No One Is You... You are YOU...

Here I amWe are so cute!
There are YOU
#1 Buddy Pal D'Vante had his 16th birthday; ended up at the Doc (knee specialist) secondary to football concerns of last years injury :(
Kinda sucks to have to see ortho man on your birthday and to be told they may have to do surgery if it doesn't improve!
BUT
for now; he will use a brace/ice before and after the practices and we will all pray that he gets through the season ~
BUT
he had a fantastic birthday evening... He said so!
(now of course the Godmother is on a tear at the doc who saw him last winter... who should have taken care of this during the summer so he would be 100% now) Real good thing that I am in FL and the doc is in VA... cos' I have a few words for him and his lack of caring for my boy over the last several months.
I knew, I just knew from the symptoms he would end up with scope via surgery on that knee.
The BEST News:
He is a Warrior! He will be great, and until surgery has to happen, he will play his heart out under the care of the trainer on the field and I trust she will take best care of him...
or
I'll be flying to Radford to talk with the Bobcats myself!
After dinner they were off to see Mom (Dot) who was dressed in a wig, multi-colored sock, and various other wildness, sitting in her chair with a guitar in her hands (no she doesn't play the guitar)
BUT
They all laughed and got me on the phone to listen as my boy opened his gifts.
<>

Mom is getting "stir crazy" in VA you can be sure by now... Still on a "sit/stay" doc orders til Tuesday.. she will be quite a mess by then!

Coffee is great as I look out at these daggone trees I want to get rid of ~ wassup with not being able to take trees down on your very own land without a permit anyway?
And on top of that you have to "pay for the permit"!
Imagine
They are MY TREES!
Nope don't need no one telling me what they think bout' that... I bought them when I bought the land and the house... it was a package deal...
permission to cut?
crazy I tell ya, just plain out craziness.
On top of all that... they are shading my sun, and we all know how I feel about the SUN!
They are shading my grass; as in making brown spots from the "lack of sun"...
In other words,
I want them "g o n e"
Now don't get me wrong, I love trees, yep truly I do.
Have all of my life.
BUT
I also love my sun, my lawn, my pool to have sun on it... and I don't like the "smutz" that falls from the trees either.

I'm feelin a trimming party coming!
Yep, that's what I'm thinkin.

Say YES, Once again!

"No one can be exactly like me. Sometimes even I have trouble doing it". -- Tallulah Bankhead
(I'll drink to that one!)

That may sound odd, reading it on this blog, but think about it. With all the aspirations we have to be all that we can be; to live large, to dream huge dreams, to be fearless, to know and live our own personal power, how do we do this day after day?
How do we sustain all this “personal power”?
How do we call up the energy we need day after day?

The answer is simple.
We have defined our lives as worth every moment. We are not willing to return to old, self-limiting habits and patterns.
So what is the alternative?

We must live in the moment.
This moment is the only one we have, so this is the very most important moment of our lives so far.
This is the moment that we can underscore our true potential. I might just gnaw those trees down with my teeth and my hands today, outshine the sun while doing it!

We need not look at what we will do tomorrow, we will celebrate today.

If we are really celebrating this moment, this day, we can do no less than bring every ounce of life force that we own to be sure that this moment is well spent.

We are making choices with every breath we draw.

Even the choice we make to kick back and do nothing in the moment may be restorative, allowing us to prepare our minds and bodies to jump back into the action. So we need also to acknowledge the need to take care of ourselves. Maybe I'll do that after I get rid of the evidence of the trees!

To nourish the vehicle we live in; our body. To feed our minds with new information. To be receptive to mental growth and sound mental health.

"The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans are suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they're okay, then it's you." Rita Mae Brown

Yeah, that is, a moment of levity, but the quip is just too good to pass by.

We must sleep well, rest as needed, exercise as we see fit, or to get fit… Another perfectly good reason to take care of these trees; good exercise, fellowship with friends, laughter, etc. and then wow, what a great sleep (sure hope it's not in a cell)!

We need the beauty of music and nature to complete the picture. And they all go together; plenty of trees to go around, behind my property line is what I love the view of the most! With the music playing loudly and the sky overhead, dancing in the moonlight (which now I cannot see thank you Mr Tree)

We do all this so that we can live with purpose. So that we can greet each day with the surety that our life is unfolding in a wonderful way. Wanna come gnaw on the trees with me... great fiber I'm thinkin'.

We are blessed.
We are grateful.
We are primed for all that this life offers.
In all that we are, and all that we have to give, we are enjoying the richness of life.

So together, Let's say YES... STOMP into the day with great gladness and joy! I'm feeling quite full of myself this morning ~ maybe I should drink some more of this de-caf... or go back to bed!

The fire is burning brightly, embers are hot with thoughts of so many on the winds today... What Uze talking about Dr. SES? STOMP??? Me with one leg elevated and the Sweet 16 with a knee problem, come on give us a break. Why is it when we have to stay with our leg in the air that we see so many things in our home that needs to be done? If I was well and running in fast gear I would not see those things. Knowing my friend was bringing me dinner yesterday I saw things laying around and guess what I picked them up and put them in the dish washer, good place to store stuff if at a time you cant put them in their proper place. Oh well, when I feel better maybe I will take care of that Stuff I see that needs to be done. ha. Live, Laugh and Love. Eat more beans and corn bread. Sounds good to me. Have a great day and weekend.

You go doc, gnawing trees down? Love the visual. I agree that some laws are just dumb. Lotsa laws are dumb come to think about it. So, mostly I ignore them. What days are visiting days at the jail? Where is the jail? I have really strong teeth, willing to gnaw too, maybe we could share a cell....
Hope everyone is geared up for yet another wonderful weekend. I know I am!

COB, COB, COB--DON"T worry about what's lying around--it will still be there when you're better. Just take care of that leg-as for D'Vante, he too will get better he just needs to give himself some TLC and follow the doc's orders. eat, laugh and love --have a great weekend everyone.

Hellooooo,
I personally have great talent when it
comes to discreetly trimming trees,
not too sharp with my teeth but sure
know how to use a kitchen knife...
most rules are made to be broken,
I always have said, for sure,... Sorry to hear about D'Vante"s injury.. warrior power to help
heal quickly... quite hard to keep a young
strong man down.. LOL.. putting the visual in
my head of COB and the wig... I think
I've done the same "stash" thing a time or
two..
I have become a strong believer in the
LIVE FOR THE MOMENT way of life,
cuz ya just neva know !!
Hope everyone has a wickedcool weekend!
May the Angels be the shadows that
follow us thru our days!!
