Hello Monday... Here comes da Fam From VA!

Look Out Florida
HERE COMES DA FAM
FROM VIRGINIA!
Due to arrive at 545PM
YIPPEE

Coffee hot and in hand, morning is here, and so am I and for that I give thanks! And so it is ~
RAIN, RAIN RAIN
OK, enough of the rain.  Bring on the sun! The hot and beautiful Florida sun; ready to see it, feel it and watch as my family revels in it, and ready to watch them turn red like a "lob-stah" ~
Ah, they are so excited, they just can't wait to hit the pool here (the pool that has been overflowing with the rain waters of the week I might just add!)

So how are you this morning?
Have a great 4Th I hope!
God Bless The United States of America
Through heartaches, trials and tribulations...
We may bend
BUT
We Will NOT
Be BROKEN
WE ARE WARRIORS
As The EAGLE SOARS
SO SHALL WE

The cook-outs here probably became "cook-ins" for many as the rains came and came, with brief pauses that allowed us to think of being on the water, of getting some sun and fun...
And oh how it rained!
My dearest friend called in the morning of the 4Th to let me know she was packing the cooler for us; our day on Lake Tarpon that had been planned for ... oh a month I think. At the time of her call it had been raining so hard I couldn't see to the end of the lanai! Funny one she is.
Let her know I had my bathing suit on and was ready!

Tears, liquid sunshine, whatever you might want to call it; it sure was making for a difficult to find pleasure on the water kind of day!
BUT
July 4 was a day of celebration irregardless of the weather. A day of celebration and great gratitude.
A day of remembrance, a day of thankfulness and of gatherings for many. And sadly, a day of heartaches for so many here in Tampa and across this vast nation of ours. When you think about it, really think about it;
freedom isn't free and it comes with tremendous courage and sacrifice not only to individuals, but to the families and the communities and the Nation as a whole.
It becomes the time for us to choose to embrace life even stronger, even closer...
To embrace the moment we are privileged to have called "LIFE"...
It is that time NOW, right here right now on this Monday.
We are called to do that; not just for ourselves, but for those who have put it all on the line; for those who have died in the line of duty or the call to service.
Yes, those who defend, protect and serve.
We do not have the luxury of waking on a Monday and griping and complaining that we don't like Monday...
just because it's Monday!
What a lame excuse...
Tell that to a soldier who is on the front lines; to a soldier at Walter Reed who woke up missing his or her legs... Tell that to Sara Kocab this morning. Tell that to the TPD or other officer as they go out for their next "routine traffic stop" and their minds wonder for a split second if they are going to be next to join
the thin Blue Line
and then wonder did they
kiss their spouse before they left home.
STAND UP.
S T O M P
LAUGH OUT LOUD JUST TO HEAR
THE BEAUTY OF YOUR VOICE
"Every one of us gets through the touch times because somebody is there, standing in the gap to close it for us" {Oprah}
Will you be a part of taking a stand to close the gap.  Stand UP.

Now tell me... what kind of day are you going to choose
to have?
As Joe Graff says, jump on a desk and dance, celebrate Monday; it's the beginning of great things!

ME?
I am going to have to get real busy here with the four-leggeds... we have to clean and make the house sparkly like a holiday for the "fam"! Think I'll use the little ones for dusting the floors, they are furry and should pick up a lot of stuff from the floors, then I can just "shake em out"
I'm just so excited I can barely stand myself!
My Godsons' are coming... bet they've grown more and more... (uh oh, Buddy Pal wants to drive to Disney...)
Kamryn who is the NEXT Michael Jordon has probably grown two feet! Angie is having a vacation and is beside herself with joy and can't wait to chill with Mickey. Mom is overjoyed with the idea of getting to FL and seeing Micky, she just loves her some Mickey!
OH, the memories we are going to make ~ the laughs we're going to share... can't stand it... laughing already just imaging the Kodak moments and
the Hallmark magic we will share!

So for today, I leave you with this thought:
Sit with the moment, savor each day...
Let others know of your expectancy of experiences or just don't have any expectancy and then you won't have disappointments!
If you share your ideas/expectancy and listen to that of others, then at least each and all have an understanding and a better chance of making a great time for all!

You are standing today with a wonderful opportunity.
What choices will you make for your day?
I wish you enough.

The fire is burning, its embers are hot, sending healing thoughts, prayers on the wind to those that are in pain, those that are devastated by the recent events in our lives, our world, our Gulf waters and our very souls. We are UNITED in healing ways, we are here, along with some powerful angels... LOOK UP, it is only by looking up you will hold the faith and see the Eagle when she soars...

Sending healing thoughts of strength, humor, and light to you and yours on this beautiful morning...

WE are together in prayer, in thoughts of all that is needed to remind you out there, we are WARRIORS... we are with you, along with some powerful angels... May you find comfort in knowing we are with you always:

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, all this rain. Come on,
STOP (stomp on the rain )
How fun for you Sherry, with family coming for 2 weeks. Make memories, live, laugh, love.
Special times and visits are golden.
Put the cleaning energy into resting energy, you will need your battery FULL to keep up.
Enjoy and if no blog appears in the A.M., we readers will know why. Making good choices for me is the key today. Thanks for the push.
Let love prevail and stay F I R M

Sherry, you fam is coming to see you not the house--Angie said it best --give all the kids a pair of socks and let them go to town--laugh at their antics--it does the body good to watch younger ones doing what we did for way to long. Have a great two weeks, I know they will--you might as well enjoy it too....STOP cleaning and rest!!!
If it aint clean by now--too bad!!!

Sherry, yesterday we gathered at my daughter and son in laws house for a wonderful time of love, laughter and celebration. My sister, her husband, son and two grandkids came and we had two of my son in laws sons come and of course my two grandsons came in after their weekend visit with their Dad. Blended families coming together trying to get to know one another. We all played pool volleyball and had a great time. It was another memory for sure. I was able to sit back and just watch it all happen and it was glorious.

Have a wonderful time with your family. There is nothing to compare when all the genes mix it up. Enjoy as I know you will and thanks for these blogs they are wonderful.

Heard from my soldier boy yesterday and it was 113 in Iraq. He's got 12 days left. I will not rest comfortably till he's on American soil once again.

Oh Cathy, How wonderful to know your son is soon to be home. Thank him for us all. Hey doc, enjoy the fam and enjoy yourself. I, will look forward to hearing about your visit! The rain will stop I promise. The sun is on the way! Good news that the storm in the Gulf did not dump more oil on the shore. Havin a GREAT day and expect tomorrow will be even better if that is possible.
