Bam... Saturday is here!

Blast Off

"Leaders of our Country"
See it ~ Believe It ~ RECEIVE IT

The good times continue... from TV and laughter of an 8 year old, to fearless feats of flips in the pool!
Coffee hot, cheerios good this morning...
It's a great day, a splendid day, a day to pinch yourself with possibilities...

184 million gallons of oil later
BP has capped the gusher they think.
92+ days and perhaps this is the cap that will work, oh how we pray that this is the answer to the gushing.
Meanwhile on the BP front
British energy giant BP is speeding up the sale of up to 20 billion dollars (15.5 billion euros) of assets in a bid to boost funds after the Gulf oil spill, the Financial Times reported Friday.
The company is finalising details of the sales, including the disposal of American assets to Apache Corporation worth up to 12 billion dollars, said the paper, citing people close to the situation.

Seems they are "accelerating those plans in swift order".
Wonder how ole' Tony and Bob are doing? Think their lifestyle is changing any? Bet they love them some shrimp, oysters on the 1/2 shell too!

So far... great, no leaking in our precious gulf... BP spokesperson has said he is "cautiously optimistic" but not to celebrate yet... 3 months ... 90+ days ....
Still much to do, much to make right...
GET BUSY BP... you have much more to do than try to recover money for yourself.

So, how are you treating yourself and the world around you today? Any fearless feats up your sleeve for the day?
Perhaps a ride on a boat? A jump in the lake? A parasail over the beautiful waters? Or a trip down memory lane in your mind?

With absolute certainty you will find something to do that satisfies, entertains and amuses!

Did you know:
Manatees possess vocal chords which give them the ability to speak like humans, but don't do so because they have no ears with which to hear the sound or their conversations! I think that is just amazing ~

Amazing: life is truly amazing as are the people we share it with... Try talking to an 8 year old for awhile, it is amazing the things you will learn or discover ~

"Pressure and stress are the common colds of the psyche" {Andrew Denton}
Soooo... release the pressure valve, let go of the stress and build your immune systems... We don't want you getting a cold especially not one of your own doing!

Here's 5 Steps to an Amazing Day... Let me know how it goes ~

1. Start with Intention: Ask yourself what you want your day to look like, feel like, be like, who do you want to be with, what do you want to do with this precious 24 hours

2. When someone "pees in the cheerios" what is the plan!
When attitude jumps in, someone tries to rain on your parade, "then what"! How much attention are you going to give it? How long will you let it affect you in your day or those around you? Some feel deeply, some can let a bad thing or event just ruin the day... I have to ask...
why would you give all your power away to something negative?  I suggest limiting it to 5 minutes at most... preferably 1 minute for whatever just took you out of your "happy place". Then... get back to it, back to the place of Owning Your Day! Try to get this down to a fine science of intention... See if you can master 30 seconds of that "uh oh" feeling and turn it around for yourself.
Remember: you cannot control the actions of others; of the weather... but you can control your reactions.
How would you rather feel? BAM! STOMP!
3. Pace yourself! If things are going too slow or too fast... Find your pace and stick with it. This is your time, your pace... Now of course if you have tickets to see The Lion King and you are running late, you need to pick up the tempo and get your butt in high gear... If you are often late... leave early to assure that you won't feel pressured and late! BREATHE, relax, Breathe
4. Remember that beautiful Willow Tree? It is strong enough to bend. Be Flexible ~ Mighty Oaks will snap in to at times although they are strong, they are not known for their flexibility... Be Strong enough to bend! Stay flexible in your thoughts, your schedule, your activities.
5. Make a list of your day at days end! Congratulate yourself for having the day you intended to have! List your memories and funny sayings that came out of the day... A list of the great and wonderful things you did, those you shared time with and the experiences.

Go on, have the most remarkable, splendid, outstanding, of days! Fly on the wind of dreams and realities...

The fire is burning brightly and its embers are hot.

Wow, the Manatee tid-bit floored me.....
Happy Saturday to all !!!!!!
Been busy making good choices this morning.
POOL exercises, chat with a nice neighbor who
is celebrating a birthday today. Will attend
a memorial service at 2 PM for a dear 42 yr old friend gone to colon cancer, then off to a birthday party for 2 young-uns, tomorrow to a
BBQ anniversary celebration. It's all or nothing in my life. Never a dull moment.
Saw an ad for helicopter ride, might just look into THAT one to cross off my bucket list.
STOMPING into the weekend, I remain FIRM

Well Chris, sounds like you had a great week. Sherry, Kamryn is just a cutie patootie. Yesterday I spent with my Grands. We went to a the pool in their neighborhood and we were the only ones there for the first 20 minutes. It was great. Grands have a pool but you know they like to switch it up.

A wonderful friend of mine called and said she had an extra ticket to the Symphony would I like to come. Without hesitation I said yes. Grateful that, while unemployed, I have a chance to hear some beautiful music. It's quite a drive into the city but as you said Sherry, allow yourself plenty of time. It was a stupendous evening. Yes, I did splurge on a wonderful meal at a lovely place right across the street from where the performance was in downtown Houston but I figured with free tickets I could do this. The only thing that would have made it more perfect is if my husband would have been there but the beautiful meal would have been wasted on him, he's a common man with a simple plan. LOL. Now, he would have loved the Symphony. It was called The Planets-An HD Odyssey plus Star Wars. It began with Star War, Close Encounter of the third Kind and ET and the second part was Gustav Holst The Planets performed to images of Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. It was FABULOUS! Many thanks go to all the folks my friend called before me that couldn't go and my gratitude to my friend for thinking of me! We had a marvelous time together. The day was fantabulous!
