Coffee hot this morning, tears have been many the last couple of days... Tears of great sadness as Tampa mourns the tragic and needless death of Two of its men in Uniform...
Two Tampa Police Officers killed during what was to be a routine traffic stop...
Chief Castor sums it up:
"Our hearts are broken" this is devastating...
Officer Jeff Kocab 31 had been with Tampa Police proudly for 14 months and leaves a wife who was 9 months pregnant... with a baby girl... she is a teacher... she went into labor when she heard the news/the shock too much for her nervous system, too much for the baby within and she to take. I'm sure she had the help from her guardian angel Daddy ~ I feel sure he was there... I hope she and Mom see him, feel his presence often...
Welcome to the world baby girl Kocab, I am sooo sorry you had to enter the world this way, this day on such a tragic and sad day for so many. Maybe it's good she was born hours after her Daddy died... maybe his spirit jumped right into her little body somehow, to watch over her in her life, always nearby... maybe she will grow into a strong little one, a woman who stands strong and remembers, and honors a good man, a man who died doing what he loved... Maybe she will soothe the horrendous trauma that her Mommie is suffering in trauma by shifting her horror to wonderment and joy while grieving her husband and thanking him for the gift of this child. That would assist her in finding balance born of necessity, and that would be good, we can pray for goodness and gratitude.
Officer Dave Curtis 31 proudly served as a Tampa Police Officer 4 years leaving behind a wife, family and four children... his family donating his organs so that others may live after life support ended with them there by his side at Tampa General Hospital.
Tampa Bay mourns deeply...
Both officers dying in what was a "routine" stop of a vehicle just 11 months since the tragic death of Corporal Mike Roberts; also a proud to serve the community Tampa Police Officer.
Cpl Roberts died after approaching a suspicious man pushing a shopping cart... which was filled with "weapons" it was later discovered...
But with these two young men... there were just doing their jobs; protecting and serving Tampa Bay; they loved what they did for a living; they loved life, their friends, brothers in blue; their families and friends, their community.
They were making what was to be a routine stop... of a car... just a routine thing... now they are gone. Like a firefly in the night, just like that. And the world wants to know why? And where is this 24 year old person who took their lives with no regard to humanity, no regard for human life... for no reason?
HE WILL BE FOUND... YOU CAN REST ASSURED THAT HE WILL BE FOUND...
There were two people in that car... the woman driving now has been released from jail?
They are looking for a man, a huge manhunt is under way... Helicopters, K-9 units, on foot, by car...
Cortnee B. is now free... she is free now anyway.
Chief Castor says with intensity that she wants us to trust them on this, so trust we will with faith and courage...
They are looking for Dontae Morris.. and they are looking far, near and wide... Others are in on the search as well. They will find him, have no doubt in my mind about that... there is an element of certainty in their eyes ... and a pain in their hearts, and a black ribbon across their shield.
When it's a matter of those Warriors in BLUE, people will come from all over to join in the search... the community will gather as well.

People are coming from all walks of life to pay honor to the fallen in Tampa ... a soldier even left his helmet worn in Iraq... Most can't help but ask "why", and all are saying "thank you"...
The attitude of "gratitude" will get all of us through this, and we will remember... We must remember...
This all comes on less than a week ago of the horrific news of two Polk County Deputies in Lakeland FL shot and injured when approaching a man on a bicycle who opened fire on them... he was killed in the exchange of gunfire...
Tragedy in Tampa and the surrounding areas...
We will Never Forget... and so the families are making plans to honor these slain young men. They are making sure that the public who is mourning can honor them too:

The fallen officer memorial in Tampa is already amazing... flowers are everywhere, pictures of two handsome young men, both proud to serve the community, to wear the uniform and protect and serve Tampa!
The bagpipes are playing, and they will play at the services along with Taps, and the area will be covered in blue... and the appreciation will be felt...

Some people are just crazy... some are just down and out mean... there is no if and or butt about it... If that can happen by pulling a car over, to the side of the road, a woman and a man seeing an officer approaching; no make that two with big guns on their hips....
THAT THEY THEN CHOSE TO PULL AND AIM A GUN AND WILLFULLY KILL SOMEONE'S SON, HUSBAND, DAD, FRIEND... and then have to wrestle a young woman to get her into custody...
TAMPA POLICE DEPARTMENT... MY HEART IS WITH YOU... MY PRAYERS AND CONDOLENCES... HOLD YOUR HEAD UP, STAND TALL AND PROUD... THOSE OFFICERS WILL WALK WITH YOU ALWAYS... We are with you, here if you need us. We are here.

NOW I am on a rant and a tear...
We must protect ourselves from too much news on t.v., radio, papers... we must be alert in our comings, goings, doings, thinkings... remember those neurons... those thoughts make us...
We have the ability to choose....
It's that time of the year when the politicians are working on our brains... our nervous systems... and I don't know about you but my nervous system is about raw....
My heart aches for these brave young men, I feel sure that someone took their hand, perhaps it was Corporal Mike... I ache for their families and pray them peace...
The storm is affecting our gulf.. our sea life... I can't watch today... I'm on media black out for my peace of mind, I have to shift my focus and change my state... Too much I tell ya is not a good thing. Maybe a walk on the beach in the rain, maybe a dance in the rain, maybe hang up on the next politician that cold calls me to tell me how bad their opponent is will do the trick too... never know :)
I am sick, sick I tell you of the political ads, the phony baloney and the phone calls...
How is it that I care ... who took money from who, who had an abortion, had sex, did what/how/where:
and what does Abortion providers have to do with immigration and how does that have anything to do with MY HOUSE VALUES, taxes, my Godsons, granddaughter, integrity and honesty!
AND if you are telling me and trying to host a smear campaign in order to make you look good... What in the world do you stand FOR...
I believe in a woman's choice and if memory serves me correctly this is an old and resolved issue, and not a political issue, nor are end of life issues or death panels...
I remember back door abortion clinics; I've met people who don't believe in abortion... met them as they were preparing to have their very own abortioion in DC, because they were pregnant by a married man who happened to work on the "hill" you know the same hill as in Capital Hill??? AND they wanted VIP treatment and counsel and then wanted to reiterate that they don't believe in abortion...
I don't care... it is not my business... Are ya feeling me on this one politicians??? Wonder if this rant costs me fans/book sales? Oh hell, guess it doesn't matter, cos' those that matter won't mind and...
Here in FL all we are hearing about is who to not vote for... Not much to choose from if you were to ask my opinion, but no one has, so probably best to shut up... but they are taking up my paid for by Brighthouse monthly bill prime time t.v. so I guess I do get some say on this...
I want an honest, reliable person who can walk the walk and talk the talk... I want someone who is going to fight like a dog to help me live a good life and keep my home and its value from going down and to bring jobs into my community. One ad says "politicians can't turn jobs around but you and I can" ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
I do NOT want to know nor do I care who you sleep with and what you eat for breakfast, and who you endorse as a SOB...
I WANT YOU TO DO SOMETHING THAT TAKES A STAND AND MAKES THINGS BETTER AND NOT SPEND YOUR TIME CRASHING/TRASHING AND RUNNING YOUR MOUTH... and I WANT YOU TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT... SAVE THE GULF WHILE YOU ARE AT IT.

Well dear I have news for ya, here in FL, business is slow too, and I have never seen t-shirts flying out of the stores in the best of days on the beaches.... Business is slow everywhere... c'mon now... let's keep it real... Don't get me wrong I want BP to pay off my house in addtion to paying wrongful death for all the sea life and the winged ones and the beaches and the children's future and the ruined boats, and the ....
But... c'mon now, we can't let crazy get involved with greed too.

Winne 86 years old, broke her neck in 6 places...
She is having surgery this morning in Albuquerque NM... She is a warrior, full of life...

New month, JULY and a GREAT blog written by our dear Dr. SES. Tampa Bay hearts heavy about the officers/families, etc. Tragic events flood me as I am an avid news junkie.
I have to take a huge BREAK from the constant bad news bears of the black box. Yes, doc, perhaps a walk somewhere distracting. To Randy & Winnie: stay strong, wishing her a positive recovery. Not easy to see that injury, deal with it or accept it. I lived a similar injury with my Dad, falling in a nursing home, breaking his neck, never recovered. Breathe everyone, especially ME,

So very very sad... tragic and powerful words today for all to read, to digest and to ponder... my heart wraps around the families of these two young men... routine traffic stop, a license plate missing? a murderer who should have been locked up anyway... I have an idea: how bout we take the murderers, child molesters, the depraved, and load them on a US paid for one way trip to IRAQ... drop them ... give them their own AK-47 and a uniform... bring our men and women home, leave them there to have a party of shooting and doing whatever pleases them... and maybe we can fix this...
sorry no sympathy here for the meaness, the horrible the ugly.
as for the GULF... save our gulf, our people our sea life... compensate those who need the compensation and have the papers to back up their losses their needs .... fix it now...

I'm right there with ya doc. Hope the bastard cop killer gets caught soon. No punishmnet severe enough. I could make some specific suggestions though.... Talk about people that lie and cheat and feel entitled... Are we speaking about the money grubbers trying to profit off the disaster in the gulf while not paying taxes, or the lifers serving in Congress,taxing us to death while they lavish their wives and mistresses with our $. No respect for a liar and best I can see, an honest poitician is an oxymoron. Don't even et me started on the bible thumpers and catholics that protest a women's right to choose....

Thursday and the pain is palpable here in Tampa..I work in the building where there are scores of ICE employees--they are all deployed to the Tampa police dept. I know some of these men and pray for them-that they don't get hurt. But they going willingly and with determination to catch this guy (low life) Many of us are going to the wake to show the families we are there for them. I pray the angels surround them always as they make their way through this new life without their husbands, dads, sons and brothers. Now is not the time to get on my soap box about politicians and their crookedness. another day for that.
Slain officers, beyond tragic, watching the unveiling of the TPD monument with their names on it. The officer standing "watch" clearly hurting, moved to tears, their families all present, appearing stronger than I, and I never even knew those 2 young men! Watching the young man last night on TV who was with one of those cops as he was arrested by him for a misdemeanor. The kid saying this cop changed his life when he treated him like a human being and not a criminal. He is now in school, making a life for his wife or girlfriend, and his 2 year old son, changed forever, and he was hurting too... These men have irreversibly touched lives, forever. God Bless them and especially their families always, and in good ways during this horrific time. GUT Wretching! I rather hope they find that Damonte, and PUMP him full of holes to save our "poor state" a bunch of taxpayors dollars, but especially to save those poor families from having to live through a trial.
Politicians.. equally Gut Wretching! They lie, they use BILLIONS of dollars to promote themselves,get backed by the Shister, corrupt people who we have to pay aka-Insurance, drugs companies, BP, etc. Oh wait, we have to pay them too!! It's ALL freakin' corrupt! I don't think there is an honest man out there that really has the heart and interest of the people...well, ONE person comes to mind, Paul Hittos. He should run for president of everything! Okay, Governer, or Senate. He's Humble, Honest, Hardworking, Loves Family, appreciates sincerity, and IS Sincere. Tells it like it is. C'mon Paul, why don't you throw your hat in the ring!!!

To your friends in NM, I Pray you well, and that the surgeons were guided by the hand of THE man for healing. Peace to you all. I ask you add a few more people to the prayer list to be watched by the angels, and thought of by our warriors. Trish for ability to rise above depression, Barb for healing from many, Many health issues, and her beautiful young daughter Anastasia for her autoimmune disease, Hives. She is in DC, where the best of the best are taking interest in her case. She has such a bright future, but such a horrid, painful disease, which any stress makes much worse. This girl can have a very promising future if they can cure her. Pray that for all, and us too. Pray our Gulf heals, and BP doesn't just try to capture the oil, they plug the damn hole! Like my dad used to say about overcrowding in prison, don't feed them for a month, then arm them all with knives, throw a ham in the courtyard, wait, til the last one is standing, then shot that one! Overcrowding, taken care of, then maybe, just maybe those two fine men in blue wouldn't be dead! And more people would make a better life for themselves. Sorry, no sympathy from me there.
