TAMPA GRIEVES ~ ROLL OF HONOR, Roll on Angels in Blue

The Tampa Police
Memorial
An Outpouring of Love and Support

EDITS TO THIS 0725
A KILLER HAS BEEN CAUGHT. REST WEARY SOLDIERS
THANK YOU.

This morning I am drinking my coffee and must tell you I wrote that Sarah Kocab had her baby hours after her husband was killed... that was a mistake; actually she went into labor, but didn't yet have the babe.
Yesterday all the families and the community gathered at the Fallen's Memorial for the unveiling;
The clouds rolled in; the skies were ominous
The rains have been rather steady here in Tampa Bay since the shootings of two young men in Blue.
The manhunt IS OVER. This piece of garbage of a human is now linked to 3 other murders it seems. And someone WAS helping him to hide out... They should get the same time as he will get for their crime. IN THE EARLY HOURS OF MORNING HE AND THE DRIVER OF THE CAR ARE IN CUSTODY; IN MAXIMUM SECURITY.
THANK GOD. NOW ALL
NOW THE FOCUS CAN BE ON THE FALLEN.
So... I'm thinkin here on the day that thousands will gather at Idlewild Baptist Church to remember; to pray and to say farewell to the fallen; the 31 year old young men who gave their lives for making a
"routine traffic stop"
for protecting and serving our communities...
They are now with some powerful
WARRIORS ON THE OTHER SIDE,
A PART OF THE THIN BLUE LINE.

When you see an officer on the street, I would strongly suggest you take a moment of your time to say
THANK YOU
to say,
I appreciate you, your dedication to serving the community,
your sacrifice,
your care,
your family
YOU

Yep, with coffee on the table and heaviness for all in my heart ... I'm thinking of the comments written yesterday, the comments posted on the Facebook page dedicated to "The Fallen Tampa Bay Police Officers" and the many the proud, those alive and those who are a part of
"The Thin Blue Line".
Wado
Thank you for all that you are to so many, thank you to your families for sharing you.
You have taken a STAND for what is right, and for US all

Perhaps we need another law on these big books of ours, one that we hold fast and hard to.  Maybe we need a law that is written in the blood of one of these ruthless killers who do not value human life, and then we make no mistake that we mean to follow this particular law.
Law: Kocab/Curtis
Let it be known now and forever more, that if/when an individual or group points/displays/places hand upon/shoots at or toward or near a Police Officer
They will immediately be shot to death. {PERIOD}

The taxpayers will not have to support them forever; the families will not have to be tormented by the long and emotionally draining trial where they sit in an attorney purchased three piece suit looking smug. They will not eat at the taxpayers expense steak and lobster the night before their execution
(which then they find out they have been granted a stay)

And to think,
The communities that the Tampa Police are sweeping are beginning to be an inconvenience to the people living there? At least that's what one woman who was interviewed said! Give me a break...
$100,000 reward, the calls are coming in, folks are turning in their mothers... seeing drugs in their eyes, Escalades in their driveways with that kind of money...
But he continues his run,
He can run, BUT HE WILL BE FOUND.
Officers are arriving from other areas to join in finding him, officers are passionate about finding him.
And they are weary, they are hurting, they are grieving the loss of brothers in Uniform.
Many will miss the funeral today because they will be looking for the trash, in holes; in drug riddled neighborhoods. He will make a mistake; it's not that he is bright, it's just that people are helping him.
They are getting a lot of play out of this;
they are not "of this world" of ours.

Meanwhile, people continue to come to the Memorial of the Fallen. It brings them comfort; it eases the pain of trauma and gives them something to do, something to see... The Names Etched.
The shrine bears the names of thirty-one officers
killed in the line of duty since 1895:

•Officer John (Jack) McCormick - September 26, 1895

•Captain Samuel J. Carter - June 2, 1905

•Marshal Joseph Walker - September 15, 1915

•Officer Richard S. Booth - November 28, 1943

•Officer Morris D. Lopez - July 9, 1949

•Officer Carl F. Chastain - February 12, 1958

•Officer Rolla L. Standau - November 29, 1963

•Officer William D. Krikava - January 1, 1965

•Detective Juan Serrano - February 25, 2006

•Corporal Michael Roberts - August 19, 2009

•Officer David Curtis - June 29, 2010

•Officer Jeffery Kocab - June 29, 2010

And today, as we make plans and begin to celebrate America's birthday... we remember with gratitude the fallen, the brave and those left behind to carry on. They will carry on with amazing grace and great memories once the trauma, the shock and the profound sadness moves beyond this time of horror. Sarah will hopefully bring a beautiful baby girl into this world; a baby girl who will learn about her Daddy who talked about his passion, and his desire for her to make his life complete and his great love for Tampa and his work. Those kids of David Curtis are his legacy... they will have male role models to tell him stories of his Dad and his awesomeness, his dedication and courage. They will stand at the ready for these new widows to help, and to allow them to lean in until they are able to stand strong. They will stand strong again.
Until then... remember them, think of them often, hold them in prayer and thoughts until they can gain their strength and gain control again.

I bet those young men now run with some wild angels from the list on that stone... Wild angels indeed in blue that are joining in on this manhunt, who can assist from the other-side in finding and flushing out the worst of the worst as Chief Jane Castor called him.
I won't give him the space to call him by his name... He is garbage, and they will take out the garbage ...

Tampa Bay PD, my heart is with you, my prayers are with you and your family. Thank you for your warrior spirit and your dedication to your brothers and sisters, Be Safe, STAND strong we are united with you in your purpose, your passion and your pain.

Aristotle said, "He who is unable to live in society, or who has no need because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a god."  This ruthless killer is a beast, take him out Tampa.

The fire is burning, its embers are hot, sending healing thoughts, prayers on the wind to those that are in pain, those that are devastated by the recent events in our lives, our world, our Gulf waters and our very souls. We are UNITED in healing ways, we are here, along with some powerful angels... LOOK UP, it is only by looking up you will hold the faith and see the Eagle when she soars...
Sending healing thoughts of strength, humor, and light to you and yours on this beautiful morning...

WE are together in prayer, in thoughts of all that is needed to remind you out there, we are WARRIORS... we are with you, along with some powerful angels... May you find comfort in knowing we are with you always:

Thanks doc for the update adn the strong support for the men and women in blue. I saw litterally hundreds of state and local police cars on Dale Mabry Hwy on my way to work early this AM. Then on Beaars Ave. Over a hundred motercycles, riding side by side with state police SUVs after evry group of 10 motor cycles, Then a white stretch limo and another 15 minutes of bikes, squad cars and State and local marked cars. I suppose one of the services are being held here on Dale Mabry this morning. Quite an experience to see. I was moved, saddened and glad that they were all able to participate in the processional.
This is a sight I will I will long remember.

What a huge heart you have Sherry! It overflows with compassion for all those serving the community in helping preserve peace and safety. Also for those men and women who serve our country. I will be ever so happy to have my sweet soldier boy on American soil after his service in Iraq. I will continue to pray for all mothers, fathers, spouses, and families that live each day knowing there loved ones could be taken from them in one brief moment.

Since I turned 60 last year thoughts tend to drift toward the "Great Reward". Never in all my years have I pondered it this much. I know where I'm going when this brief existence is over and find great comfort in it but what will I do or what have I done thus far to make my existence mean something. I fear not enough and pray I will be directed each day to making it count.

Thanks so much for putting me and my family on you prayer list. I told my Mom that people all over are praying for her. People that don't even know her. She's a funny little woman. You'd like her. She has these little round blue eyes that looked up at me the other day with such fear and weakness all at the same time. This was a strong, willfull, energetic woman who was fearless. I would give anything never to see that look in her eyes again.

It is with a very heavy heart I
read..this blog as well as the newspaper..
I have had the recent experience of
living this nightmare with a dear friend
of mine who buried her husband and fater
of her 4 beautiful, strong sons , only
a week ago.. Rest assured, Tampa is not
the only place where socially depraved
trash exists...I will pray for
these families of the fallen warriors,
gone too soon.....
It makes me wonder why ? There is no
key answer here... but if I can make any
difference to improve the world which I
call home... I shall.
For sure will give thanks to the vets
and the men and women in blue...
They have all of my respect and admiration,
GRADITUDE...as well,
The skies are dark today, and I can hear
the thunder faintly rolling.. becoming
stronger with each word typed...
The POWERFUL ANGELS are gathering..
and with their power and love will
work to ease the pain...
Thanks for a moving and most thoughtful
read today... It makes me proud to be
a part of " our world ". May we all find
some inner peace and solace as we reflect
on our values ....
GOD BLESS THE USA !

I pray for the families to attain peace and for all Police Officers everywhere that they remain safe. Of course, I know that we will hear of other officers that have been KIA somewhere, but I keep praying anyway. That's all I can do--that and say thank you to the police for all they do.

Dear, dear families if only we could reach out and make it ok. If we could only erase the heartache you are going thru right now. We are all out here praying for you and your family for the dear young policemen and the soldiers who are protecting us. I wish I could bring all of you back home and you would live a wonderful life. God and the Angels are with you now and that is going to help us get thru this life by knowing there is a better place. God bless the policemen and the soldiers. Keep them safe and hurry home.
