Okay, FULL AUGUST MOON: is the Sturgeon moon, will be on Tues the 24th. Fishing tribes are given credit to the naming of this moon, since Sturgeon, the large fish of the Great Lakes and other major bodies of water, were most readily caught during this month. A few tribes knew it as the Full Red Moon bacause, as the Moon rises, it appears reddish through any sultry haze. It was also called the Green Corn Moon or Grain Moon.
Just ask me, the Moon Child, head exploding with information and interest in the MOON.

Good Morning, wouldnt it be wonderful to wake up each morning with the beautiful sun shining in our faces and the water glistening in our eyes. This morning is a dreary day but lots of plans and hopes of being peaceful and fun with family. A family picnic on Sat.. with 63 family meeting on the LA river. All had lovely smiling faces, no grumpy allowed. Some families are so loving and caring. All worked and played together from the old 90 yrs. old to the little 4yr. old. Had good music from one of the family members and enough food to feed a Army. Welcome home again Soldier and God Bless You for Serving Our Country. No bright moon here last night. Blessings to all.
