading and floating around in the sun... "working" on my tan...
When all of a sudden I felt "something" behind my neck and on my shoulder... glimpsing sight of "something" from way on the side of my eye...
"REMEMBER THOSE NEURONS AND THE INFORMATION HIGHWAY OF THE BRAIN"
so I immediately lept from the float into the water... thinking oh crap a WORM IS ON ME...
Book wet, me fast as the speed of lightning out of pool!
Don't know why, brain moved at my command.
Cleaned glasses, grabbed wet book and sat it down...
Looked for the devil worm in pool... when
when
and
oh CRAP
IT WAS
A SNAKE~!~!~
AND
IT HAD BEEN BEHIND MY FREAKING BEAUTIFUL NECK
READING MY BOOK OVER MY SHOULDER
OK ~ OK ~ OK
RELAX
STAY CALM
YOU ARE A WARRIOR
MAKE YOUR MOVE
YOU ARE A FIREWALKER
I calmly went and got the pool strainer and then went to the pool where the MONSTER was; by then relaxing and taking a swim...
and in a hot second SCOOPED him into my net...
I Walked with swift determination an eye on the huge monster all the time; to the door, opened it...
and threw him out...
THEN IMMEDIATELY LOCKED THE DOOR!
Returned to the pool and then looked for HIS sister before sitting down and noticed my heart was racing!!!
and laughed like a maniac realizing the odds of him opening the door that I had just locked were pretty slim!
Now I must mention it did NOT go unnoticed in my "BRAIN" that I had heard from my good ole Lily and HOPE loving one of the 100,000 original facebook fans of Lily Cathy Madden who just had to tell me her activities for the day... included taking her beloved grandchildren to learn all about SNAKES... which I responded by saying "YUKKY" to her on a post... she had also told me they were going swimming out there in Texas before going to see and learn about the SNAKES.... Soooooo, wonder if my good buddy had anything to do with sending this MONSTER VISITOR to me in my pool??? Just sayin...
And how was your day?

Yep our Brain is amazing isn't it?
All those neurons and wires and spaghetti noodles worked just fine for me in that moment in time, and in my fast association to my pal Cathy out there in Texas in that hot moment while my heart was just a pounding. Right even when my command to my brain was to lock the door... Well all but when I locked the door I guess.
At least I didn't carry through the next thought but threatened to put up a
NO TRESPASSING SIGN at the door for the snake.

wonder what Ellen would have done?
What would you do?
A couple of friends have weighed in that they would have pooped in my pool and others have said they would have just drowned...
Now both of those answers would have left a mess in my pool I'm thinkin' and much grief.

Did I mention the CAR WASH TO CURE MS...
SUNDAY JUNE 27
TIFFANYS FAMILY RESTAURANT
US 19
PALM HARBOR FL
0900 - 1PM
BUST SOME SUDS
WASH AWAY MS WITH US
$$$ DONATIONS TO CURE MS

Laura has MS
BUT
MS will never have Laura as long as Laura has all of us, and as long as Laura has the attitude of a dancing warrior ~
One who embraces life, love, laughter and knows deep in her heart that she controls her...
nothing or no diagnosis controls her.

"In this life you need inspiration or desperation"
 ~Tony Robbins ~

Remember Dr Seuss? Wasn't he just brilliant as brilliant can be? I do love me some Dr Seuss, bet he would have a lot to say about MS ~
"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go..."

The problem is.. with MS and the involvement with the brain... the neurons, the wiring... the feet in the shoes and steering yourself any direction you choose... you often don't get to decide which way to choose ~ In a "blink" you can become off balance, sway to the right or to the left, end up on your butt at a moments notice having fallen and can't get up... develop vertigo, optic neuritis, and and and an overall weakness that comes from a cross wire in the brain secondary to MS ...

WE GOTTA CURE THIS FOR LAURA AND THOSE 2.5 MILLION FOLKS OUT THERE.
and
A CURE IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER FRIENDS!
"Things do not change, we change" {Henry David Thoreau}

Let's BE the CHANGE!
STOPMP

We goin to WASH MS out come Sunday!

It's amazing how even in this song he had to go and involve the "mind"... LOL
Change your focus, change your mind, change your "state"
HAVE A PARTY... CELEBRATE!

BUT
Until then... let''s make a pact... how bout' we make the most of this day... let's just stretch out this evening... put a lot of hours into Friday evening and S   T   R   E   T   C   H
INTO SATURDAY.
A most relaxing and satisfying weekend of splendor.

NOW I happen to know of one NANNY who is ever so happy to see this day appear! Mom has huge plans to head out ALONE to her river home after a week of NANNY duties with Kamryn. Longing for her ALONE time... bet she is just giddy with excitement... wonder if she will be able to stand the quiet and the serenity of no little wound tight 8 year old wanting "a piggy back ride, a snack, a play ball with me, a will you, can I , do this, do that, let's go here, let's do this, c'mon will ya...sounds of laughter and hysterics including her own"....

"I like nonsense it wakes up the brain cells" ~ Dr Seuss ~
Guess COB's brain cells will get a rest this week-end...

I think we need to CELEBRATE TODAY... Just jump up from time to time, raise your arms up and CELEBRATE that you are alive, that you love and are loved, have been loved and have loved someone, something and have hopes and know that we will cure MS, we will fight to cure CANCER, and these godawful diseases...  That we will stand UNITED as people who know the joys and pains of living life to its fullest and we have the wonderful ability to CHOOSE our paths... and pray that we make the choice to choose to be happy and healthy and to love and laugh along the way, even through the storms that surely will find us....
The eagle soars overhead... but its beauty is only ours if we choose to LOOK UP.

Did you know...
Shrimp can only swim backward!
and speaking of swimming...
Granddaughter Olivia had her FIRST ever  swim meet...
SHE CAME IN FIRST PLACE IN HER FIRST COMPETITION!!!
That's Nana's girl!

Ellen has been quoted to say:
"I`d like to be more patient! I just want everything now. I`ve tried to meditate, but it`s really hard for me to stay still. I`d like to try to force myself to do it, because everybody says how wonderful meditation is for you, but I can`t shut my mind up"
Many of us have that problem with our minds not listening to us at times, and with MS it's really a problem when those darn spaghetti noodles mis-fire or won't let the neurons behave properly...
But with Ellen? Think she is just "hard wired" to be off the chain don't you? Gotta love her tho'
it's Friday and I gotta stop with these thoughts and get ready to answer the phone, she's sure to be callin any moment...
Wonder if she'll want to stay here?
Better clean up the toys from the four-leggeds so the place will look good for her, put on some jazzy music and take another look around to make sure that daggone snake is gone for good.

AS for bp today... just no words for my heartache for the gulf, Mother Earth, her sea life, the winged ones, the people...
MY OUTRAGE at arrogance, insensitivity,
 and greed.
Nuff said for today.

The fire is burning brightly and its embers are hot... Thoughts on the gentle breezes to all today.
Hope in healing ways for our GULF
and for all to know you are never alone (well maybe for a little while if you need
a respite like Mom)
But we are with you when and if you need us along with some powerful angels here...
FOR: Our beautiful Gulf of Mexico and all those affected/infected by this tragedy; our sea-life creatures, those living in and on the gulf waters and trying to make their livelihoods and provide for their families our prayers are with you and yours... Please help heal our Gulf...

I am still cringing. More than a book would have been wet. They would have heard me screaming in TEXAS. I read yesterday's comments, glad it was just not MY perception
of Dr. SES happy time writing marathon.
I so enjoy & look forward to reading in the early hours. The topic (s) are great, funny, and meaningful. STOMP MS or MS, STOMP

I am hroughly amazed that shrimp only swim backward. I just never know what the blog will hold. I am so EXCITED about the car wash Sunday. So determined to be a part of this fund raiser. SNAKES in the pool? That might be the last time I swam. Just the thought is to itchy for me. Congrats to little warrior Olivia on her swim meet and Coudos to Dot for surviving her week with Kam. Let's ROCK it out today. It's FRIDAY, FRIDAY, FRIDAY....

O.K. that is just not cool to tell me about snakes in the pool. You know, while growing up my family went camping every year for at least 2 weeks. Now mind you this was back in ancient time during the 50's and 60's. Mostly tent camping and toward the end Mom and Dad bought a little 15 foot trailer and there were us 3 kids and Mom and Dad in a 15 foot trailer. LOL! Well, we hiked, went to outhouses with daddy long legs lurking in droves in the corners, slept outside on cots and never was I afraid of snakes. Honestly we never saw any. O.K. well, maybe one. Dad had a snake bite kit and showed us how to use it if we needed it but nope never had any problems with snakes. Grandsons both had boah constrictor put around them at the snake show and I took pics with cell phone and kept my distance for sure. Ick! They loved it. I'll be stomping for sure everytime I go over to daughters house and go swimming with grandsons. Anytime you know of anyone out your way that wants to ride in the MS 150 I'd be happy to put someone up at my place. I'm just a hop skip and a jump from where they begin that race out here in Katy Tx. Stomp! Have a great day today. Off to get oil changed and then to take grandsons to see Toy Story 3 with tissues cause I've heard this one might require them.
