One Reader Says Call In The Women

Many Tongues Are Wagging
Some are Just Too CUTE

BP... NOT

Time for ACTION BP
SAVE OUR GULF

It's morning, coffee hot and good.
It's summer here; think we by-passed spring all together! Yep, around 2pm the Thunder Beings start playing each day while the sun is high, the heat... just HOT and grand for a swim in the beautiful so far gulf.

Speaking of our beautiful gulf...
Did someone let the big guys at BP know, oil and water don't mix?
Still spewing, leaking, pouring, rushing, running, infecting/affecting our Gulf of Mexico, the sea life, the people, the way of life we all love...

Apologies continue to come in on television via the head man of BP; folks and hotels continue to say they haven't received a check... the sea life continue to get filled with oil and life is threatened; folks aren't sleeping.

President Obama is getting ready to go on a tear and fly down there... ready to hold their feet to the fire he says. He is ready to take a STAND for the American People; the Gulf of Mexico, the American way of life that is being threatened.
He says he is going to put someone in charge of BP's very large checking account! And make them write checks too ~
Now won't that just be something?

Remember the Cherokee saying:
"Listen or your tongue will make you deaf"
wonder if BP is listening yet?

I feel badly for those little gas stations with the convenience stores... you know the ones that have nothing to do with BP but are suffering?
Somehow folks think by boycotting the gas that BP sells at those little stations they are really showing BP a thing or two... but in reality they are killing one of our own in the process... that entrepreneur has nothing to do with BP... they just are living the American dream and BP was the franchise that they picked in the process... Go on in and buy a candy bar or two... Tell them hello and you hate what they are going through, take a minute and let them tell you their story! Think that is called, "secondary fall out" during times like these...

The Obama administration has reached a preliminary agreement with BP executives that would see the oil company pay $20 billion over several years into an independently controlled escrow account to be established to compensate Gulf of Mexico residents affected by the disastrous oil spill.

The agreement was negotiated in a meeting at the White House on Wednesday morning, the first face-to-face gathering between President Obama and senior BP leadership.

That from the White House yesterday! Over several years?  What about today? Is this what was meant when our President said he was going to "kick ass"?

So maybe our reader is right... maybe it is time to bring on the women... Where does Mrs Michelle Obama stand on this issue?
Where are our great women out there? There are many I know that to be true... Let's call them out and get them involved, I think it's an idea whose time has come!

I cannot even imagine 5 Olympic size pools filled with OIL can you? And to think it keeps coming... keeps seeping, flowing, spewing into our gulf.
How ya sleeping at night BP? I know here in Florida we've been having some sleepless nights worrying about our beloved gulf, our fellow citizens who are wondering how they will continue to make their mortgages; continue on in generation old businesses that they are currently teaching their grandchildren how to take over...

Our President said HE will hold BP accountable for all costs and to "use everything we've got" in the federal response to the calamity. I think this is where he meant he is going to "kick ass"

Hours earlier, the scale of the problem widened dramatically when federal officials said in new estimates that the spill is at least 50% greater than previously known.
Obama, answering the catastrophe with an activist government philosophy, described a series of steps to overhaul federal oil industry oversight and to restore the Gulf of Mexico region...

My friends this is where we come in with the:
KEEPING THE FAITH, CRIES FROM THE HEART OF PRAYER, STANDING STRONG IN BELIEF, HOPE, SUPPORT, walking the beach and picking up any thing that looks like trash... and knowing that the Universe is on our side...

This is where we STOP COMPLAINING AND CRITTER-SIZING AND WORK TO BECOME A PART OF THE SOLUTION WITH OUR ATTITUDE... AND STOMP....

and BELIEVE... against all odds.... BELIEVE AND HOPE...

Environmental disasters tend to attract actors and celebs like cheap wine draws lushes. Weirdly, though, it looks like two-time Oscar winner Kevin Costner may actually have something of value to offer toward cleaning up the Gulf oil spill.
It is, however, all about as unlikely as the plot of Waterworld. A famous actor angered by the Exxon Valdez spill teams up with his scientist brother to come up with a cleanup solution, knowing it’ll be needed someday. Fifteen years later, oil gushes out of the seabed and into the Gulf as experts watch their deep sea robots and giant underwater domes fail to contain the spill. Suddenly, the actor, his brother and his scientists leap to the rescue with their new invention: a massive centrifuge for separating oil and water.
Far-fetched, to be sure. But it also happens to be true and BP has agreed to try it! So it just may be that Kevin and his brother are onto something here... STAY TUNED...

Yep, tongues are wagging, but they are not nearly as cute as the three in the picture; Kamryn, Olivia and ODE back in the day. Now someone needs to ask Olivia her take on all of this; after all she is a "green bean" at her school working to help the environment an all in the Chesapeake Bay...

Where are our women scientists and those bright bulbs in the White House and those bright women to manage BP money and give it out to the workers, the ones losing money hand over fist, the hotels/restaurants, the workers families who died that day, the sea-life... WE need to find these power women standing at the ready to help...

Really? A strainer to separate the oil from the water? I love that idea... Perhaps it doesn't have to be really complicated this capping thing... maybe just maybe it could be easier than they think... perhaps they just need to ask a woman ~\\

I've heard it said, "Behind every great man stands a WOMAN"
so maybe our reader is right...

Passion in this topic on so many levels. What ever happened to the tankers reported to be docked in Texas that were oil separators? Does Cosner actually have such a centrifuge ready, or just a blueprint for the device? Hooing someone comes up with a real working solution NOW. STOMP. Loved the gravy strainer idea too. Best to all as we wrap up this week and head into a new weekend. Friday on the way....
Congrats Cindy C on the big promotion. Believe in YOU. STOMP.

With the Valdez spill, thousands of workers were employed in the cleanup. Maybe the fols who can't fish right now could get jobs in the clean p effort. People must be needed for this cleanup too. A friend of mine's brother left a job at a gas station and moved to Alaska for 2 years and worked the cleanup. Learned all new skills, was well paid and a similar plan might work for the locals who are out of work. Just an idea.

Yep, send in the women... keep it real doc! Women, protectors of the earth; women carry the babes in the womb, have babies, raise em, teach em, give em the tools to make it out there... yes, some times they screw it up but on the whole... they do a fine job... and get a woman angry... "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"... and Mother Earth is Scorned, so let a woman get in BP's face and get this job done... Thanks Doc for providing a place to keep it real here...
HOPE someone is letting someone know of this page... bloggerschoiceawards.com I nominated it, but someone needs to let others know of it too... thoughts of all just call me grateful and someone who thinks a woman needs to be called in... Hey Oprah how bout YOU
