Here we are Friday !!!

Still cold in some parts of the world
but
oh so nice and warm here!

Good morning morning
the coffee is hot and good this morning.
How's this time change feeling to you?
Some are having one heck of a time
as we get used to the
"spring forward" idea of things now.
But it sure is great to see the light
staying in the evening isn't it?
Wow
yesterday on
there sure was an event to be witnessed!
Yep
Dr Lynn Rogers and Sue Mansfield
went to the den
after little HOPE decided to tear down the microphone
and move it out of the den!
She sure did get swift attention she did
as they came to her beck and call
on a snow mobile
with
filberts in their pockets
she knows how to pull their strings!
And
we all got to watch
right after we all heard
"It's me bear, don't worry"
and
then
the rest was remarkable!!!
Lily emerged from the den
she came right to the bearwalker
she
just knew that voice,
and
behind her came
HOPE
and right to him
looking for a hand
of
Filberts!
And before we knew
it
the little ones wandered out as well.
After Lily gave doc her blessings
wouldn't ya just know it...
She backed away and let
Dr Rogers photograph them
and
then
he actually picked up one of those little bitty cubs
OMG
breathless we were as we watched
and admired
the Bear Walker
and his grand respect
along with
Lily the mother bear
and
her trust and respect of a human.
if ya want to be amazed
and
touched.
Lily allowed doc to put a radio collar on her
and
had he had another one
little HOPE would have granted him permission
to gift her with her own!
What an event to witness.
Nature at its finest
research with kindess and the utmost of respect.
As he left,
he thanked the bears
and told them
"until the next time bears"
and
I'm thinking,
it just doesn't get better than this!
Thank you Dr Rogers
I appreciate you.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to surround those in Japan and surrounding areas
as I saw on the news that now they must also deal with snow there as they try and try to stand with all that has happened in their home lands.
It is the time
to dig deep for faith and hope
to sustain
and
to hold tightly to that and those that nurture us...

Many are going through so much it seems
and those who are working on the front lines
to help provide aide and assistance
must be remembered and
if possible
thanked if you see them on the streets
and
in your communities.
The work is hard,
and the thanks hard to come by at times.

Did you get out there and have a
green soda or beer yesterday
as all were wearing of the
gREEn
Notice how everyone wants to be
IRISH
on St Patrick's Day?
Always tickles me to life
when you travel out on the 17th
for that
cabbage and corned beef
and
just people watch!
A great day for people watching if you ask me.
I just love it!
the telling of the jokes
the wearing of the green
noting that very seldom do the greens match
but guess that doesn't matter when you are
out on the town to celebrate
does it?
Here locally in
Palm Harbor there is quite an event
they even close the streets
where folks can just party til they can't stand it
or
til' they just can't stand!
The smells of great food fill the air
and of course the beer is plentiful
and the
folks are
quite colorful to boot!
A good time is had by all
but
I usually high tail it home before
the sun goes down, having had my fill
of good eats
and my eyes soar from
people watching
and
the colors of green that I never can imagine people put together and really wear out!
there are beads and pins and buttons galore
folks laughing and singing and just having the best of times!
For awhile they can forget their troubles, enjoy their friends and neighbors and the music that is playing from the local bars and on the streets.
Indeed it is a community of flavor for the day,
the wearing of the green
and
The Thirsty Marlin
and
Peggy O'Neills
doing a bang up business
across the street from each other
along with those on the street selling their wares.
March is officially arrived with
St Patrick's Day in its splendor
and
today it is a memory
and only 364 more days til' the next one!
so for today,
the thought is simply this:
Let's live with the same zest of
St Patrick's Day every day
OK, maybe not the wild outfits, maybe not the raucous behaviors, and maybe not so much beer and corned beef.
BUT
the laughter and gaiety are grand, the smiles off the hook marvelous.
Each day we awaken with choices to make, with ideas just rolling around in that brain of ours
things to do, places to go, people to see or not to see.
BUT
we can choose to be jovial, happy even,
we can
be our best selves as if we were having the time of our lives
just as many did yesterday on the streets of
Palm Harbor!
It is after all an attitude
an option
that we can choose
in the drop down menu of our lives!
If we want it, if we choose it and if we embrace it.
I don't know... maybe it's just me.
I would think that laughter and its sounds are far superior to the sound of silent whining or grumpiness
or just sullenness
and frowning.
But then again,
I haven't been consulted on that
so that is why
I keep my thoughts for the most part to here!

I will share with you a future happening and hope
you
will choose to drop in
at the
Fairway Pizza on Alt 19 in Palm Harbor
you have time, but mark your calendars now!
It will be a time that is of painful-loveliness
as the parents of
Landon Korabek
have decided to have the
Landon Korabek 1st Annual One Love Memorial JamFest May 14, 2011 from 11:00-4:00pm
Fairway Pizza in Palm Harbor.
Please come out and help us remember Landon and raise money for local music scholarships
 and
 prescription drug awareness.
One Love!
People are dying from prescription drug use.
And
of course I will remind u of this date between now and then
but for now:
Mark your calendars and plan to come on out and meet
Susan and Greg Korabek
hear about their son Landon
and
listen to some great talent who are volunteering to
stir it up
with some great sounds!
Fairway Pizza has great food, an excellent staff and are all about the community, and I am just thrilled that they are opening their hearts and doors to for this event
as
we celebrate Landon by raising awareness
and
starting off something that will allow his young life
to be remembered.

You know... I do believe that when you give the best of yourself, you will see that you get the best from others!
So there ya go, another thought for our day
and something for us to all look forward to, in May
a great day of gathering to raise monies for kids and scholarships and to raise awareness
that
sad
but oh so true
prescription drugs are killing people
our youth, our adults and our elders
WE MUST STOP THIS
and
we must raise awareness
in order to bring it to light.
We are the light.

The fire is burning brightly, its embers are hot, the sage is fired up.
With HOPE, with prayers and thoughts on the winds to all who gather here and those in the prayer bowl, you know who you are!

Good blog this a.m. Lots of yesterday wearing off me. Rode bike to St. Patty's celebration in Downtown. Glorious day and gathering. Will mark Fairway Pizza on planner
Mighty brave bear approach, I'll say.
OKAY, FULL MOON ALERT tomorrow night.
First, it is the WORM moon,
Second: it is a SUPER moon, very very close to the earth, so LOOK UP EVERYONE & look out.
EyeScream is howlin' FIRM

Ok Irene, what is a worm moon? As I looked at the moon it looked like it had streamers coming down to greet me. I will look up tonight to see the super moon. I love the moon and the stars. I listened to the bears last night and it was truly amazing. I just cant believe the Dr. and his love for the bears. Feels scary to me as in my home town bears roam around and they are big black bears. Dont want to befriend them or be close to them at all. Jay Leno broke the record last night of having in his green room the most Leprechums in one room. They were having a good time.Wearing blue today to celebrate our troops who are fighting for our Country. Remember them and their families. Remember our policemen and women who protect us each day. God Bless the USA

You ask, I tell:
SATURDAY night, not tonite, is FULL WORM MOON:
"As the temperature begins to warm and the ground begins to thaw, EARTHWORM casts appear, heralding the return of the robins. The more northern tribes knew this Moon as the Full Crow Moon, when the cawing of crows signaled the end of winter, or the Full Crust Moon because the snow cover becomes crusted from thawing by day and freezing at night. The Full Sap Moon, marking the time of tapping maple trees, is another variation. To the settlers, it was also known as the Lenten Moon, and was considered to be the last FULL MOON OF WINTER" ! T M I what a mouthfull !
