Thoughts on Actions and Words ~ Oh yes, Happy MON-day

~ Fort Story Virginia Beach ~
Thoughts on
Actions and Words

Whew, it's Monday all ready... Yesterday a hub of activity with a wiry and talented fellow climbing a huge Oak tree like a little monkey... and then the chain saw began!
With friends, Stephanie, Chris and tree cutter Ray;
the limbs and the stuff began to fall as we cut back those limbs trying to rob the sun from shining!
Mitch arrived with his trailer to put the "debris",
BUT
Wait
wholly mackerel was there a lot of tree/stuff to cut up, rake up, bend over and stand up... and the trailer is brimming with no where to go on a Sunday but the driveway!
As I have my coffee, I'm thinking maybe we'll just let it sit for awhile there and call it "ART".
More focus on the "ooohhhhs" that occurred after the tree work as we all fell into the pool...
AAAAHHHH
felt great!
Makes me think of actions/words/deeds of wonderment by friends!

We actually did this back breaking stuff in 96 degree weather and had a great time!
Laughter, music blaring, dips in the pool for a quick respite...
With Ray climbing and hanging on a tree so far up it hurt my neck to look!
His actions spoke much louder than his words and his words were soft spoken and kind.
The kindness in deeds and talks of honesty were an added boost to a day of sweating, and making grand progress at the monumental task at hand.
The light:
oh my it is amazing the difference in the light when trees are topped out; the breeze is sweeter and more frequent, the light lasts longer, the aching is good, but the kindness and good actions of friends with words of warmth are the best!
Aaah Muleque
Dance Indeed, much was acomplished!

Do Actions Speak Louder Than Words; the same as words, less than words.... hmmmm, thoughts to ponder indeed!

We act the way we think, I'm thinkin.
Good thoughts lead to good actions.
Kind thoughts allow tender caring actions.
Mean, hateful, vengeful thoughts lead us to behaviors that create chaos and pain.
Isn’t there enough pain in life without our adding to it?
As important as words are, and they are VERY IMPORTANT, they are after all, only words.

A kind word with a kind deed speaks much louder.

Think about it. The way a person stands, totally silent, unmoving, can speak volumes about them. Are they stiff, head up or down?
Gaze on the horizon, eyes averted?
Are we seeing someone comfortable in their own skin, or do they look like they are facing the firing squad?
While this blog is not really about “body-language, our physical self plays apart in how our words are heard, and how our actions are perceived.

A smile or a scowl?
The same words can be uttered with either and give two entirely different meanings.
Often the exact same action can be menacing or welcomed.
What I do, and the manner in which I do it sends the message.
So how important is it that it all start with intention? Purposeful intention.
If I speak harshly while doing a kind deed, The action may be the same, but will the kindness be perceived as such? If I cuss and fuss while changing the tire of a stranded motorist will they remember the kindness or the complaints?

I’ve known people that would give you the shirt off their back, but grumble the whole time. I’ve also been gifted a humble smile by a man that had no shirt and felt in my heart, the gift.
So we are left more with the feeling we have than the deed that was done.

I may not have caused your pain, but I can tell you that I am sorry you are in pain.
I will not be jealous of your joy and express false gladness to undermine your celebration.
For first I will hold in my heart and mind, kindness and the sensitivity to respond thoughtfully and with good purpose.

If I am roaring mad, I must own it. I will not “take it out” on the wrong target.
This happens all too often to all of us.
Someone is tired, or hurt, or angry, or frustrated and we just happen to be in the right place at the wrong time. I will not do that unintentionally.

So I must take responsibility for my intentions. It’s ok to acknowledge that you have felt there human emotions, but not ok to dump them on the unsuspecting, or to teach people that you are so uncaring that it is simply your (SOP) standard operation procedure.
Feelin me this mornin'...

Our words, combined with our actions, are a reflection of the person we really are. I strive to be a kind and caring person, always.
It is truly what we hold in our hearts and minds that governs our outward behaviors. Behave well. Let this be our truth.... and in truth, I wish you a blessed and joyous day today ~

Guess your tree trimming is quite different than the one in December, INSIDE the house huh?
Bet it looks good and lets in sun, cool breeze.
How 'bout that storm ? What a light show.
Well, today's blog about actions speaking was dead on the $$. Mom always said that expression: "actions speak louder than words"
She taught us and drilled that into us to become kind and giving adults. I have to catch myself when the mouth runs in the wrong direction. I liked your reference to the tire changer. Aid with grumbling, not too good.
Enjoy the Monday we are given, staying cool.

Again, well spoken. Let there be light! Sunlight. I personally am Florida Oak Enemy #1. They are dirty, yucky and EVERYWHERE!
Plus they drop all that schmultz on the sidewalks and stuff. Anyway, loved today's message. Welcome home Chris! Beautiful evening here. What a heat wave, and what a beautiful storm last night. The thunder and lightening overlapped. Dosn't get much rowdier than that on a hot summer night. Hate to not get up early enough to read the blog before work. My days start better when I read first. Might just stay up all night tonight just to get a head start on Tuesday. Best to all.
