Supporting our Troops: A Service Man's Heart supports a child with calm

God Bless
John Gebhardt
God Bless our Troops
and
Bring them home safely
to the loving arms of
America and their
Families

This story touched me to my core... so much so that I had to share it with you with the hopes that you are touched so deeply that you share it with those you like/love/dislike...
This is AMERICA
This is the "heartbeat of AMERICA"
Bittersweet?
YES
Moving?
Without a doubt.
Seen on TV?
Are you kidding me!
A phone call to tell you about it?
Heavens NO!
Have a great Monday ~ sure hope Texas is enjoying their soldier Madden home from Iraq ~ I hear he just has to hit every restaurant and dive there is while home!
Who could blame him right?
LOL
Enjoy every burger/hot dog/banana split soldier...
You are HOME of the free
because
Of the brave!
Crack open the piggy bank Cathy, son is home!

A story worthy of telling and re-telling:

John Gebhardt's wife, Mindy, said that this little girl's entire family was executed. The insurgents intended to execute the little girl also, and shot her in the head...but they failed to kill her.
She was cared for in John's hospital and is healing up, but continues to cry and moan. The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both slept in that chair. The girl is coming along with her healing.
He is a real Star of the war, and represents what America is trying to do.
John Gebhardt: heartbeat that soothes a child while serving his country.

This, my friends, is worth sharing with everyone you know by way of the moccasin telegraph and by this page!!

Why is it that we don't see this in the news or get voice recordings on our phones of this? My phone is blowing up with these damn politicians all talking smack about  their competitors/opposition these days, as is the TV, but do I ever hear/see something as bittersweet as this?
NO.

Please share this story, tell folks to click on http://www.drses.blogspot.com/ and read it here.

There is magic, beauty, profound heart wrenching purity in that picture:
the words of this man writing the story,
 the picture tells it all,
worth a heart beating of America,
AND  the American public needs to see this and we all need reminders to realize that what we're doing over there is making a difference,
even if we are against war, we are \
FOR THE THOSE WHO ARE SERVING OUR GREAT NATION.
Even if it is just one little girl at a time.

Thank you Marine,John Gariano for your service and for your love of your brothers and sisters here and there ~ yesterday Nam, today there and tomorrow... the fallen and those standing proud!

{Robin Williams once said,} "The statue of liberty no longer says... give me your poor your tired your huddled masses... She's got a bASEBALL BAT AND IS YELLING... YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME" Now that is funny! Imagine that look~~~

We don't need to bitch/rant/rave and condemn government, people and situations... and be a part of the growing problems...
HOW does that help???

WE DO NEED TO SUPPORT THE MEN AND WOMEN THAT ARE FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOMS...
WE DO NEED TO ACKNOWLEGE THAT WE LAY IN A WARM BED AT NIGHT BECAUSE OF THEM LAYING IN SAND/NOT SLEEPING/HOLDING THE INNOCENT IN THEIR ARMS AND PROVIDING COMFORT...

WE DO NEED TO CELEBRATE OUR LIVES... WE HAVE THIS MOMENT THIS DAY...
WE NEED TO UNITE AND STAND UNITED AS PEOPLE ... ONE PEOPLE UNDER GOD, ONE NATION... UNITED...

Look again at that picture above
and then look at this one:

We WILL ALWAYS
REMEMBER

The fire is burning brightly, its embers are hot with thoughts on the wind and across the waters to those who are serving, those who have served...
For those fighting the fights of their lives and mourning the losses...
We are with you, We stand beside you always,
We Are Warriors here, along with some powerful angels We stand strong for and with those out there fighting the fight, battling their battles and living their lives with gratitude and amazing grace, during the great and not so great times... through good times and profound sadness of loss times. We along with some powerful angels are with you, you are never alone...

Sending hope in healing on the winds to all who gather here
To those who are serving this great Nation, I thank you and your families, I want you home safely.

We are together in prayer, in thoughts of all that is needed to remind you out there, we are WARRIORS...

We are with you, along with some powerful angels... May you find comfort in knowing we are with you always: for that I give thanks, and so it is!

Waht an awesome story, and yes one that I would rather hear. Another unsung hero in service. Would that the news everyday shared just one brief clip of the many gifts our servicemen and women give. Thank you doc for this touching story.

Wonderful, powerful and heart felt picture. Yes we wonder why the news media does not print these stories of headlines around the world. I think the news media is now hung up on what is happening to Hollywood starts, cooking shows, models etc.. There is no news like this picture. I look at that picture and return and look at it over and over again. I can almost feel the heart beat of both child and soldier in my breast. My prayers are with both of them and I hope the baby will remember that great human being. This brings tears of joy to my eyes and love bursting in my heart. Thanks Dr. SES for sharing this wonderful photo for us to pray about our soldiers and God help them and keep them safe to return to their families soon. Blessings to all

Talk about heartfelt. Why don't themedia outlets grab a story like this. Instead we see the bombs, the tanks, and hear the numbers of lives lost. Appreciate your posting today as always, but especially this message.

Kudos to you Sherry for sharing this story. I had gotten it in an email and well, enough said...tears were shed!

Went to daughters house with soldier boy and his wife for a day in the pool. They are still there to welcome home his two nephews from their first day at school. 4th and 5th graders. They love their Uncle Nathan they do. He's a gamer so they love to ask him how to beat the games and what strategies to use. I've come home to the two four legged furry friends and will crash on the couch for a little naptime.

Husband smoked a brisket on Saturday so that was enjoyed by all yesterday and I think we will have a repeat tonight. Tomorrow my parents are coming in to see their grandson and his wife and spend the night at my sisters. FAMILY, it is good to know they are here, love is surrounding us all right now.
