MAGNIFICENT MONDAY ~ Chirstmas Week is Here

Beautiful
Morning To all
Our world was built on Turtles' back,
the Eagle soars above
we are all connected
and the four directions
point to the
Universal Oneness within

Sssh, let's not wake anyone,
It's Monday morning, the coffee is ready!
Poured two cups,
sitting in the quiet of the lanai
in the event that you might like to join me
for a quiet beginning to the day!

All are still sleeping; even the 4 leggeds are quiet,
they are still tired from the holiday excitement
and
basketball
and
the baking, smells and wonderment
that fills the air here!

Yesterday
Little Star Hawk and his big brother engaged in a little
1:1 Basketball here on the lanai,
the stakes?
The loser had to be thrown in the pool!
It was a close game it was,
BUT
Big Brother D'Vante beat his little Hawk brother
and then proceeded to throw the
Little Star Hawk fully clothed including shoes
INTO THE 50 DEGREE POOL
not just once
BUT
Twice!
The screams and laughter could be heard along
with the
SPLASH
as a frozen little Star Hawk drippin wet then headed for
a hot shower!

And this morning
all is quiet
and the holidays are in full swing here,
as I sit and reflect on the many that have been shared
before,
I am ever so blessed.
STOMP

READY TO DANCE ON DESKS,
LAUGH IN CROWDS
SMILE AT FOLKS OUT THERE IN THE WORLD
JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN?
I wish you enough!~

The blessings of the holidays are met with
excitement by so many,
and
at the same time
others are preparing to share what is their last holiday with loved ones who are ill,
their first holiday since the death of a loved one.
It is a time of painful loveliness for so many it seems.
There are those who are conflicted
not sure of how or what to do as the holidays
are so near.
Many not wanting to have the traditions that once were so wonderful, for the fear of painful reminders
while others are changing their traditions or choosing what they can or cannot manage this year.

I've often tried to advise people to include loved ones who are no longer with them in their celebrations and holidays. Perhaps with a candle of remembrance, some choose an empty chair at the table, while still others sit a candle at the place where once a plate would sit.
It is an honoring of one no longer here.
BUT
it is also a way to let others know that it is perfectly a-0k
to say that person's name,
to honor them by including them in the day, the days
and the stories.
For it is in the remembering of those that we love
that we keep their memories alive within us and our families.

The parents of a young man
named
Landon Korbeck
are decorating a wreath as they face the first Christmas since his death.
It is a wonderful tribute to this 17 year old's life,
filled with keepsakes that speak to his life here.
His parents have found things that speak to that which holds a story, from pictures of him as a child, to a guitar pick, a dart with quite a story...
and his love of Bob Marley.
They have also invited the friends and neighbors to join them in the decorating of the wreath as well, each to add their own story, their own "thing" to this growing gift and tribute, while giving the parents the greatest of gifts.  That gift is that Landon will be very much a part of the Christmas that is shared through the tears of memories this year, making the day more tolerable, more lovely while acknowledging the profound sadness of his death.

Please be kind to yourself as this week gets to going,
it will fly, don't blink.
Please surround yourself with beauty,
with those that care.
Please know that balance is very important.
Balance solitude with socialbility.
Balance tears with laughter.
Balance food with drink.
Ask for what you need along the way.
Balance prayer with play.
Balance in all things makes for
Kindness and Compassion in all things.

This day
is
the day we all have.
Enjoy each breath of it.
Each moment of it is wonderful
if
you want it to be,
if
you choose it to be wonderful for you.

I wish you a day of wonder,
of magic
of
bliss.

The fire is burning brightly here,
the air is filled with sage and cedar
on the winds
to those of you in the prayer bowl,
and
those of you
YOU know who you are.

Walk In Beauty,
DRSES

Amazing writings this Monday morning.
How can keep yourself so quiet with the energy in that house ? I imagine the coffee, computer, DARK, COLD, sleeping animals, people, too. If anyone is interested, TONITE
is the TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE, before the official FULL COLD MOON in December & winter.
The year 1638 was the last time this happened.
So, for now, stay warm, safe, kind, focused, good to you ( like Dr. SES says ), calm & FIRM
