Happy St Patricks Day to all!

Did ya hear the one about the Irishman that
walked out of the bar?

Somedays
People just don't get it

Morning to ya
Coffee is on, and it's dark and quite
and
many are finding our time change a bit to get used to.

Today here in Tarpon Springs
we are trying to wrap our head around the
events of a couple days ago.
It seems a young man
torched his family's
Ammo Shop
which set off quite an explosive early morning
and also took out two connecting buildings.
One of which was a local small jewelry store
belonging to the kindest man I had done business with and the other a little local breakfast eatery.
After setting off such a massive explosion the young
man then returned to his home and killed his family
ending by killing himself.
When the police arrived, the hood of his car was still warm indicating that he had only been there moments before he arrived to commit these horrible acts.
They continue to search for clues as to how this all happened and why.
The traffic on Alternate 19 was backed up all day today
people were just everywhere and our little community
is stunned beyond words.
It was very close to where I live
but
I heard nothing.

My heart aches for those affected, for the kind man
of the jewelry store who has been there for such a long
time, who was always so kind to his customers
to pleasant to all who entered his doors
my deepest condolences to our community
who now are hyper vigilant in their goings and comings as we look over our shoulders wondering
how could this occur
in such a tender little town.
It seems that perhaps the man who committed these acts had recently been in trouble with the police department, and of course once again it seems that prescription drugs may have laid in the fray
of a man who ended by taking the lives of his uncle
his Grandmother prior to killing himself.
How tragic.

Further down the coast,
I heard that on a Dolphin encounter
folks got a real close encounter
when a dolphin
actually flipped onto their boat!
Now talk about an encounter of a remarkable kind.
I sure hope the dolphin was alright
and that it was released safely back into the water.
Bet everyone who hears that story will book that particular boat for their adventure now!

Happy St Patricks Day everyone
It's the day of the wearing O' The Green Today
a day of grand celebration!
It's time for your Irish coffee, and to get out the paper and find out where you will be eating your
favorite Irish meal tonight
the locals will be having
a grand ole' time
all about town you can be sure of it.
My dearest friend will be carrying her
world famous
soda bread to all in
Fredricksburg VA
as gifts I betcha.
Boy how I used to wait for my loaf
and
to this day still expect to see her walk in and hand it to me.
No one, I mean no one could make it like Eileen.
So for today,

Meanwhile I am home until end of the month,
and
it doesn't hurt my feelings to be enjoying this weather of ours.
Relaxing with the COB and the little ones,
working from home
and
remembering those professionals I have met along the journey. Fantastic folks they were.

So for today
May the luck of the Irish be With you!
May you enjoy the four greatest blessings:

May your neighbors respect you,

Troubles neglect you,

The angels protect you,

And Heaven accept you.

the fire is burning brightly, its embers are hot, with thoughts on the winds to all today, and may all have the best of days today. Special thoughts to our reader and warrior EE and son who are moving to the other side of the mountain out there in CO travelling today and trying to get where they are going before the big snows arrive! Safe journey warriors!

Walk In Beauty,
DRSES

OMG I almost went all day wihtout even knowing it is St Paddy's Day. What's up with NPR ot even mentioning it? Good thing I have the blog to keep me updated. And to think I missed a perfectly good occasion to make corn beef and cabbage. So sad... Well, left over chili it is.
Hope everyone has an endless supply of happiness and the luck of the Irish each day.
