Here we Come Gulf for Sunday with Great Gratitude of Family

CHILLIN
Florida Style

Beautiful and blessed morning it is!
Today we hit the gulf waters... coffee good, survived waking the "fam" with "Can't Touch This" heehe
Cooler packed, towels packed... da fam still sleepin, (not for long if I have anything to say about it).
Thinking this morning that a shot of B12 would be a good thing.
Ever notice the energy of 9 and 15 year old boys?
WOW
I mean if we could bottle that energy and give to all and to those in regular situations, work, play, our neighbors, assisted living facilities and Nursing Homes...
Wouldn't that be just spiffy?
We would have folks dancing in the streets at all hours, crawling over the nursing stations and getting the aides and nurses in such great moods!
Why it could change the moods of the country ~
Just imagine it!!!
I rather like the images myself...
Yesterday: Angie, D'Vante, Kamryn and the Godmother (*me*) played in and on Lake Tarpon! It was fantastic. We saw the magestic Eagle as she watched over us for the afternoon! We played in the lake, we did flips from the bow of the boat... we laughed, sang and talked about our time at Disney... and what a time it was!
AND
Then it was time to have Angie and Kamryn in the watersport adventure behind the boat... with skill and a lot of luck, and the boat at full throttle I had them airborne at one point ~ Godson and I laughed until we were insane after they hit the water! Angie landed with a fright and was sitting on Kamryn while still holding to her hand ropes on her side of the watercraft float!
It was hysterical... mostly for us in the boat!
Purchased a set of water - skis just for them this trip... So then it was time for the aged old tradition of teaching them to ski! OOPS.... skis tooo big for Kamryn this year, but he did try his might. Then decided he would try to "bare-foot" instead! He did indeed try as the boat took off and he went under and then POPPED to the top spurting half the lake it seemed before letting go of the rope!
Maybe next year?
D'Vante tried and tried, almost with success, but frustration of getting the skis on was his downfall this year! Perhaps next year... he too was humbled in the realization that to water ski is harder than it appears!
Ah... Time for cuzzie to take to the skis... The putting on of the skis is indeed a challenge and takes most of your vinegar to get it done, I'm thinking... but she was successful ~
Attempt 1... so close...
Attempt 2... dratz
Attempt 3... OK cuz, just face the boat babe... gotta face the boat... ohhhh almost out of the water and ..... dratz!!!
OK, maybe next year!
YOU want me to try?
It's been more than 30 years since I've been on skis!
Who loves ya baby?
The Godmother.
Whether you think you can or think you can't
YOU ARE RIGHT!
Attempt 1
The Godmother IS UP AND ON THE SKIS....
YIPPEE!!!
And
She crosses the wake!!!
Those Godsons of mine were so proud! They thought I had been practicing water-skiing! LOL
I do love my boys, and our times together are sacred to my heart... but my body will take time
to recover I am sure! Running like bears in the wild by day now back at home; to return from a full day to the pool until dark; showers and then the great bowling championships on the WII until falling into a bed!

Today is going to be another day of challenge and adventure... Buddy Pal (15) and Puddy Pal (9) will both want to drive the boat, hit the waves like mad men...
We've borrowed that big round floating thing... bout 5 feet in diameter that you pull behind the boat and ride the waves on for my boyz to have the time of their lives ~
Both will jump overboard and frolic in the waters of our beloved gulf waters where so far we have not had "OIL"
of course no thanks to BP.
Speaking of BP...
notice how Dudley (dooo right) who is now running things ... notice that his first name is "BOB"... same name as Tony Haywards yacht! Wonder if Tony boy named his toy yacht after Dudley?
Wouldn't that be just hunkey dorey and such a lovely little tribute?

Did I mention that BP = phony baloney?

OK OK OK
It is a day to count our blessings
a Day to Choose our paths
A Day to choose to be ever so grateful for our friends, our families, our very ability to be reading this page,
to pinch ourselves and be able to say
"why n the world did I do that, it hurt!"

Today: tenderness with play, and silliness with compassion, caring with fun, enchantment with excitement are my words and my pledge!
How bout' you?

"How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these." ~George Washington Carver

Compassion: ah what a great virtue indeed... we could all practice compassion all days in all ways... make it a part of your life, just as breathing; necessary, critical in fact to your very life. In all walks of spiritual life, waking and sleeping compassion with passion, with energy, with listening, with speaking and action.
Feelin me here?
Sit with that for awhile... feel it...
deeply within my Warriors.

Ah yes... today is a day to count the blessings ~ of course there are many... Does it really matter who left the lid off the orange juice or the milk container when you really think about it? If the morning didn't quite start off the way you hoped for ... stand still for a quick hot minute and take a breath or two..
Re-evaluate the situation for yourself...
Start over!
Really start over.
What difference does it really make anyway?
Did someone pee in your cheerios?
Throw that bowl out and get a new bowl for yourself
and do not worry about it~
Stay in that beautiful space that YOU create today
no matter what or who or if or when!
STOMP
Outshine the sun my friends, family, readers...

Cathy Madden's soldier boy is almost home from Iraq and back where he should be in Texas with his family ~
Safe trip home soldier
God bless you and keep you safe.
Please give all there our deepest gratitude and continued support for serving our great country.

Wonder how our friends from Brazil are now that they have finished Disney and were heading to Daytona Beach for a few days? Wishing them a wonderful eperience at the Atlantic Ocean...
"Oh Boy" they were a great group of young people ~

The four leggeds are just a mess with all of this attention... don't know what in the world they will do when everyone goes back home! Bet they will go into human withdrawal or doggie depression...
Oh me oh my whatever will I do?
Can't give that room in my head today... gotta wake the family... Now what shall I wake them to today? Rap/hip hop/ country/ jazz/big band... hmmm

How about this?

The fire is burning, its embers are hot, sending healing thoughts, prayers on the wind to those that are in pain, those that are happy, those that are devastated by the recent events in our lives, our world, our Gulf waters and our very souls.
We are UNITED in healing ways, we are here, along with some powerful angels...
LOOK UP, it is only by looking up you will hold the faith and see the Eagle when she soars...

Sending healing thoughts of strength, humor, and light to you and yours on this beautiful morning...

WE are together in prayer, in thoughts of all that is needed to remind you out there, we are WARRIORS... we are with you, along with some powerful angels... May you find comfort in knowing we are with you always:

O.K. first to comment today. Will more than likely catch a few extra winks after this. My tribe will arrive around 12:30 or so to watch the World Cup and chow down. Sherry, you are so blessed to be able to have your family with you. You know my Dad use to tell my sister, my brother and me "when everyone else has failed you, you will always have each other, you will always have your family". Such wise words. I will glory in today and take more than a moment to make a memory.
